Aladdin not being on Disney plus is the weirdest thing. It is one of the few times that Disney did a complete full end to end story of a character. Usually you have the prince and the princess meeting and happily ever after. But with Aladdin you had the meeting not getting married but also with the television show working on that relationship then building it up to the final two and third movies that led to their full complete story.
I'd call the Simpsons more of a failure than the Critic. They cling to life like a vampire, sucking the life out of anyone that gets too close. The Critic made me laugh, and I still look back on the show and smile. If success means being on the air for 30+ terrible seasons, I'd take failure.

WildC.A.T.S had a rival show called Ultra Force (basically another X-Men ripoff). Both only lasted one season, but what happened afterwards was that both Marvel and DC bought out their publishers (Wild Storm and Malibu) and absorbed the series. Thankfully, they both still exist (WildC.A.Ts belong to DC and show up every now and then, but Ultra Force is pretty much dead...thanks Marvel).
yeah and Malibu getting eaten by Marvel during production of the show is part of why the show ended. Once Marvel's own bankruptcy hit and they came out of it as a division of ToyBiz, Avi Arad said Ultraforce is a Marvel property. I won't have Marvel properties at a rival toy company. So without an Ultraverse toy line, there was no need for a show. Being on in syndication where fewer people would see it meant nobody would notice it was gone.
LOVED LOVED LOVED BUMP IN THE NIGHT!!!! Here in Argentina was decently popular, being aired on a national 24 hours all-cartoon cable channel. Oh man you made my day =3 Wild C.A.T.S - I used to watch this show I liked it tho not a lot. It was fun and had heroes, Most the members are Justice Leagers now, it is funny. The Shnookums & Meat Funny Cartoon Show - I remember the super hero part a tiny bit, I will say I maybe saw a few eps, I just do not remember this show at all, tho I know I saw an ep or three. Littlest Pet Shop - I never saw this, I know of it just never caught my eye The Critic - This, I love this show, it so could come back and he could be a online critic and maybe change some other things, it would be a great show to see return. Simspons are tired and old and not funny anymore. This show I wish they bring back and the movies he review where bad, they could make up a few movies now and then add a real movie or two it be a great show really they missing out not brining him back. Bump In The Night - I be honest, this is the first time I heard of this show LOL Well my rant over I will like this video mostly for the Critic and second place Wild Cats, hopefully you do not mind my rants LOL
The Critic is amazing. And while Jay has an arrogant attitude he is constantly knocked down a peg or three. Similar to why people liked Michael Scott on the office. It works in my book.
I only remember the critic and that he appear on the Simpson. N it crazy how your abc break follows along with RUclips breaks very kool. How u do that idk lol.
Shnookums literally looks like Ren and Stimpy if you have bad vision, or a little kid who doesn't know better, or I guess that's what producers hoped for.
I do remember watching Bump in the night tried turning on an episode a few years back and didn't really age well as far as trying to watch it as an adult
I remember Wild CATs, but I was very into the Marvel VS Image drama at the time. I very rarely watched it, though, because it ran in the same time slot as X-men 😝
I’ve watched that critic show back when it aired, and watched the wildcats cartoon in reruns on the USA network like you mentioned in this video, and I didn’t watch the other ones though💁🏻♂💯.
The Critic was a hilarious, excellent series that unfortunately had a hard time finding an audience. I search for clips and scenes from it on RUclips. Duke Phillips is one of my favorite characters of all time.
Who else has that feeling somewhere between their chest and tummy while watching these? I can NOT believe I am fixing to be 42!!!! It feels like JUST yesterday! I really feel so very bad for modern children!
You can't say The Critic as a failure if it survived being cancelled by one network and revived on another. It didn't get a third season more because Fox was not quite ready for a whole night of adult animation. Whereas, WildC.A.T.s died mostly because CBS was trying to trim their Saturday mornings until it was nothing. (All CBS died cartoons were dead by Fall of 1997.)
@@TheReviewStudios At conventions I've the pleasure of talking to people involved with The Critic. All of them agree that had a. home media releases of full seasons been a thing at the time. b. Fox took Sunday's in a weird direction of mixing two animated comedies (Simpsons and King of the Hill) with The X-Files, The Critic PROBABLY would have gotten another season. C. If they knew how well the show would do in its third life as comedy central reruns, they might have had a shot at season three. Though The Simpsons, KOTH, X-Files Sundays sorta made sense. The Simpsons and X-Files were the network's two biggest hits. But it left them with the problem of 'what do we do with the other six days of the week.' Which is why something like 65% of the regular series Fox launched between 1995-2002 were one season wonders and of those some of them didn't even air their full initial 13 order.

"Im in... im in the porcelain" a song from bump in the night has been stuck in my head for three decades
It's Crazy what stays with us over the years.
Oh man you made my day =3
Wild C.A.T.S - I used to watch this show I liked it tho not a lot.
Littlest Pet Shop - I never saw this, I know of it just never caught my eye
The Critic - This, I love this show, it so could come back and he could be a online critic and maybe change some other things, it would be a great show to see return. Simspons are tired and old and not funny anymore. This show I wish they bring back and the movies he review where bad, they could make up a few movies now and then add a real movie or two it be a great show really they missing out not brining him back.
Bump In The Night - I be honest, this is the first time I heard of this show LOL
Well my rant over I will like this video mostly for the Critic and second place Wild Cats, hopefully you do not mind my rants LOL
I can't wait him talking about cartoons in my birth year
What year?
@@TheReviewStudios the same year Scooby Doo zombie movie (the good one) come out
The Critic was awesome. When I saw Jay Sherman on Simpsons I though it was Allan Sherman as a kid
Wildcats, bump in the night and the critic kept me entertained as a child. I even had a maul action figure.
Damn those ABC cartoon bumpers bring me back!
That WildC.A.T.S. theme song unlocked *memoriessssssss*
Nice
The Critic was such a great show. "If I could be any vegetable, I'd be a carrot."
I always loved the critic it was a hilarious show i think my mom caught on with that show too as she loved watching it as well
It was
Had the Wildcats comics but didn't know it was a show.
Funny thing is, in Argentina, most of these cartoons were remembered. They were not as rare as US thinks :D
cool, thank you for sharing
The Critic was a hilarious, excellent series that unfortunately had a hard time finding an audience. I search for clips and scenes from it on RUclips. Duke Phillips is one of my favorite characters of all time.

Who else has that feeling somewhere between their chest and tummy while watching these? I can NOT believe I am fixing to be 42!!!! It feels like JUST yesterday! I really feel so very bad for modern children!
We love to hear this! Thank you so much for your views and comments!
‘ Bump In The Night ‘is a classic especially the Christmas episode
Loved Wild Cats 😂
You can't say The Critic as a failure if it survived being cancelled by one network and revived on another. It didn't get a third season more because Fox was not quite ready for a whole night of adult animation. Whereas, WildC.A.T.s died mostly because CBS was trying to trim their Saturday mornings until it was nothing. (All CBS died cartoons were dead by Fall of 1997.)
Yeah that one falls more into the "Short Lived" category
I Fing love bump in the night, and people still make me think the entire show might have just been a fever dream
