So how do you make a large small monster? I hate it when I’m creating a monster and it turns out to be microscopic
Fuse it with Bongo Drongos- they tend to be pretty big
Interesting. In the 3DS games, they usually made it so a specific species would always only be one size.
Yeah this is way more interesting, feels like finding a shiny when you see a giant or tiny version in the wild
Aww, I was hoping there would be medium too. I love big ass monsters but taking up 2 slots makes me more careful, despite their extra traits. Though in the demo I had a 20 foot zombie and equally huge scarfish. It was so comical seeing the tiny trainer behind them.
does anyone happen to know if it's possible to synthesize for a SMALLER small monster? I have a HUGE small Dragon Slime with great talents, but I think it'd be cuter if it were smaller.
Meanwhile I’ve got the world’s tiniest Shogum. Thing is so tiny it’s hard to see on the battle screen.
The pearl in a fresh-caught Scallop slime from the Caprice Lower cave is bigger than the entire Shogum.
Some of my monsters are very very small and even if i fuse them with large ones they don't seem to change. Any idea on what i should do ?
Question, If a Monster is larger than usual but still labeled as "small" does that mean it has higher stat than the average or all "small" labeled monsters have the same stats regardless of their sizes?
It does not seem to matter but we arent 100% sure
Bigger monsters change stats like speed and defense, with larger "small" monsters having higher defense and lower speed essentially, and the opposite for smaller "small" monsters
@@evannichols3043 Thank you ! :D
I was so confused by the different encounters, so i hunted down the larger skelletons for an hour without noticing a difference while syntesizing. besides they where are sized as small while clearly are larger on screen. maybe its really just a small stat difference when they are not labeled bigger.
Quick question, I currently have corvus Small 1slot, want to put him full physical Large, but I cant find the way to get him by fusion...
So which monsters are you carrying over from demo ? And why?
I can’t wait for the game tomorrow
Just put in my pre-order on the digital deluxe edition at the last second to get the extra pre-order goodies! Also really looking forward to playing this, it's been quite a long while since we got a DQM game in the Western regions!
I like big ass monsters on my team so I kind of miss the original Dragon Quest Monsters where size of monsters does not affect your roster
Now you have to use strategy rather than steamroll through the game
@@SlimeBlueMS The original DQM was incredibly difficult and unrelenting. Furthermore once you entered a map you were forced to play it through, your monsters didn't restore hp and mp on level up, and you had no way to fast travel. If you died on the boss, you had to go through the entire map again just for another chance to beat him. Bosses were extremely difficult. DQM Dark Prince is very, VERY easy in comparison.
@@Xykaru breeding Breeding Breeding. Dran can be caught, and goes well with Rexy. Hale is very good, and can be bred into a unicorn fairly quickly. Gupple and dragon make Andreal, which when mated with the demon/dragon Medusaeye make Orochi, one of the best of Dragon family. An easy Dracolord can be bred by mating the Servant in a later world with the Andreal or Greatdrac. Breed a Pheonix with a Dragon to make a Skydragon. That Skydragon combines with Orochi to make Divinegon, one of the best monsters in the game. The only limit to Dragon Warrior monsters is Exp, after all…
I saw another content creator discover a Large monster actually during the tutorial (it decimated him and he had to flee) and what looked like another one on the way back to town (he steered well clear of it).
i bet it was the big cyclops that almost killed him. there is a difference between monsters that are always large (like the cyclops) and normal monsters that appear in a Larger size (you usually can tell by the battle music) . Normally you get 1 monster that is always large per map. they are like overworld bosses, deadly and very hard to kill and scout, but give good xp in the beginning
Normal monsters of the larger size are just a bit stronger than usual and are not really that problematic.
This game looks great! Can't wait to play it. I do wish the switch had trophies though. I get they dont want kids to get addicted, but just have the system automatically turn the mechanic off and require parental access to turn them on.
Kids are already addicted so that plan was pointless anyways lol
JRPG are in itself extremely addicting, I don't think that achievements change that...
Do you have any ideas if there are 3 or 4 size monsters in the game?
as far as i know there's just 2
the huge and giant monsters were completely overpowered in competitive battles, I guess that's the reason why this time we only have two sizes.
@@GymLeaderEdwe actually have 5 size
Extra Small, Small, Large Small, Small Large, Extra Large
The boss in area always gonna be Extra Large, and usually when fusion we will not gonna get Extra Large Monster, only Small Large.
However only S and L matter in team building
Which kind of monster should get large and which one should stay small ?
Hunter Mech is MANDATORY to stay Small, Small Hunter Mech has Act 1-3 times allowing for insane damage output while Large Hunter Mech only has Attack 1-2 times losing an ENTIRE attack turn
Can I fuse my large monster down to a small monster? I have eternal serpent but it's large. I'd like to try and have a small monster team though
Yea just fuse it with a small monster
i have an L monster that can only go into L sizes, is there a way to reduce it to S size in anyway with synth?
(i tried every combination i have atm, and all results are L size, but i need it to be S)
fuse it with a small monster it the result should be a small
@@GymLeaderEdthe results are all L when i fuse it with any S monster, no matter what monster i use ;A;
First!😂
Great video
On what consol ?!
Switch it releases tomorrow I can’t wait
