I’d like to add to this because I’ve been chasing down a no spark on my ski for some time now. My ski had a voltage drop because the started had resistance and was basically toast. But what caused this issues? the impeller was seized but there was still internal resistance inside the engine. So after removing the jet pump it still wouldn’t crank over freely so after opening up the engine the wrist pin bearing on the mag size was seized and the pistons wring on both pistons were completely stuck. I have the engine completely rebuilt and I’m now waiting on a new starter. I’ll keep ya’s updated.
Thank you for this !
Very quick and informative. Thank you for making this.

What if I have continuity between black and battery negative not an open loop. The first wire you checked
So if I am only getting spark on 1 plug you thing it's a bad stator?
