Loved these videos regarding dead batteries and the Ring smart charger. You speak a lot of sense regarding people been too eager to throw away and just replace not thinking of the impact on the environment. Big thunbs up from me

These videos were really helpful. I bright this unit over the weekend to charge a dead battery in my old Mercedes 260E. Selected the winter mode charge and after 4.5 hrs (it automatically went to recondition Rec mode after 3 hours), it seemed to be charging at 60%. At that stage it was starting to rain and bonnet was half open so I disconnected it. Will do it again during the week and balance it up to 100% and CCA test it. Battery was at 0% with 10v before I used charger.

bought one of those chargers for work.. 12 amp model and this even worked on a small 12v 20ah battery for a paint marking machine.. battery is probably 20 years old and was just crap.. hooked this charger to it and within a day of playing together the battery went from 10v back to 14v something with more than enough battery life to run the pump it was powering.. brill lil unit that is.. im going to try it on a large car battery that turns over our large mower as the alt on that died years ago so its always needing a charge before we start it..

Have you ever had a battery keep ticking over at 90% My AGM 70ah 760en battery has been on this charger for 40 hours and stays at the 90% mark and keeps dropping and then trickle amps and back to zero? never gets to a hundred or atleast does and then drops back after few seconds to 90%
I've taken it off charge and done all the test settings available from the manual and says its bang on good?

Perhaps that’s the max level the battery can take. A good indicator would be a CCA test to see how much cold cranking amps the battery is capable of producing.
Can happen to old or worn out batteries.

Mine is showing the flashing batter symbol but the bars not going up just flashing empty outline and if I select the repair mode it is not saying REC like yours does. Ideas anyone?

Flashing battery means no battery connected. The battery terminals may need a clean up.
