Wonderful video! Extremely well done! And a very awesome sounding wah pedal. That might be the very first Hotone Press pedal that I'm going to purchase soon. That would be the ... ummm ... 22nd Hotone pedal that I would own then. I simply love the discontinued Skyline pedals to pieces!
I have had over 5 Soul Press 2s, each developed audible scratchy potentiometers that could be heard in the sweep that sounded like static. Were the potentiometers used in this pedal the same, or has there been a different potentiometer used in the Wong Press?
Just to be clear, how does expression work when you're also using the pedal for volume/wah? Does it act as a volume/wah when the pedal is on and expression when the vol/wah function is turned off with the toe-down switch?
as I understand you have to set the pedal to volume only (or maybe also wah only) so once you disengage the volume (or wah) by hard pressing the toe switch, it will act as expression pedal. you can't use also expression when you're in wah+volume mode.
According to the Hotone site, the Wongpress has a different value curve for the volume/wah, which could be worth it to you if you're particular about the feel of wah/vol pedals.
That’s not the case. It would have been much easier to let Cory use the Soul Press II without creating an entirely new pedal. However, he needed specific changes beyond what the SPII could offer, which is why the Wong Press was born. The differences are quite significant for someone like Cory, and for many other players out there. You can check out all the details at: www.hotone.com/products/press/Wong-Press
I don’t know about this one but the Soul Press 2 (which looks the same) is not that great in terms of wha. Once you engage the wha the pedal boosts your signal clipping everything. So I hope they improved it.
Awesome! Hotone is an awesome brand!
Thanks for your kind words.

Thank you!
I've never heard someone talk more about something that we should just hear.
Very clever 👏

Does this address the spike in volume that the regular soul press 2 had?
it has a different volume curve, some like SP2, some like this one.
@@HotoneAudio cheers!

is this compatible with the Headrush MX5 ?
As long as the host uses EXP by TRS will work. Most of them do.
So is this just a rebranded soul press II?
Yeap
yeeeessssss the same S

@@HotoneAudio According to what you write, it is necessary you have to have a gifted ear (Mozart) or be Cory to hear the difference.
I imagine if I use it as an exp pedal I can't connect it also to do volume/wah, and vice versa right?
You can use them both independently. Check the details with our team at service@hotone.com
🔥🔥🔥🔥
😍😍
How is that different from the Soul Press II?
Same question !
check the product page. All differences are listed there.
Ok how do you control plug in parameters in your DAW? I did not see how it connects to computer, unless I missed it.
Like you would any other expression pedal midi controller. Its like any other movable hardware knob on a controller for your daw
correct

got mine today from Thomann...kinda disappointed because the Q knob just does nothing to my ear. Other than that is works and sound good.
Pretty awesome Mr Wong.
Could only be more useful if to you threw a tuner in there 😂
