It is defintely a privilege seeing that there are people who genuinely care about classic trains. Model trains must be the uncoolest thing in existence, so anyone with such an (insert word that still doesn't exist) collection, truly appreciates it and doesn't do it for show. As much as I love N, HO and O scale layouts built to modern finescale standards, 1 Gauge (1/32th scale) is the one that doesn't lose detail. My childhood was during the 1960s in Germany and that's exactly how I remember the trains. I still rode and watched the last steamers in regular service. Also a huge fan of classic American Railroads. I spotted the iconic PRR K-4 immediately here.
Hi Reynaulds. I have just watched this for maybe the tenth time...it is inspirational and of great help in developing my tiny (in comparison) N scale layout. Thankyou so much to the owner of this magnificent collection in allowing you access to film and share it with us. In awe and appreciation, Cheers from Tony in New Zealand.
It's already amazing that these 1-Gauge locomotive are "Art-on-Wheels" and functions like a real working model train, but the fact the person HANDBUILT all of them not kit-build, scratch-build is already taking it to a whole new level. To me, that is scary, yet amazing!
Evan no you must of misunderstood or I was not clear. These models were handmade many various small manufacturers. The collector owns a small firm called Fine Art Models and his company also makes some of these models.
Holy Mackrel! That's unbelievable. Thanks for showing us this collection. It would be interesting to know more about who owns this collection, what do they do for a living, etc. Truly amazing....
That is awesome, it would be hard to have this collection in h0 let alone in gauge 1. Just imagine the hours it took to manufacture each locomotive! It is almost insane if you do the numbers in hours and dollars. Thanks for showing i am going back to my mass production ho models now lol.
I want one of those setups! i am wondering what controller he uses? I might have missed that if you stated it but the noise level in my house means its too much noise for me to hear all the audio. The forced isolation we are going through means we can work on our model trains.
Dear Maciej, that model was made by a small German manufacture called Pein. Today if you want one we can have one specially made but it is very expensive.
@@ReynauldsEuroImports I can imagine it cost fortune. It's hand made right? How much you recon? Do you know edition limit quantity or they build it pre-order only?
Absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for sharing!!! My only suggestion would be to do your panning and camera movement a bit slower. It is tough to watch in Full Screen at times.
Geoff A I agree but I was so excited and overwhelmed. Actually the owner was a bit nervous that I was filming so I tried to be quick and discreet. I was the only person ever to film this collection so this might be the one and only video ever!!
ReynauldsEuroImports I could sense the excitement in your voice, and it was refreshing to hear some honest emotion displayed in the video. My comment was in no way intended to denigrate your efforts in sharing this remarkable collection, it is most appreciated. Just keep the camera movements in mind next time you film. It is also possible sometimes to edit out those segments of rapid movement with some kind of transition going from one scene to another. A great video, and thanks once again for making it possible for us to see this incredible collection, layout and facility.
Wonder why the owner didn't offer to run an engine or two for him to film ? Just curious, thats all. An astounding collection though of course ! Thank you for your efforts Reynaulds.
would you like to watch me make brass models in this size? there are 15 videos of the construction of a Kitson -Meyer, and currently the construction of a Garratt from South Australia (in polished brass) Also a Video about the technology I use. (“Basics”)
This really depends. Do you want a regular production model or a special handmade model? Best this to do is to communicate via e-mail, send reply to info@reynaulds.com
Beeindruckende Sammlung, hätte ein schöner Film werden können aber leider ist die Kameraführung grottenschlecht. Nur hin und her und hoch und runter. Schade.
Egor this is a private collection in a home in Germany. I was only allowed to film a small part of the collection. The collection is 5 times large then what you see in the video.
Greg Wade Strange we tried the video on several computers and we get sound, use your speaker balance control and switch the balance from left to right, Let me know of that helps?
ReynauldsEuroImports Thanks for the reply. This happened again on an unrelated video and so I plugged some headphones directly into the computer and found the problem- for the first couple of minutes the voice only plays through the one side of the headphones, where as the music and everything else plays through both ear buds. A few minutes in, the voice is restored to stereo. The only thing I can think is that my sound system must be muting the one channel. Edit* reading through your above replies again I see you addressed the balance issue. I must have missed that last time.
@@ReynauldsEuroImports Whats the difference between 1,2, and 3 gauge I have only heard of 2,3 and american OO which is also an odd gauge since a few days ago, when someone I subscribe to got an unusual loco from the 1940s off ebay that won't fit on HO or S gauge track!

These are not models but works of art !

Yes, there are many collectors and enthusiasts all over the world. In Europe, model railroading is still very popular.
It was a privilege to view this museum-quality collection. Very inspiring, and reignited my interest in the hobby.
This man keeps All his boxes for sure.
ABSOLUTAMENTE FANTÁSTICO!!!!!!!!
Gracias por compartir.

Works of art - A whole new world for me as we usually look at HO and O - Thank you for this film
The quality of the trains, layout and the video are all excellent, thanks for sharing,
Train's everywhere. Really cool. Thanks for the video.
My Lord, absolutely stunning!
This is the most beautiful collection of trains and layout I have ever seen., Money can't buy this!!!!!
Rey, that must have been one of your all time favorite trips..wow, in one word...AWESOME!
Next time I'm in Chicago, I'm stopping in. Cool videos, great locomotives.

When i saw the BR 18 206 i was almost in tears
Absolutely incredible. I would have been speechless.
OMG that Gauge 2 310 is my dream locomotive.

and that beautiful AD60 Garrett from NSWGR
WOW and I really mean WOW
I've estimated, you probably said "wow", "beautiful" (and it's synonyms) about 60 times each
It was overwhelming to say the least, there were over 1000 1-Gauge loco's on display much of which I was not allowed to record.
I normally don't care about foreign Trains, live in USA but WOW absolutely WOW. Encore Encore.
Predivno!!

Even a circle of track is expensive in 1 scale unless you go RC with plastic track

That is the fate of thise models belonging to older collectors they keep their engines on shelves to avoid signs of use.
Lucky Duck !!
Does he have a german BR65?
2- and 3 gauge must be very obscure since what I could fin d on it is vague...

could you guess to as how many locomotives he has in his beautiful collection?
Too many to count, I was only allowed to film a few rooms. He has about 3 thousand 1-Gauge locomotives, scary right??
@@ReynauldsEuroImports I just want to know how he managed to purchase all of them, considering that a loco in 1 scale is around 5000 euros.
18:34 in the video can you please tell me what type of br engine that is with the dual tenders
It looks like a BR 01.10 with two tenders
That could be a Kiss 01 1066
It's Worth a better filming ... but thanks for the outcome.
Who is manufacture of BR94 and BR57 ?
These models were made by Schönlau which is no longer in business. Very expensive models which sell for around15 thousand dollars.
Please can I go to work for this gentleman's company? I live in Britain
Hi, where can i visit this collection ?

Beautiful collection , I bild the 64 and the 23 in 1 meter long
Gosh atw those models small, I prefer 1:1 scale or at least 1:10.
I hope he runs a lot of them instead of having them just sit
HI great vid but still don't get any talking sound, just the music.

ReynauldsEuroImports it finale worked after the intro was done. don't know why it does that, but all your vids do that.
Greg Wade I get the same problem
Strange we tried it on several PC's and had no issues, also we have nearly 1700 views and only had two complaints, maybe it is a setting
