even regular dishes don't fair well in dishwashers over time. She did have boiling water in the plate, so it's likely to survive a dishwasher as it mostly uses boiling water to spray your dishes clean...

The bowl was smoking because of the super glue reacting to the tape not the ramen. Super glue causes exothermic reaction when in contact with fabrics or similar material. 5:38

Was it really super glue in the original video though? Some videos I saw said it was two part epoxy resin.
definitely super glue. epoxy would not work well for this as it does not "wick" the wicking nature of the CA and the wicking ability of the ramen is why the combo works.

You’re complaining about the gaps yet you didn’t sand paper the dry bits of noodles like in the original video.
It wasn't really a complaint. It was an acknowledgement that they didn't smooth it out as much as they could have. As they said, it was a proof of concept.

there is sodium in the noodles. and the glue reacts to bicarb soda witch is basically just sodium so when the glue comes in contact with the noodles it will let the co2 gas off

Ramen noodles are produced with a basic solution in the noodles themselves. So it makes sense that the glue would react with them if it reacts with baking soda.

I’m sure it’ll have to do directly with their project in order for them to show all that. I doubt they’d do a video on prop soldering and wiring just cause
