Jackie, for all she loves to believe she's capable of reading Shauna's mind, is not a mind reader. Maybe it's because I'm 40 watching yellowjackets but I feel like a lot of you are too young or weren't born in the 90s to understand Ben's character and story. First, Ben did take charge of a lot of things in season one, he was the one to teach them hunting and how to take apart an animal. He literally countered Travis sexism on multiple accounts. You couldn't be openly gay in the 90s, Ben would've gotten fired and made a pariah! Y'all aren't understanding that he was upset over his leg because that effects how he would be viewed in both the LGBT community and the world he's still closeted in. He could have also been an athlete and soccer player too. The reason the scene with Paul is important is because he didn't have to make the trip and was thinking about coming out even if it meant ending his school career. Also being a health teacher in the 90s didn't mean you'd know anything about giving birth. A lot of schools didn't have trained professionals (like nurses etc) teaching that class until the 2000s..so yeah I didn't think a gay man would've been any help, especially if he is also going thru mental issues.
I didn’t read all of this lol, but as soon as I saw you were defending him I likes the comment. Because I think the Yellowjackets get excused for things that Ben gets hated for. Like you cannot tell me adult Shauna would take charge in a pregnancy situation like in the teen timeline.
I was born 2002 and I completely understood his struggle. And I know how little we learn about health care in school. Like I live in Germany and I think we are more progressive than 90s America but like it's not like Birth is a big topic in health class. While Ben was ostracized by the group since the night Jackie slept outside, and when they realize they need him, he's obligated to do something? I'm sorry for Ben.
There’s this thing that Shauna does sooo many times even as a grown up she throws a pity party by mentioning her traumas or having a side character do that for her… but like no if you’re gonna do horrible things you bet your ass it’s gonna be held against you. I need the Jackie supporters to stand up
So glad somebody actually understands half of the characters. Way too many people were way too quick to hate on Jackie when really it was all just a lack of communication. Can’t wait for season 3. Definitely subbing so i can come back!
god I know right Jackie was genuinely one of the best characters. shauna hater till the day i die fr, she was such a shitty friend and then proceeded to whine throughout like MA'AM ATLEAST DO EVIL WELL
Im so sick and tired of the Ben slander. Like if you don’t like him you are blinded by the main characters. Because he was in the same situation the girls were. He had no experience with pregnancy. He was just a coach and they stuck him in a random position, like schools normally do. There was no way for him to help, and if that is your only problem with him it’s insane to want him to die. All of the girls in the show have MANY flaws and we are all so quick to forgive them. I just don’t see a valid reason to hate Ben…
dawg the problem isn’t that ben didn’t know what to do its that he left the TEENAGE GIRLS with even LESS experience than him to handle the traumatic situation instead of standing tf up. no one in that cabin had any experience, they were all young and horrified, and the ONLY adult there chose to stick his head in the sand. FUCK HIM for leaving them to deal with that. they all had to face it, they all stayed to support their friend, which you seem to forget. a bunch of teenage girls could go what a grown ass man was too scared to face. i mean seriously.
@@whispers342The grown ass man was starving and had to watch his students tear up the body of their teammate like animals. @whispers342 I never said that what he experienced was worse than the others. But he was always an outsider of the group and in this moment when they needed him on the brink of starvation due to missing out on feasting on Jackie. He was mentally not even there and dissociating extremely. The point is to show how like Jackie Ben also became an outsider and distanced himself from the group and their cult like behaviors. Literally nothing would've even changed if he would've "helped". He had zero knowledge like the rest of the girls LIKE HE SAID. They were very aggressive towards him before it like Mari just saying that he ate their food and that judging him for not participating in eating Jackie. Literally compared to the others he did nothing wrong to get this extreme hate. Like you said everyone is suffering and everyone is behaving in the way they are capable of. But since the group was starting to become a cult everyone who was different was seen as a problem (Jacke refusing to say blessing during her final meal). Also just because he is grown up doesn't mean anything in a crisis because nobody is prepared for this. Without him they never would've learned to hunt. And I think him being an adult actually was more of a problem because he knows how fucked up this whole mess is and he can not easily just loose his morality and society norms.

Totally agree with you on Misty. Teenage Misty annoys the shit out of me, but I love adult Misty. Yes, she's a sociopath, but the way she fully embraces it is hilarious.
That's a really good point with Jackie because she didn't have any sort of concept of who she was! Like even their coach was trying to put her in a leadership role & it's like girl you don't have to be that if you don't want too!
Making the bottom category "I hope you pull the queen card" is hilarious lol. I've never seen you on tiktok, but now I need to go watch your other videos. Happy this one randomly came up on my feed
I’m an ardent believer that if Misty was popular, she’d probably still be the same, just more polished. I imagine something like Elle Fanning in The Girl from Plainville.
Way too many people are falling into the trap of favoring the leads because they are the leads. Tai broke her teammates leg so they would win a soccer game. Shauna was sleeping with her best friends boyfriend, and Lottie absolutely knew the influence she began to have on them after the crash. None of them would have made it thus far without the help and knowledge of Coach Ben. Did he make mistakes? Absolutely. Was he out shaking his titties at the moon in the name of The Wilderness and eating the team? No, that was your elite group. They all made mistakes. But everyone seems to dismiss the ladies simply because the writers gave them other likable traits.
