Huge fan of Scarpa boots. Have a pair of zodiac plus gtx that I’ve worn every day for four years at work. Held up really well so I got a second pair which seemed like plain common sense because of that for work boots. I recently got the guida this fall here so I’ll see how well they compare while I’m also wearing the zodiac plus gtx.
@ I didn’t know that. Thanks for the suggestion. When I originally looked at them Scarpa had it on their site but I do know a lot of websites say they have them but are limited in what sizes are available.
Had the Monaco's like that, not the regular ones. Got a deal on them on camofire. Never suited me. Heavier than they should've been and not supportive enough for me. Basically too hot with the gore-tex for office and field for my liking. Interestingly enough I just ordered the Guida City's a couple days ago. Hopefully they'll work for my feet. Scarpa Ribelle Lite are my newest mountain boot of choice and have been working great. Hope the Guida City will work for my everyday and light field needs - maybe even early season. Thank you for your review and opinions on them!
I wish I would've kept the last pair for a comparison, but it's consistent between the 2 for sure. I will say that the Crispi's are not as warm as these new scarpa's
Appreciate it. I blew through a pair of Scarpas years back in 6 months when both soles split on me, but maybe worth a check out again. I just finished eating through a pair of Salomon’s in 3 months, and agree with your assessment. Not worth it.
I don't wear the Thor's much, they're too Ridgid for everyday wear, and don't handle weight as well as the kenisis. But the scarpas in this video are my new go to. And will do a 6 month review here shortly.

@@patrickhankins2391 looks like they discontinued the guida, so if they work out get a second pair while you can

Thanks man, for the video. I’ve been looking for a pair of boots that had a little more staying power. Been burning through boots as of late

@@FatpackingSmitty I stopped with Salomon, but they do have a warranty, and will stand by it.
How did the Scarpa’s & Thor’s end up holding out??

Is it true to size though? I wore size 10.5.
Yeah, if you're in a colder climate and wear thick socks you could go 1/2 size up. But the sizing was perfect for me
