this was very informative actually and just solidified the fact that my gender is not neutral. i'm maverique (the boring monogender non-fluid version) and i have been somewhat wondering what exactly gender neutrality is recently because when most people use the term gender neutral, they're just saying "this can apply to any gender" but when it comes to people and actual genders it always felt somewhat unclear to me. to be honest, i still don't fully understand some aspects of it simply because i don't experience them, like what a neutral overlap between genders or neutralising genders would feel like. at one point i did identify as androgyne in the sense of being a mix of masc and fem but that never felt neutral to me. but i don't have to understand it either. my gender feels very well defined, no overlap with anything or something like that, so it feels like in a way it's almost the opposite of neutrality while i also still consider neutrois people my siblings in gender. i've been having some impostor feelings recently about whether my gender is actually real and if i'm really just neutral, as in, whether distinct abinary genders actually exist or if we're all just part of the same "neither" soup. your video put a lot of things into perspective and while i don't understand everything, i do understand that neutrality as a gender quality does not describe me, which is very personally helpful.

I like the idea of a gender being quite the opposite of neutrality because one of my genders is neutral (possibly neutrois) and it's interesting to imagine it being flipped around. No overlap, no change, no in-between-ness, and definitely not genderless. Maverique is unique and that's what I love about it. It's a term I really enjoy but never used for myself.
Thank you for sharing your perspective and experience!