I don't think Jackie was the worst I think her and Shauna both have their issues, but I definitely get some mean girl vibes from Jackie. She literally slutshamed Nat when they didn't have food even though that was equally Travis's fault and then she went and got with him
tbh shauna did some crappy things, and shes def not my favorite character, but i dont think i could ever hate her, no matter how annoying she gets. im def a Jackie lover for life
This made me say “the kids are gonna be alright” like an absolute cringer. Godly tier list, every single thing you said was incredibly based and well-articulated.
SHE'S INNOCENT KAITLYN ITS NOT HER FAULT. NAT DIED PROTECTING HER BECAUSE SHE SAW SO MUCH OF HER YOUNGER SELF IN LISA PLEEEEASE KAITLYN. (I swear idc that much)
I like Walter, but only through Misty. I like their relationship and I’m excited to see where it goes, even though I don’t really trust him yet either.
Jackie lost me when she wanted to leave Van to die without a thought. Then was going to say that the sanitizer or whatever was hers..."hey, that's mine" she was obviously about to say before realizing it was Van suggesting it. While coach Scott was bleeding out. Shauna is all kinds of messed up too, but Jackie is a pretty shit person.
my hottest take will forever be that misty is misunderstood and is so sweet. she just wants friends that value her. she does everything for them in hopes to earn their love but all they do is talk shit about her and call her crazy. the only one who didn’t do this (usually)was natalie. i think this is why she valued natalie the most out of any of the other girls. in the present timeline that is
I love Jackie AND I love Shauna, just like you. I think liking one shouldn't negate the other. They are both complexe characters and that's why they are so interesting. But to me, the argument that nobody forced Shauna to live in the shadows of Jackie also applies to Jackie. Nobody forced Jackie to sleep outside. Jackie told Shauna to go outside, she said no, you should go yourself if you can't be in my company and that's just what Jackie did. She went out by herself. Nobody forced her. Like nobody forced Shauna to not communicate her feelings to her best friend. Was Jackie feeling welcome in the cabin? Nope. I wouldn't either, but nobody forced her. Did Shauna felt that her opinion didn't matter when being with Jackie? Yes. But nobody forced her to bottle up her feelings. I just love that show and I love the cast. I also think that Ben deserves better. I put him in Respect. That guy lost his leg, got poisoned twice by Misty. Witness all the girls eating Jackie. Tried to be the voice of reason. Tought them how to survive (hunt). Made sure Travis and Nat were safe. I think he is a great character. Not my favourite, be still great. I do love François Arnaud (Paul) as an actor, but his character was indeed hogging the minutes, I agree.
HEAVY agree with ben going into “i hope you draw the queen card” that is a little boy in an adult man’s body and i’ve seen enough of those in real life
I was wondering why you only had 10k views bc this is a very popular show and rankings are fun but then you started ranking and then you started to explaining and I just had to pause and exit
I hope Akilah is the last survivor to survive the wilderness but at the same time I’d also like time to see how they would take her out. I’m sure I’d be very sad or gruesome :3
They said that the rules are that one can submit to being killed or run in the hunt... I think if she would draw the queen card she wouldn't choose to run 😢
i LOVED jackie in the beginning but when she was getting messy with Travis and nat I couldn’t defend her anymore. Honestly it was just kinda funny to see them talking about what normal teenagers back home were doing in the beginning of the episode, then having a basic teenage cat fight by the end lol
You seem to be low on the empathy scale high on the psycopathy scale ..a boy was murdered sacrficed and eaten ...id call that evil you by pass that for someones ..joke ...young people are in trouble you are so lost in your own bubble of sycophantic worship of the lastest trends or in this case drama ..when your barely know life and have no psychological training...wow
I dont think Jackie is a mean girl, but I find it hard to find a moment where she didnt act in self interest. She's also a kid so im not going to make any crazy character statements about her beyond thinking she's not the greatest person. I think she's pretty nice to misty tho
THANK you for putting ben at that ranking I’m so sick of the ben defenders. the man taught health class and did nothing to help shauna while she was giving birth 😭😭 and I get he lost his leg and that’s awful but he made almost no attempt to take on a leadership role even though he was the only adult there. I feel like his death would be so much more interesting for the plot and the girls’ character arcs than anything else they could do with his character (like somehow letting him survive and introducing him into the adult tl which would make NO sense)
We don't know if he taught Health Class or just was the Substitute? Also it was the 90s so like there is not a lot you learn about Birth and pregnancies in like society as a general. Also the whole time he tried to be the voice of reason and nobody listened to him. Thanks to him they learned how to hunt and survive.

