Born Again deserves the same amount of recognition and credit that DKR receives.
Jon Osterman perhaps it doesn't because born again is part of Miller's run on Daredevil while DK is its own thing (i won't count in DK II & III or all star).I love Born Again, but Batman is Batman, and he gets a lot more love :/
DK II & III and All-Star does count even if we want it or not, but Frank's work on Daredevil is far superior to his Batman. Dc hired Frank to write DK because of his work on Daredevil.
In fairness, while it's in the regular run of Daredevil, Miller came back special for the story. He finished his entire 32ish issues. Denny O'Neil took over as a writer. Then, after that, he came back and wrote Born Again. It works well as a standalone story.
And Miller is the Dark Knight that Returned to Marvel Comics

I love that Tiff at the beginning said "He's stuck between being a Lawyer and a Chef" and later on in the story he does become a cook and no one brought attention to it.
Also this is a must read book, it's incredible.
Season 3 didn't end up being an adaptation of this story, but it took some inspiration and ended up being a great story in its own right
Sometimes I wish they got as darks and direct as the comic

It weird since is was on Netflix snd could have push as hard as the comic.
Can a blind person be a chef? Well, Christine Hà is the winner of Master Chef in 2012 and she's blind. Besides enhanced smell and taste, she can even arrange dishes more beautifully than other competitors just by touch. So yea Matt would be like a super chef.
I'm convinced Mazzucchelli studied Art History at some point because a lot of his work had illusions to famous pieces.

I came to quote that quote from the Spider-Man Animated Series. I wish there was a youtube video of just that quote (well, with the "pie eating contest" line just before it.
My favorite is "Sacrifices must be made." It's a simple line with such power depending on when he says it.

I don't know why I find Hal's "I don't give a shiiiiiiiiiiiit." So amusing, but I cannot stop laughing.
I just met Frank Miller in person last week, he came to Rosario ( Argentina). It was a blast, guy showed a whole other side to his personality. This episode could not come at a better time.

I think Born Again is totally the main arc for Daredevil season 3! If not in season 3 it will definitely come eventually before the series is over. Its a seminal Daredevil story. I bet they start the season with the Mother Maggie reveal as he recovers from "dying" in Defenders. I also cant wait to see what they do with Karen, I bet all the heroin/porn stuff has already happened in her already alluded to past.

Daredevil #227 is one of the 10 best comics I have *ever* read, and Born Again may be the greatest Daredevil story of all time.

Born Again is by far the best Marvel comic I’ve ever read, and even exceeds The Dark Knight Returns, because of the amount of realism, spiritual symbolism, and the amount of humanity this story delivers. It’s also a redemption story for Matt and Karen, while the Kingpin begins to lose his empire. Beautiful artwork, and narrative by Miller and Mazzucali.
The moment I saw Tiffany on the thumbnail I postponed everything else. When Tiffany's involved you know it's gonna be a good episode.

I purchased this book back in march 2015 when I was living on my own, I remember finishing it in one sitting. The book and the story made an impression on me at that time, to the point where I did not want to read it in parts, So glad to see you guy's are covering this on your channel!

I know in the 90's Spider-man, Kingpin says he only has 2% body fat, and that is entirely muscle, so I tend to assume that's just how he is, but I don't know.

I'd put Daredevil 181 right up there with the Born Again Saga as some of the greatest superhero comics ever. Frank Miller's first run 168-181 (158-167 he did the Art but didn't write) was one of the greatest runs in comics history, and then he topped it with the Born Again Saga. He topped his first run except for the last issue 181. That is as amazing as the Born Again Saga. The graphic novel starts with issue 227, but I would consider 226 as the prequel to the Born Again Saga. It is as good as the Dark Knight Returns.
