Our Lord And Savior Serpentor technically it's märklin, but yes, they're really important to model railways. In fact, they had the first "system" because they realized the potential model railways could have. They were like doll houses, you got a starter set and you expanded by buying accesories for the set. (buildings, stations, switches, more trains, etc.)

Our Lord And Savior Serpentor is reccomend getting the starter sets first, which are aimed for begginers if you hope to get one.

Checked out the company that makes these trains and about had a cow. How about $2,000 for a locomotive?! Wish they or some other company (like Trumpeteer) would produce a model kit like the did with the WW 2 German stuff.

The manufacturers in China and Korea built US locomotives, which are sold by US importers like Key, Overland, PSC.....
