The best part about Artie is he clearly has actual superpowers but everything he does is so underwhelming. Like the time he pushed a guy's entire house... half an inch.
I packed Artie away somewhere in the abyss of my mind. I talked to a dude today named Artie and the memory's surfaced. Found these and now I'm complete. Funny how you think you forget things until you remember haha.
6:09 My fraternal twin brother and I used to do this when we were kids (before this show was even a thing). Thanks for this compilation of Artie, you included all of my favorite moments of him.
this is amazing! thank you compiling this and keeping it interesting and good cuts and the varied captions were a really awesome touch. that last scene between Pete and Artie still gets me misty. Artie was really a symbol for us kids to see and know there were good adults that would empathize with us and not treat us as inferiors. stay weird & loyal and do the right thing are two huge takeaways I will always carry with me due in part to Artie, The Strongest Man; In The World!
My brother sent me a song and asked me if I remembered it. I told him yea but all I remember was it was a nick show. F'n Pete and Pete. Saw him on the opening and forgot Artie existed so had to look up some clips. I think I found the right video.
Been binging Toby Huss and seeing Artie's name a lot. 1) I love the name and photo. 2) so glad to see this comment on a really well done video. Well done gents!
I remember tearing up at the "Farewell little Viking" episodes. I felt like something got taking away from me I think. Also the ren and stimpy music video they would play randomly about friendship
When showcasing Artie's colorful insults for his foes in the beginning, you left off my favorite: When first confronting Hathead, Artie calls him a "Dastardly Insect- Boy!" Perfect insult for a bully like Hathead to make everyone else realize they shouldn't be afraid of him! I may need to get back into playing 'DC Universe Online,' if for no other reason than to create Artie for it! He'd totally be a "Tank"- type with super- high defense! He'd have loads of brawling/ strength- based attacks of course, and I might throw in some atomic/ radiation- based powers too so he can REALLY throw down against the forces of evil! Creating Artie's outfit/ appearance will likely be very difficult (i.e. His trademark glasses may need to be changed into a pair of goggles), but I'll do the best I can!
Hey this was an instant subscribe for me. Thanks for all your hard work. This is a great super cut. I really hope you can redo this once we have better footage from the PETE AND PETE HD PROJECT.
- Artie the strongest man in the world - The Wiz from Seinfeld - The fake ID guy in Vegas Vacation - Big Mike from Reno 911 - Stumpy in Carnivale Toby Huss is an underrated classic!
Every year, I wish for the same joyous holiday surprise with all my heart, to no avail... Maybe someone will be in costume as Artie, The Strongest Man in the World for Decemberween someday...
@@MJubecki1984 hahahaha yes! The voodoo crispy is what i was thinking of. Such a great name. I dont remember the diesel jerk though. is it from the same episode?
Well he was certainly viewed with suspicion from most of the adults on the show. I mean his whole last 2 episodes are about all the adults trying to get rid if him. But yeah today he would have the cops called on him. I mean really he needs adult protective services, because he's clearly got some sort of cognitive disability and is living in a porto-potty.
But he genuinely does have superpowers, they just tend to be fairly underwhelming. I think we're just supposed to take him at face value, he's a crazy super-powered weirdo.
Lol as a kid I was super uncomfortable with this character. He was so weird, ran around doing nonsense all day and honestly seemed like a caricature for mentally disabled person.
The best part about Artie is he clearly has actual superpowers but everything he does is so underwhelming. Like the time he pushed a guy's entire house... half an inch.
Yes, I always remembered that part, I’m glad I’m not the only one
What about driving a golf ball 300,003 yards?
@@mikemoss6045 that’s obviously just great form and follow through
He pushed Ellen's house 2 inches to the left I believe
That was amazing because the guy missed his house key in the lock by one inch and screamed nooooo!
My childhood was filled of acting like Artie
artie
My adulthood is filled with acting like artie
LMAO
"I will *fold* you _seven times!"_ 😂🤣💀
“Don’t look boy, don’t look!..Just once. N’ohhhh!” I literally laughed out loud.
The greatest television character of all time.
PIPE!
...of, ALL TIME!
Here lies Pete and Artie they answered the call 😌👏👏👏😎✊☯️ Well said
Love seeing my childhood again. Decades have passed and I still can't hear the name "Artie" without thinking "the strongest man... in the world!"
Squirrel Tactics Brought me here
I packed Artie away somewhere in the abyss of my mind. I talked to a dude today named Artie and the memory's surfaced. Found these and now I'm complete. Funny how you think you forget things until you remember haha.
True that!
It’s how it works.
I don't remember forgetting anything.
99% of stuff I laughed at as a kid doesn't hold up.
Artie actually gets better.
Thanks for your efforts. If Artie was an Avenger, that Endgame movie would've been really short!
Artie and Ms. Frizzle are two of the best time lords
man the episode where he left straight broke me.
Toby Huss voiced "Kahn" and "Cotton Hill" among others on King of the Hill which is awesome too
I HAD NO IDEA 😮
He also played Mr. Tastee on this show!
Yes, that was him under the goofy mask.
@@Adamguy2003 Wow! So if you think about it, Artie was actually living a double life and he was only pretending to look for Mr. Tastee! Haha
I really miss the 90s.
When I need a shot of nostalgia, I always take a quick trip to Wellsville.
He was the hero we deserved AND needed
Artie from Pete and Pete reminds me of Pee-wee Herman. RIP Paul Reubens.
@ 2:55 When he yells "Gutter Lover!!!" at the bowling ball. *LMFAO!!*
This show was so unique
We will never forget you Mr.Tastee
Artie, the king of the real battle and hero to kids everywhere... remember, DONT GIVE UP HOPE
Everybody last year: "I love and miss this! My childhood!"
Now: "I CAN'T BELIEVE I WATCHED ANY OF IT!" 😅
Artie seems like something out of SpongeBob 😂
This man embodies my thoughts and references. Pete and Pete was an avante garde childrens program ❤
5:10 Mashing time boyyy
MASHING TIME!!