Was he out shaking his titties at the moon in the name of The Wilderness and eating the team? No, that was your elite group. They all made mistakes. But everyone seems to dismiss the ladies simply because the writers gave them other likable traits.
subscribed so fast girl this is the content i live for
I don't think Jackie was the worst I think her and Shauna both have their issues, but I definitely get some mean girl vibes from Jackie. She literally slutshamed Nat when they didn't have food even though that was equally Travis's fault and then she went and got with him
Love this
cant waitt for season 3
YES 100% WITH JACKIE
tbh shauna did some crappy things, and shes def not my favorite character, but i dont think i could ever hate her, no matter how annoying she gets. im def a Jackie lover for life
This made me say “the kids are gonna be alright” like an absolute cringer. Godly tier list, every single thing you said was incredibly based and well-articulated.
diva you are funny asf!!! i loveee your tik toks and your yt channel is already a hit for me
Popping off just in time for season 3!
Misty, nat and tai are my top3😊
thank you so much for not bashing shauna. i love her so much even though shes messy ❤
Van at the top, Mari Lower sorry. She doesn’t do anything but stir the pot… literally ! She instigates fights when they should be working together.
Also hell no, Shauna hate club forever.
@@alexisbeattie595i hate shauna too in both timeslines
Adult misty is elite
So super normal about the side characters of the adult timeline (Skipped to the adult timeline to see where you ranked my girl Lisa)
SHE'S INNOCENT KAITLYN ITS NOT HER FAULT. NAT DIED PROTECTING HER BECAUSE SHE SAW SO MUCH OF HER YOUNGER SELF IN LISA PLEEEEASE KAITLYN. (I swear idc that much)
Everyone be quiet my show is on :)))
thank you for brining this to RUclips! You rock!
Hahah thanks for the support!
I like Walter, but only through Misty. I like their relationship and I’m excited to see where it goes, even though I don’t really trust him yet either.
I can't wait to see this season... Akilah 🎉
Taissa Turner is so underrated. She is literally a queen.
i am both a victim of shauna shipmans propaganda & under jackie’s spell so idc i love everyone
my hottest take will forever be that misty is misunderstood and is so sweet. she just wants friends that value her. she does everything for them in hopes to earn their love but all they do is talk shit about her and call her crazy. the only one who didn’t do this (usually)was natalie. i think this is why she valued natalie the most out of any of the other girls. in the present timeline that is
Yeah trying to drug and assault her coach is just her being sweet 😍
the way i saw a clip of this on my tiktok, and it is now the first thing on my youtube explore page. The algorithm’s are doing wonders for you
I love Jackie AND I love Shauna, just like you.
I love mari sm 😂
im sorry but i love walter
Oh my god wake up Kaitlyn posted on RUclips!
Bro I’m so happy someone else doesn’t like how to actress portrayed adult nat like I love the actress but I don’t like her portrayal of nat
Misty is my fave lol
Omg another Mari Truther!! I love a mean girl that’s funny
why does ben have shooters in these comments omg
i am a jessica roberts #1 fan!!
this is so fun omg
HEAVY agree with ben going into “i hope you draw the queen card” that is a little boy in an adult man’s body and i’ve seen enough of those in real life
Bro is onto nothing 🙏💀
@@greencheekconurestan5316 and on something…
He literally did nothing wrong?
I was wondering why you only had 10k views bc this is a very popular show and rankings are fun but then you started ranking and then you started to explaining and I just had to pause and exit
I hope Akilah is the last survivor to survive the wilderness but at the same time I’d also like time to see how they would take her out. I’m sure I’d be very sad or gruesome :3
They said that the rules are that one can submit to being killed or run in the hunt... I think if she would draw the queen card she wouldn't choose to run 😢
Ben had a fully developed frontal cortex. Sorry, sir that gives you an advantage
jackie is like... a concept of a good character lol
Oh I’m SUBBED now
Van and Misty way too high
i LOVED jackie in the beginning but when she was getting messy with Travis and nat I couldn’t defend her anymore. Honestly it was just kinda funny to see them talking about what normal teenagers back home were doing in the beginning of the episode, then having a basic teenage cat fight by the end lol
Jackie just did not want to die a virgin and there is like one option there. So I don't blame her xD
@ she coulda admitted her 🏳️🌈feelings🏳️🌈 to shauna but I digress
i love that ben was the only one in the bottom tier for like the whole video
Walter is an elite employee bffr
You seem to be low on the empathy scale high on the psycopathy scale ..a boy was murdered sacrficed and eaten ...id call that evil you by pass that for someones ..joke ...young people are in trouble you are so lost in your own bubble of sycophantic worship of the lastest trends or in this case drama ..when your barely know life and have no psychological training...wow
Where is Jonas from Dark????
i love mari
I dont think Jackie is a mean girl, but I find it hard to find a moment where she didnt act in self interest. She's also a kid so im not going to make any crazy character statements about her beyond thinking she's not the greatest person. I think she's pretty nice to misty tho
Here me out yall, Pit Girl happens in the adult timeline and it’s Callie😢
(Manifesting this so Mari doesn’t die🙏)
Mari,Gen and Crystal the iconic mean girls
crystal isnt mean?
@acailoves nah I see Mari like Regina vibes Gen as Gretchen anf Krystal is more a Karen vibes
@EmanuelHagberg-o8j mari and gen dont even like crystal 😭
@@acailoves EXACTLY
