Nice video, Drew! I think I have a HM-2 packed away somewhere. I used to play my bass through it in the early 90’s. I’ll have to dig it out. I had no idea that it made a sound people cared about today.

That pedal has quite a following today and there are several modern metal bands that use the HM-2 sound regularly. Hang on to yours, you never know when you're going to need to break out the chainsaw!

Shame you didnt! Before the HM-2 Waza Craft came out there was such a demand for the original i saw them selling for nearly 400

Bro your deserve way too more views it's awesome. One question how do you run the Boss HM-2 (original) with 9v or 12v?

Thank you! In the video I ran it with 9v, had no idea old Boss pedals should be run with 12v, totally my mistake.

You better believe I got that HM300 on my behringer pb1000, I got mostly all the high Gain behringer pedals except the SM300 which I believe that's a clone of the boss hyper, definitely worth the 30 bucks or under for that pink box 😂 keep it brutal. Drew 😎🤟

they dont seem to get that "Swedish sound" unless both the color mix are right up at/near 10, you can kinda give and take with the distortion and level

I use the Behringer to get that Weezer Blue album tone, holds the power chords well and allows higher notes to breathe.

That's rad man. I'm sure it's great for Weezer songs.

Dude, that left hand wrath has so many knobs, was making my head spin. I have 3 HM-2 pedals, 2 Japan from 80s, and the Waza... HM-300 just for kicks. and the Hell Melter...I use the Waza in my band Novaya Zemlya... going to incorporate the Hell Melter in the mix with the Boss.
