Armed and Dangerous, Summer Rental, Going Beserk, Splash, Brewsters Millions, Spaceballs, Planes Trains and Automobiles, The Great Outdoors, Uncle Buck, Whos Harry Crumb, Nothing But Trouble, Only The Lonely, Once Upon A Crime, Cool Runnings....There is a feeling you get that can't really be explained when you watch a John Candy movie. You just feel good inside. Even though some of his movies didn't do the best at the box office, they still are cult classics that I still enjoy to this day. I hope the younger generation can appreciate how great John Candy was
First time I ever seen a john candy movie I was 8ish and it was the great outdoors. I was camping at a campground and they had a movie night and we watched the movie on the projector
Me too. When celebrities die, it’s sad. But it has hurt hard when John Candy died. And when Christopher Reeves had his accident and later died. And when Robin Williams died.
After John died, all the stories about his generosity and friendship started coming out. John would never let anyone know about the good things he did for so many people. And I'm not talking about famous people, they were just ordinary common people like the kind Tiny refers to here. He had a heart of gold and was the most down to earth man the world has ever seen and funny as anyone. And I miss him deeply. Love you John.
R.I.P. John Candy. I was sad when he passed. I love all of his movies. Hell I use to watch Camp Candy every Saturday Morning before wrestling came on. Great comedian, great actor and great human being he was. It's great to hear stories and commentary on great legends.
When I was a child, I used to watch John Candy movies with my dad, God rest his soul. Armed and Dangerous was a movie that made my dad laugh so much. Me and my dad laughing on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I miss you Dad. And thanks, John. Thanks for the laughs big guy. ❤
I mean he gave a lady a ride home from the airport because she left on vacation with her family but forgot her son Kevin at home and all of the flights out were delayed or cancelled. Later he would reluctantly coach a group of unqualified Jamaicans to the Olympic Games using his skill and experience to bring them together as a close knit group who almost realized their dreams, all the while becoming like a father figure to the young men. That’s John Candy.
Let's not forget about the time he rescued a kidnapped heiress with the help of the heiress's sister while also using clever disguises and a black belt in aikido...... with the boots to match! That's John Candy.
I love John Candy I miss him everyday such a great actor and a wonderful human being, Zeus aka deebo you said it best John Candy was truly an angel. I remember watching John Candy's last film Canadian Bacon after the movie was over, I broke down it was a final farewell to a comedic legend John Candy. There will never be another John Candy. RIP John Candy gone but not forgotten.
One of my favorite actors of all time. John Candy was so funny and a real class act from what everybody who has ever has worked with him. I would hAve cherished any meeting with Mr Candy if that was ever possible. RIP John Candy. Steve Martin loved him so much he moved in with John's family to help them during the grieving process. He was loved by everyone who has ever worked with him. His kids both look like him and talk nothing more than how much they loved their dad.
That's the thing I love, about a celebrity. Is when you hear how awesome that person is or was coming from the actual person who worked with them. I've always admired john, but.. Hearing this only deepens my admiration for him. I truly miss him. RIP. John Candy.
Even to this day we're still discovering how incredible John Candy is. That's the thing about people like John, he left such a monumental impact on so many people that he will never *ever* be forgotten. God bless you John. I can't wait to shake your hand when I leave this world and meet you at the Pearly Gates. #RIPJohnCandy #ForeverInOurHearts
So glad to be part of era of John Candy. From 1941 to Blues Brothers, Stripes to. 1st Heavy Metal, as well as Harry Crumb & Uncle Buck, and the list goes on. He'll always be the unforgettable talent of comedy. RIP
In my opinion John Candy was the greatest of all time I was real sad when he died I was like 9 or 10 but I absolutely loved John Candy's movies he was the best R.I.P.
One of my favourite roles John Candy played was in the Disney film The Rescuers Down under when he did the voice of Wilbur, a great film that doesn't get shown often enough.
I try to be more like John Candy every day. He could bring a tear to a glass eye with his humility and his humanity. It came through in his films. I can't watch Uncle Buck or planes, trains and automobiles without tearing up. A true angel. If I'm blessed enough to get into heaven, I want to meet John Candy. I can picture him as the door man. What a lovely soul. Life is a journey. Let's ride it with love, my friends. No matter what you do, love each other.
John Candy was the greatest!! I miss him a lot! The world needs more of John Candy's. I am glad Lister can reflect on this and talk about how terrific he was.
Cool Interview. I loved John Candy when I was little & still do. My favorite movies of his were Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, & Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Also his cartoon Camp Candy. He also was good in The Blues Brothers & National Lampoon's Vacation even though they were smaller roles. Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr I also liked in the things I saw him in. May they both keep resting in peace & entertaining others up in Heaven.
I don't give a fuk. I loved John Candy's performances in Blues Bros., Uncle Buck, Spaceballs, Stripes, Brewsters Millions, Splash, Cool Runnings, Canadian Bacon, Summer Rental, The Great Outdoors, Plains Trains Automobiles, Rookie of the year, Delirious. Gotta Love Em.
Someone I know who did stunts in Martial Arts movies told me he met Tiny in person at a Planet Hollywood event once, he said he was super chill and very intelligent and down to earth, he also said he was deeply Christian and always talked about Jesus.
John Candy owned the Toronto Argonauts. That is so many Americans dream to be able to own a professional sports franchise especially if it's in your hometown.
If I'm not mistaken Armed and Dangerous was Meg Ryan's first role in a Hollywood movie.. Anyways Deebo/Zeus was and still is a favorite actor of mine. He always played the bad guy role so well and anyone who has met him has nothing but great things to say about him and that's a testament to his acting skills in my opinion. Loved all of John Candy's movies and especially Armed and Dangerous.
RIP Tiny Lister.....Hope John Candy is there to greet you in heaven
Hell is REAL. Repent of your sins and turn to God. He loves you. Believe in God's Son Jesus and you'll be saved. RUclips: 30 Days Touring HELL

I heard John Candy was a saint, Debo just confirmed this.

LOVED that movie! RIP John Candy and Tiny Lister.
He's right! we all should operate more like John Candy
Good interview
Rest In Peace Mr. Tiny Lister and Mr. John Candy
It’s interesting how Tom Lister talks about Candy as he does given their on screen characters were goading one another.
It makes me wonder how much of the Bruno character was in the script and if maybe Candy realized Lister's potential and told him to improvise.
Hope they are having all the time they need now. RIP
Uncle Buck
I remembered him first as Bruno before Zeus or Deebo.
I loved all his movie's.
Orange Whip?
Orange Whip?
Three Orange Whips!
If Tiny would’ve ever got to meet Elvis Presley, he would’ve got to see what giving to others less fortunate was really like!
John Candy was an incredible talent and human being. He is missed everyday.
