Teen Nat deserves to be Elite, and Adult Shauna deserves a deep layer of hell. Melanie Lynskey does a fantastic job, the writing is fine, but as a human being… worst. The worst. U agree with you about Juliette Lewis too, I won’t miss adult Nat. I’m one of those people who rewatches for the wilderness part and skips the adult plotline. Zero shame.

Well in one of the trailers (the most recent one) she says, “you really are insane.” Now this could go a lot of different ways. If the person she’s talking to, and she is in fact a survivor, then she would know exactly how insane all the adult survivors are from their trauma, and her trauma. So that’s kind of a no. My feeling is she’s related to someone who may have been involved with the Yellowjackets. Maybe she’s Adams sister or Jessica’s friend or who knows. But I don’t think she’s a Yellowjacket. Just my two cents :).

Teen and Adult Misty are both elite employees to me. She is batshit insane and does so many psycho things so I get why you put her in “why do you do the things you do” but like. I’m sorry she is so fun to watch. Literally my favourite character. MVP of every episode to see what scheme she’s gonna come up with next.

I don't think Jackie was the worst I think her and Shauna both have their issues, but I definitely get some mean girl vibes from Jackie. She literally slutshamed Nat when they didn't have food even though that was equally Travis's fault and then she went and got with him

Jackie lost me when she wanted to leave Van to die without a thought. Then was going to say that the sanitizer or whatever was hers..."hey, that's mine" she was obviously about to say before realizing it was Van suggesting it. While coach Scott was bleeding out. Shauna is all kinds of messed up too, but Jackie is a pretty shit person.

Way too many people are falling into the trap of favoring the leads because they are the leads. Tai broke her teammates leg so they would win a soccer game. Shauna was sleeping with her best friends boyfriend, and Lottie absolutely knew the influence she began to have on them after the crash. None of them would have made it thus far without the help and knowledge of Coach Ben. Did he make mistakes? Absolutely. Was he out shaking his titties at the moon in the name of The Wilderness and eating the team? No, that was your elite group. They all made mistakes. But everyone seems to dismiss the ladies simply because the writers gave them other likable traits.

I’m an ardent believer that if Misty was popular, she’d probably still be the same, just more polished. I imagine something like Elle Fanning in The Girl from Plainville.

I think coach Ben is a very complex character, I do agree that he is an adult man, but he was out numbered, and also his depression increased, what was he supposed to do in the wilderness with one leg, and also cannibalistic teenage girls? He was just supposed to tell them to stop? They’d ice him out just like they did Jackie or kill him, I know they aren’t mature, but are you telling yourself that you as a grown person with ONE leg, actively try an intervene against 15+ girls who are athletic and have adapted to murder?

I love Jackie AND I love Shauna, just like you. I think liking one shouldn't negate the other. They are both complexe characters and that's why they are so interesting. But to me, the argument that nobody forced Shauna to live in the shadows of Jackie also applies to Jackie. Nobody forced Jackie to sleep outside. Jackie told Shauna to go outside, she said no, you should go yourself if you can't be in my company and that's just what Jackie did. She went out by herself. Nobody forced her. Like nobody forced Shauna to not communicate her feelings to her best friend. Was Jackie feeling welcome in the cabin? Nope. I wouldn't either, but nobody forced her. Did Shauna felt that her opinion didn't matter when being with Jackie? Yes. But nobody forced her to bottle up her feelings. I just love that show and I love the cast. I also think that Ben deserves better. I put him in Respect. That guy lost his leg, got poisoned twice by Misty. Witness all the girls eating Jackie. Tried to be the voice of reason. Tought them how to survive (hunt). Made sure Travis and Nat were safe. I think he is a great character. Not my favourite, be still great. I do love François Arnaud (Paul) as an actor, but his character was indeed hogging the minutes, I agree.

I never understood snyone who hates Jackie or think of her as a mean girl. The main mean girls are Van, Ty, Shauna, Lottie. Why is Jackie not a mean girl? #1 Jackie offered the last food she had to shauna. #2 shes considerate she remembered to bring Shauna medicine for the flight. #3 she gave her a beautiful gold necklace. Most of all any friend who is willing to starve themselves out to feed you is a friend that will give you their life.

Coach Avi and jackie are the only ones to get a pass ..the survivors of the Andes plane crash had to consume their teamates they did use evil or act like psychopaths in order to eat. I dont think Jackie is a mean girl, but I find it hard to find a moment where she didnt act in self interest. She's also a kid so im not going to make any crazy character statements about her beyond thinking she's not the greatest person. I think she's pretty nice to misty tho

We try to give Coach Ben some grace, I mean dude witnessed the soccer team he coaches eat someone 😭he just wants to be home with his man. We definitely see how Jackie is misunderstood, she was chosen as team captain for a reason, though arguably Taissa is better suited for that role. But Jackie’s ability to keep the team united is her strong suit. She knows how to lighten the mood even while stranded in the wilderness. Teen Taissa is elite and a badass! Misty is unhinged in every timeline, but gotta love Christina Ricci’s portrayal!!
