Thank you! Especially the fat tip! I have been Carnivore for 13 months and I have lost... 65 pounds! I have healed my excema, joint pain, have crystal clear creativity and no brain fog! It is a thing! I have energy and I finally sleep well in evenings. I cut out the dairy and cheese early on because I was working on healing the inflammation in my body. I am hypothyroid, having been diagnosed with Graves and then had my thyroid radiated...I can't ever change that decision made in my younger years but I finally lost weight painlessly with this way of eating. I had the patience of Job as I went through the adaptation phase and my sole focus was to get well. I also underwent a discectomy surgery which along with the fear of developing diabetes (my family history) kept me motivated. When I upped my fat 4 weeks ago, I leaned out incredibly and I only walk. I don't work out and most people think that I am working out everyday. This way of eating is not for everyone but for me, I achieved incredible results for myself and I have no cravings anymore. I live in Greece with beautiful carbohydrate smells abounding everywhere...there are many corner bakeries! I can enjoy inhaling and viewing but I never feel temptation to "just once" try something. I think of how I feel now and it is not worth it to me to go back. PS. the sunlight also is a good tip, it does make a difference and I did not ever get sunburned this summer because of the carnivore diet. Anyhow, thank you for listening to my sharing. Your sharing and others supported my journey, Thank you again. Great video.

I started carnivore just 2 weeks ago and so far I have healed my bad chocolate eating habits. I am a 59y male German with 220p and acc. to my doctor's last checkup I seem to be pre-diabetes.
I am confident that both, my overweight and the diabetes will just wither away the more I am learning about the benefits of being carnivore.

What portion ratios do you use for protein and fats? The fat intake is a bit confusing to me. I’m not sure how much to eat of it.

    • @frogeater9030
      @frogeater9030 3 года назад +6

@@urshiharris9025 I eat 75% - 80% fat and 20% - 25% protein. My macro breakdown on a normal day is around 225-250 grams fat/115-130 grams protein. And that is around 2500-2700 calories (even though I really don't care about the calorie count). I'm 6'3"/230 lbs and do resistance training 5 days a week, so that is what works for me and makes me feel good.
My wife is 5'4"/130 lbs and also does training 5 days a week and her break down is 70% - 75% fat/25% protein/5% carbs since she is more keto. So 155 grams fat/125 grams protein/25 grams or less carbs a day. She is around 2000 calories a day, but doesn't really count them either. She just eats what makes her feel good too.
      Hope that helps!

My favorite food travel when I have a bit of time to prep are hard boiled eggs, and small meatballs. They are easy to eat cold and on the go. Red meat in general is best imo. Mutton and lamb are my favorite, and beef is a very close 2nd. Grassfed when available and affordable.

I agree about the simplicity . There’s nothing better than meat , salt and white pepper . AND butter .
I do better when I keep it simple .
While foods ground beef is the bomb too. I love it and it’s affordable .
As for hr electrolytes. Some days my body asks for it some days it doesn’t . I made the mistake of making sole water thinking that I needed it since so many people drink it and wow . I noticed my heart was racing and I felt so anxious .

Yup, eating fat to lose fat is so true. I had to reduce my fat intake just to stabilize my weight loss. Now I am good.
Friends around me eating a “balance diet” struggle with their weight. Me, eating bacon, fatty cut of meat and butter lost tons of weight (a few inches in my waistline).
But according to them, I am the weird one:(

      too recognisable...
Then again, we've all been there and believed that the official "perfect diet" as promoted by health authorities (through doctor, dietitians, media, food manufacturers, etc. etc.) is indeed just that, perfect.
When in fact it's anything but, and is decided upon not based on any medical (or biological) data but based purely on a combination of economics and ideological fervor.
The original food pyramid (or whatever it's called where you live) was created in order to push people to eat more grains after WW2. Grain had been a heavily subsidised crop in the US and UK during WW2 to feed the troops and rations for refugees.
After the war this led to a massive surplus as people went back to their regular diets which had a lot more meat and dairy in them. Something had to be done, that something was cobbling up a "perfect diet" made up of a LOT of grains and grain products, and getting it promoted heavily. This increased grain consumption in the general population enough that there was no more surplus.
Similar thing happened with dairy for a while.
Then the ideologists came in, the radical greens and vegetarians (now calling themselves vegans) (between which there always has been a lot of crossover), and things got really bad as these guys and gals are determined to get rid of all meat and dairy whatsoever.
About the only good thing they've come up with is declaring that "sugar is bad", reducing the amount of fruit advised radically. But that too has been done for the wrong reasons, the real reason being that the responsible people have massive financial interests in the artificial sweetener industry...

Another thing I would say that would help with liver consumption is to have it like a pâté-ground up very fine and smooth so it’s spreadable. Then you wouldn’t have to have that odd texture in your mouth at all. My grandma used to have liver pâté’ all the time as an appetizer, and it’s very good. (It’s also called liverwurst or braunschweiger.)

You are so right. Diet is very personal and Is not one size fits all. Stick to the basic tenets of the diet and customize it until you feel your best. You definitely look like you have found your best version of carnivore.

I'm going to make liver dumpling soup tomorrow. Instead of breadcrumbs, I'll use psyllium to bind the minced liver together, and the other ingredients are egg, garlic, salt, and pepper, make them into balls, and then drop them into a boiling broth.
    Oh yes, I'm drooling.

@@colinposner6574 do you rinse liver before grinding it up with the beef or how do you prepare liver. I hate liver so trying to find ways to stomach it. For me its the strong taste not so much the texture

The electrolytes are really on vital if you are fasting...where it helps suppress hunger...and if you have a heavy workload/workout schedule.
Not so essential if you are eating.

Being active and always have had energy i have always only needed 4-6 hours. They are even saying that now more sleep isnt as great as its been said. If i get 8 hours or more, im lethargic and get dull headache. I think getting less than say 4 hours consistently yes, not good. Great video and great help, thank you.

Hi Everyone, on a whim I recently tried a mixed patty of hamburger and lamb meat and was surprised at how it changed the texture (in a good way) and how delicious it is. I bought patties already blended at food lion but I think I will try mixing my own to control the ingredients.

Thanks for your time and all the tips! I'm finding it best to keep things simple by not overcomplicating the process. An animal-based way of eating is just that... thriving on real food like meat, fish, organs and maybe some eggs and dairy, if tolerated. Listen to your body and drink enough water. Not ready for liver, spleen, kidneys, thymus? Try high quality dessicated organs (capsules). What a big game-changer for me.
A lot of us will fail (hello 👋) long before our mind and body sync up. Some need to ease into it via keto/Ketovore for awhile; others can go all in cold turkey (pardon that pun). I'm still struggling to stick with carnivore. But, it's getting easier after years of searching for a better way to reverse chronic inflammation (RA) and insulin resistance (T2 diabetes).
Avoiding sugar, grains, legumes is hard for this former vegetarian. I am so grateful for Steak & Butter Gal and the SBG fam as we refuse to give up on ourselves and learn from the error of our old ways.

I would not drink San Pellegrino. Firstly it belongs to Nestle, and Nestle buys up water wells in Africa that used to be freely accessible, and the pour kids have to walk many miles to get water. I saw a report on TV. Besides, you will find information about arsenic in San Pellegrino in several languages. Apart from that, your video is lovely and super helpful, and your skin looks absolutely amazing and glowing. Thanks.