Thanks so much! I totally agree.
Great, now i have to buy the box set. Thanks

I could watch this every day.
That makes me happy. Glad you like it.
Video of the Gods! Well done my little viking!
A greater honor I could not ask for. Thank you! Pipe!

I loved Artie. I had this weird enormous crush on him.
Oh that's not weird!
Music of the gods my little Viking 🤣🙌🏻. I always thought that Artie was an imaginary friend 🤷🏻♀️
Just a weirdo
@@tbbm 🤣 yeah but he was funny
This show was like, your favourite indie song.... The 1st time you got to hear it.
Y'know...maybe this is why I grew up so wierd.
Certainly why I did.
I remember tearing up at the "Farewell little Viking" episodes. I felt like something got taking away from me I think. Also the ren and stimpy music video they would play randomly about friendship
Such a classic
This is the best video on RUclips.
Thank you so much!
ALL IS PIPE!
This man taught me how to dance.
“I’m here to make you a lucrative offer”
“MMMMMM TASTY SANDWICHES”

"Don't let it smell your fear!"
"Too late."
"Gah!"
Toby Huss was also Nitro in Down Periscope & the Fake ID, Sinatra imitator guy in Vegas Vacation.
He was Also weird als dad in weird
"Stick your head on the hole and say Joey Heatherton" 😂
Looking back at this now, this guy reminds me so much of Robin Williams.
- Artie the strongest man in the world

Say Pom Pom, I really like your Strangest Man In The World costume!
3:20 bruh, is that Sal from the Sopranos!?!? 😲
Hell's yes. That show had THE best cameos.
Looks like a big pussy to me.
Pure genius
the man is too OP for New Jersey
Once you see it…
The one man who can beat Saitama, Yujiro, goku, super man and Golden Experience Requiem all at once
Yep, Toby Huss is the funniest.
Pipe!
He looks like he should be in a ska band like the aquabats or something 😂
Does anyone remember what the dance was called when Artie interrupted the marching band? Its driving me crazy.
Lol! it was both the Voodoo Crispy and the Diesel Jerk.

The funniest scene was artie eating the throwing star. Found it 2:06
If only I could figure out how to post a pic of me as Artie for Halloween. Some other guy was Artie the same year. Onward!
My Rpg lineup was always this
Leader : Skipper (Penguins)
Warrior: Artie. (P&P)
Mage. : Uncle grandpa (UG)
Cleric. : Nurse Joy (Pokemon)
He's the Wiz!!
Reese Roper was great on this show.
Wha in the actual hell is this anywayZ. At this point i need to know more about Arnie lol 🤣 😅
Today Artie would be viewed with suspicion for hanging around so many kids. 😆
Hunter S. Thompson was Artie's Dad.
Robin Williams was his brother.
Blink, I say, you stinky bee!
From an age where things can make you smile and also bust a gut instead of just being shocked and thinking what the fk?
All the arties from the school district came to my school on a bus shorter than the rest
A pity that Artie retired, got married, had a kid, and was killed by Michael Myers in 2018.
I mean is there even an argument that the 90s aren’t the best decade ever at this point?
I call people schwinn rider to this day.
Ever wonder why the world sucks now? Its because Artie isnt around anymore
Toby Huss still exists. An Artie still exists in our heart.
PIPE!

Wth is Iggy Pop the lizard king doing in pete and pete? Lol
You ever realized though how much artie looks like waldo
artie is the man! ty sur

I didnt know the fallout 4 joke "pipe" started here
What the heck, a future Sopranos character tried to bribe Artie?!
This was PIPE
PIPE!
One of Toby Huss best rolls besides Cotton lol
Nice😂😂😂
When you grow up and realize Artie was probably a mentally challenged fella whose parents threw him out, and that's why he lives in a porta potty. 😢
But he genuinely does have superpowers, they just tend to be fairly underwhelming. I think we're just supposed to take him at face value, he's a crazy super-powered weirdo.
It’s Toby Huss aka Colonel Cotton Hill!
He killed fiddy men!
Furthermore he stops hanging out with little Pete when he hits puberty
When Where’s Waldo Amalgamates into a person.
And has a nervous breakdown?
and then he went on to kill fiddy men
I don't know the way they spoke about him in the orange days documentary was like he was a creepy pedo😅
feel like Chris Fleming would crush this role
😂😂😂😂😂
I didn’t appreciate this show at the time. One of my regrets
Scott the woz and avgn *****
Is that Iggy Pop 5:50 ?
You bet your boots it is. He appeared in a few episodes. Apparently he had sucha good time he just hung around once his filming was done.
Lol as a kid I was super uncomfortable with this character. He was so weird, ran around doing nonsense all day and honestly seemed like a caricature for mentally disabled person.
And for me it was career goals!
Why did he yell pipe?
Probably for the same reason The Tick yelled Spoon. But who knows!
So Artie is autisitc, right?
He left to sell crack in Reno lol
I hate canoes.
