I had owned an Ambassador car for some years. It was a very good car. Even now I feel that the Company should bring out the same Amassador Car along with the new modern Ambassador Car. If the same old Ambassador Car comes, there will be more takers.
I am an ex employee from Hindustan Motors Limited Chennai and Hosur Plants. I purchased a 1992 Nova in 1998 and used it upto 2012. An excellent car. I cherish the wonderful years I owned it. If I am destined to buy another car, it will definitely be an Ambassador.
No need to be too much happy, old Ambassador car was of pure iron body car which was super strong and super durable, but new one will be of fibre body as all modern car. Only "Hindustan Motors" and "Ambassador" brand doesn't give us goosebumps !
I loved the old ambassador car. Spacious and comfortable. Could be easily repaired. I have travelled a lot in it . It was the King of the highway till the 1980s . The Maruti 800 was modern but cramped . The ambassador was sold in the UK in the late 90s and early 2000s and Britishers could buy an ' antique ' car brand new. HM changed the body of the car to operate in wet and humid weather. Other changes were also made. A new ISUZU engine was installed. The Ambassador classic with its retro look dashboard was great . I wish I could have bought it before production stopped. Love you , Amby .
Sure. My first vehicle was an Ambassador from 1990. Again I purchased a new Ambassador from CP showroom in 1993. Then I came to Maruti, Hyundai, Honda and Chevrolet. I don’t think Ambassador can compete with the new generation vehicles.

Depends on the technology, features, overall looks, interiors etc nd above all the price competition. If u r talking about 8 lakhs to 15 lakhs starting price, it could b difficult as in this price range there r many other tried nd tested cars in the already crowded market. To survive in this price range there has to b some justification to which the customer has to b satisfied about the value for money lest it goes 30/35 years back situation to survive.
This car is definitely king of all cars.If launched again it will again become Supreme.
