Marcus is so very good at his job.
I was looking forward to the game later but am now absolutely pumped for some Nation's League action.

The flip side to this is that if players regularly skip mid-season breaks, then it will be impossible for any manager to implement and work on a settled starting 11 and system that has their side ready for the tournament.
Everyone was moaning about England's performances in the summer, how do you expect to produce cohesive, organised displays if you get to a tournament and are suddenly throwing a group of players together who haven't played together for most of the previous 12 months.
Some people couldn't care less about England and only care about their club, thus don't care about the above, which is completely fine. But there are lots of others who will clamour for players to be rested and youngsters to be blooded during the mid-season breaks, only to then moan when England can't just suddenly flick a switch and produce fluid free-flowing displays once the best players are all available for the big games i.e the tournaments.

They want to play meaningful football, simple.

There are 10 games between now and Boxing Day if you’re in Europe and League Cup. This international break is ridiculous so players are gonna drop out with a slight knock, it’s not rocket science.

Why don't they just use random selection, like in jury service? Everyone with boots will get a go; there are so many "games".

@@NeilHardy-i4l Then you must not exercise much or go to the gym. Rest after intensive exercise is vital - a lot of these England players are beginning to cross the line on what's considered a sensible amount of rigorous physical activity.

International football is played at an embarrassing standard and most games are awful. Its played at leagie 2 level. As a spectacle it is a waste of space.
