I believe your correct it was too expensive originally and Märklin concentrated on HO scale. Now with new innovations and a resurgence in the scale Märklin is expanding and investing heavily into the scale.
Why didn't Marklin join in the O gauge revival in recent years? I get it that they got out of it when O scale was in decline. Possibly the association with Goering, who was a big fan of Marklin O gauge, or is it the 1930's prototypes that go back to the Third Reich? They've allowed others to create knock offs of their old O gauge models; I don't get it why they don't do it themselves.
O-Gauge in the USA is strong however in European it is still really weak, this is do to the fact that 1-Gauge has taken over. Marklin produces HO, 1, N, Z and G-Gauge. With 5 gauges I thing that is enough for them to handle.
Wenn es regnet, sind Märklin 1 Gleise rostfrei? Quand il pleut, les rails Märklin 1 rouillent-ils? No oxydation problem because of rain on Märklin 1 tracks?
Excellent thanks.
Very nice Video, very nice Railway Models.
I am going 1-gauge!!!!!.
Why did Gauge 1 go downhill in the first place? When does the Marklin fall new items come out?

Can some explain to me what one gauge is like G-scale trains in the USA
gauge 1 is scale 1:32 and g-scale is about 1:22,5
You guys have all of my favorite gear trains, vintage motorcycles, bikes but I didn't see any guns or guitars.
giant trains
a locomotive is 2000 euro
too expensive
a simple circle of g scale track can be 100 or even 200
