Blacken both sides of the knife blade with a Sharpie or the like, it reduces reflection making it much easier to keep on course when cutting. A pencil eraser also makes a good burnisher 👍

It’s definitely not easy stuff to work with. If you do decide to use it I would recommend putting it on an aircraft with relatively easy contours.
MIG-15. MIG 21. F-86. F104. Those sorts of things will work great with foil. They're cylinders, basically, with some flat parts.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll try tackling foil again in the future. On a much plane with much simpler lines.
