I remember the shorts the most, particularly Artie fighting the ocean, and Big Pete failing to notice his girlfriend hitting on him "Did you know a baboon heart can pump enough blood to fill a swimming pool?"
Man- this brings me back. I didn't have cable networks in my house hold until much later during this show's run. By that time. The older Pete was either pushed to the far background. Or just disappeared entirely So when I viewed the show. It was more like- The Adventures Of Pete- Annnnd.................................Pete,it's just Pete.

How did you not mention Bebe Neuwirth or the origin of the song "Hey Sandy" by Polaris. Or even the fact that Polaris was a made-up band for the show. You missed so much about this show.
There are a lot of things I love about the show, but I think my favorite was the writers' steadfast refusal to explain some of the show's stranger elements.
I loved how the show, represented the characters and that it's ok to have habits or to be different. And everything without wokeness! No one complained about to less black people or "gender roles" or sexuality. 90' were the last good decade!
Nona and ellen were bae And I can't forget Artie The strongest man......In the WORLD!!💪💪 My favorite episode was night crawlers RIP "MOM" May you and the plate in your head. Finally find the perfect place to go number one!!
I was a nick kid as well. I remember this show though I wasn't a fan. Idk if this was the case in the USA, but in Mexico nickelodeon had another show called renford rejects (I think), I liked it a lot, even if I can barely remember what it was about
@@TheReviewStudios I only remember the premise of the show, it was about a school soccer team that loses every game they play. The thing I remember the most is the absolute banger intro, "Australia" by Manic Street Preachers
I remember when "the 90s are all that" block started, and modern Nick finally realized people really liked this old stuff, not just endless spengberb reruns... and they launched this whole plan to revitalize the network, make new stuff, get the old creators back, and they rightly put will mcrobb and chris viscardi at the helm and then just quietly canceled it later after a couple movies came out and nobody watched them because they didn't promote them. and one was an atrocity. but at least McRobb got to write the new Harriet the Spy series, and it kicked absolute ass.
I think I'd be a LITTLE worried about driving away a car I "found on the beach"... SOMEONE buried that for a reason ROFL.... I've seen enough cop shows that it could be a very bad thing. But it was still funny, from the sheer absurdity.
As a kid I thought this was a weird show seeing clips of the show as an adult were the directors and writers taking shrooms either way I remember watching this and laughing my ass off as a kid
50/50 this is a total lie but I swear I remember a cereal box giveaway (possibly Honeycombs lol) with a voucher-type thing you could mail-in for a cd soundtrack of the show if you paid S+H. The band's name was Polaris.
Do you remember this show?

Wow, I forgot all about this show. Absolutely me and my brother used to watch this show. I'm 40 years old now and you just unlocked a really good memory for me Thanks 🤯🤯🤯🫡
I call my dog Petunia because of this show.
Awesome 👌
Every Halloween i debate carving a Halloweenie pumpkin
Omfg Pete & Pete
I loved this show😊
Supposedly they didn't release season 3 because they were supposed to launch a retro nickelodeon network
How did you not mention Bebe Neuwirth or the origin of the song "Hey Sandy" by Polaris. Or even the fact that Polaris was a made-up band for the show. You missed so much about this show.
Amazing show. Think I have a season or two on DVD.
There are a lot of things I love about the show, but I think my favorite was the writers' steadfast refusal to explain some of the show's stranger elements.
Yeah, strange was normal
Pete and Pete could've been a prime time show on a major network. It would've fit in perfect on ABC.
Definitely
nobody ever mentions JK Simmons as 'dan the barber' in the list of cameos
I still want to live in wellsville
I have a Mandela effect for this show. I remember it during high school but I graduated in 92. I swear it came out in 1990 or 91
I loved how the show, represented the characters and that it's ok to have habits or to be different. And everything without wokeness! No one complained about to less black people or "gender roles" or sexuality. 90' were the last good decade!
Definitely
Nona and ellen were bae And I can't forget Artie The strongest man......In the WORLD!!💪💪 My favorite episode was night crawlers RIP "MOM" May you and the plate in your head.
Finally find the perfect place to go number one!!
I was a nick kid as well. I remember this show though I wasn't a fan.
Idk if this was the case in the USA, but in Mexico nickelodeon had another show called renford rejects (I think), I liked it a lot, even if I can barely remember what it was about
I don't remember that one
@@TheReviewStudios I only remember the premise of the show, it was about a school soccer team that loses every game they play. The thing I remember the most is the absolute banger intro, "Australia" by Manic Street Preachers
"Artie" is still one of my favorite superheroes🦸🤣
I remember when "the 90s are all that" block started, and modern Nick finally realized people really liked this old stuff, not just endless spengberb reruns... and they launched this whole plan to revitalize the network, make new stuff, get the old creators back, and they rightly put will mcrobb and chris viscardi at the helm
and then just quietly canceled it later after a couple movies came out and nobody watched them because they didn't promote them. and one was an atrocity.
but at least McRobb got to write the new Harriet the Spy series, and it kicked absolute ass.
I always thought little Pete's big shirts were something his mom made him wear after he got a tattoo.
Yes, they needed to be long sleeves, not necessarily oversized, though.
Totally Remember As Well As Alex Mac
Great show the telephone ringing 😎
The best Kids Shows of All Time!........... what would even come in as 2nd?
my favorite episode was the one where pete dug a tunnel out of the house because he was grounded.
Awesome episode, michelle trachtenbergs first storyline
@TheReviewStudios i dont remember who was in the survalence room hoping to catch pete, but i do remember he used a the statue of liberty to dig out.
I remember liking it but not any episodes lol if that makes sense
I want to get a Petunia tattoo.
Twin Peaks for kids
I forgot about the fuckin' tattoo.
It was the Malcom in the middle of the 90s
Worry not for I am Artie, the strongest man .........................................................................in the world
My kid is walking around the house saying this
I think I'd be a LITTLE worried about driving away a car I "found on the beach"... SOMEONE buried that for a reason ROFL.... I've seen enough cop shows that it could be a very bad thing. But it was still funny, from the sheer absurdity.
Absolutely
Was that Vern Shillinger giving big Pete a hair cut?
I was thinking the same thing 🤔 but didn't see his credit
Hey review i wasn't a big fan of this show it was part of my childhood . I hope u do a segment of more nick and disney channel shows. ❤
#DisneyDiva ❤
👋 hey ,definitely more to come
@@TheReviewStudios thanks 😀
As a kid I thought this was a weird show seeing clips of the show as an adult were the directors and writers taking shrooms either way I remember watching this and laughing my ass off as a kid
Open face!
The OG villain
50/50 this is a total lie but I swear I remember a cereal box giveaway (possibly Honeycombs lol) with a voucher-type thing you could mail-in for a cd soundtrack of the show if you paid S+H. The band's name was Polaris.
Yes, you had to send in proofs of purchase to get the soundtrack cassette
Yeah, it was a cassette. I still have mine.
