    This video was right on time. I purchased one of these for bag making (and other projects) after using it a workshop. I've never used one before so I was looking for any information about the press. When it came and I was following your instructions, the steam wasn't working.. You're right, there isn't a max line on the water container. I'm not sure if I didn't have enough water to begin with, but after filling it about an inch from the top, the steam finally started working. It may have been that it just needed some 'priming'. But it's working now and I am so loving it! The way it bonds the interfacing to the fabric is almost like a second skin. The edges are fused and cannot be peeled back. Loving that! Thanks again for your video. Very well documenting the way it works. I'm sure I'll come back to this video time and again. TFS!

    LOL -- I read your entire review on your website and i now know why the steam didn't work-- it hadn't reached the proper temperature. Good to know information. Thanks again.~

      Glad I could help! You know, it might have been a combination of priming, not enough water and temperature not reached. The press I have has a sign that is turned on when the steam is ready.

    I'm very interested in buying a steam press, but normally I have to iron dozens of shirts and so I'm asking myself, if it works well using it instead of a common iron...

    • @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry
      @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry  3 года назад

      I am not sure about shirts, it might be easier but it depends... sleeves will have creases and in some places it's hard to reach. I am using it for blouses but I don't press dozens, just one at a time. I am mostly using it for bedding and my fabric after prewashing.

      Where it creases and in hard to reach places please use the small cushion provided. Just spray the shirt where it has creases and press down without using the steam button.

    My singer Steampress went bonkers and started shooting steam out without pressing the steam buttons and the cover started to get holes in it before it went bunkers. Note singer does not supply replacement covers and Singer official site’s advice to me was to try to find one that would fit. I could not, but irrelevant since it quit working,

    • @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry

      I know what you mean; I also get used to some machine, find ways to use it properly, then one day it quits and I HATE that! But I guess nothing is permanent. Regarding the cover, I would actually make one myself, use regular quilting cotton for the top and some batting, or perhaps modify a regular ironing board cover.

      @@SewingTutorialsByAgeberry If I could still see with the arthritis in my hands, I could have made A cover. We returned the one because after the cover went bad, it started shooting steam straight out without pressing the steam button 😂.It was still under warranty and they sent A replacement, but the warranty for the replacement only extends to the time left on the original defective one. Seems they work for 6 months at most.

    I've had my singer press for 20 years. I've been using it for sublimation for two years, is there any way I can shut beeper off? I get ghosting when opening and shutting several times

    • @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry
      @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry  Год назад

      I do not know how to shut it off, sorry. However I don't think this model is 20 years old, and even if it is, it is very likely the construction of your machine is different than the one I have, which is only a couple of years old, so do not believe the two are identical.

    What about tshirts with prints ? How can i prevent it from damage?

    • @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry
      @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry  2 года назад

      If you set the correct temperature you will not damage it I guess. Also, use a pressing cloth. But I never tried to press t-shirts.

      You should! Unfortunately it is very likely by now the model I reviewed will be out of production, so who knows if the newer replacement will be the same. But the idea of steam press, that is excellent.

    • @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry

      I am not sure mine had any cover. I just cover it with a towel. But if you have time you can easily make one.

    Can I iron press jeans?

    • @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry
      @SewingTutorialsByAgeberry  2 года назад

      Can you iron jeans? Certainly! Do you want a crease? Because if you iron the full leg, you will get one with the press. You could probably use it in such a way to minimize the crease.
