Appreciate it! Started on a saturday and was done by tuesday! That’s not working all the time obviously had a bunch of downtime on waiting for a ride to go to parts store etc. But definitely doable in a weekend!
not out of the question but haven’t ordered anything for this yet, i’m closely monitoring temps under and gathering a list of upgrades for the future such as the metal push to connect fittings for the wastegate lines and some reflective heat tape just to be safe. I’ve heard pros and cons of heat wrapping the downpipe just need to do more research!
@ Ah gotcha, what were the negatives of the heat wrap? Just wondering because I wrapped my downpipe and my exhaust manifold, hoping that wasn’t a mistake
some of the cons i’ve seen is that it can damage the actual metal material and that it holds moisture and liquids so if you get oil or coolant on the wrap it will need to burn off there just makes me nervous. I’m looking into alternatives like cerakote but still very early into researching both options.
@@mikespeed3928 i can make a more in depth video on this but upon much research the only difference is that KLM kit comes with the 3” pro claps for charge pipe and comes with protective sleeve for oil feed line like i bought but neither of these make the kit worth 2x the price. The stuff that matters is the exact same, 1.66 inch manifold runners that are both tubular, twin 45 mm wastegates, same downpipe and wastegate tube sizes, same turbo configurations.
@@EthanFox got it. And last question man. You don’t know how much I needed these questions answered. The wastegates, did you leave the springs as is when they came in or did you change them to another specific color ?
Ask your tuner what they prefer, for me he wanted me to leave the 14lb springs in there since i have a 4 port mac solenoid i’ll have no issue doubling boost pressure but it depends on your setup and what your tuner wants to do! Shoot me a DM on instagram if you have any more questions i’m here to help!
Always super cool to see our clients cars!
Bro my kit gets installed in the 20th. Words can’t explain how excited I am. Can’t wait to hear and see how she pulls.
@@kpippen8 You’re gonna love it!
As a fellow DIY’er i’m absolutely loving this content brother. Subbed! How long did the entire install take you?

@@EthanFox Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping to do a 6466 DocRace kit soon and also tune with Shoup. Are you planning on doing PI soon?
Great video again brother! 👏🏻👏🏻

i’ll keep uploading as long as you keep commenting
Solid build! Just wondering if you’re planning on heat wrapping the downpipe to reduce some more of that heat

How does this kit compare to the KLM turbo kit?

@ awesome brother ❤️ great video. Keep winning
no 93, are you in Utah?
take a bigger fire extinguisher next time
pack two small ones if you're doing the work yourself in the future
only had the one, i have one ordered with a seat mounting bracket so i’ll have one at all times!
Hey bud, I just purchased a DR bottom mount precision turbo. Do I need that Mac solenoid ?
yes which then you will need a motiv reflex to control it
@ does the solenoid connector plug right into the reflex aux connector or did you have to cut and connect the two?
@@Wh0_Me_B58 i did wiring for motiv reflex in pt.1 the motiv reflex i got didn’t come with a connector so i added one for power and signal
