@CaTheYowes I agree his delivery is a bit rapid at points, but I think M. Fummey conveys the drunken exuberance that is undoubtedly intended by Burns' extremely well. McClelland's delivery is rather safe, cosy and sober for my taste; vive la différence!

@CaTheYowes By all means go ahead and post--I've seen three male performances of Tam O'Shanter on youtube to date, and to my mind none have rendered the feminine voice as well as might be..."She told thee well thou wast a skellum/A blethering, blustering, drunken blellum" surely requires maximum fishwife. I imagine a cuff arriving around poor drunken Tam's ear on the word "blellum." ;-)
@cowgirlgaily1 grow up. who's 'white'?? not me. i may have skin pigmentation that people would call that, but too many people get on their high horses about the political correctness of skin colour, just like you did. remember that when Ali G asked the question 'is it cos i is black?' the reaction to him was one of trying not to be offensive. and he's not!! FYI, some of my friends are Chinese, Sikh and Muslim. i don't call them 'black' or 'brown' or 'yellow' and they don't call me 'white'.
