Renaissance created a bridge for reformation and people started to keep aversion from Catholics and protestants gave them more freedom and secular tenats. And it also led end of papal denomination and the kings became free from the octopus of catholics

Just a minutiae: Calvin was French, not Scottish.
Presbyterianism, arguably, was anything but mellow when it came to the States. The Pilgrim's themselves were Calvinists (Non Conformists). The American Revolution was known across the Atlantic as "The Presbyterian Revolution." The initial major educational institutions were started by Presbyterians: Yale, Harvard, Princeton. Predestination as it was being argued at the time had nothing to do with vocation; not unrelated, but it wasn't the point. Rather, it had to do with the question "Who did Christ die for? And what are we to make of the verse that deal with 'election'". Luther and the Reformers are actually credited with recovering vocation during the Reformation; not every Christian had to enter ministry to be a "good Christian." Weber discusses this in "The Protestant Work Ethic". In fact, the reason why Prussia experienced the economic revolution it did was because of the surge of French Huguenots (Calvinists) who fled persecution.
Presbyterianism has "mellowed", but it has more to do with how diverse America had become and its founding principle of not establishing one denomination over another; as was the experience of Christians during the tumultuous era of the Reformation.
Great video! It's fun to talk about these things.
