I had the greatest walk with you, although I can't walk...you carried me, with your love and enthusiasm for what you do, and where you are basically from. I thank you so very much and I shall join you again!💗⚘
You were an absolute pleasure lovely
Thank you for this wonderful comment
Sinead
Privaliged to have grown up nearby from April 1944 till mid 1967, a crazy time from 1960 till I left mid 1967.
How jealous am I ?
What an incredible time to be alive in London
Sinead
I loved this video. Sinead, it would be so awesome to tour the charity shops, like you did with the vintage stores.
That sounds like a great idea
Want to bring you guys to my favourite car boot / flea market
One for the future
Sinead
GREAT POST....I worked down the Kings Rd when I was 17.....1978/79..till 82..wonderful village atmosphere..with punk's..actor's actresses.. if you were ANYBODY...you had to be down there
Sadly those great days are gone. The Kings Road has lost a lot of what once made it famous.
I am actually beyond jealous how amazing it must have been to witness it back then
Sinead
@FreeToursbyFootLondon thank you for your message...it was wonderful...amazing...the buzz was awesome...and at the same time magical......ahhh!!!!!!!...Those were the day's....and characters..... when Every day was like a child opening another wrapped Christmas surprise.

Me husband and myself love walking down the Kings rd. looking at the shops and the nice cars. We always end up in Fulham where my grandparent’s lived. And I did when I was a baby. Vivienne Westwood designed stage cloths for Queen.
Sounds like a great way to spend a few hours, Alison!
Savage video Sinead as always, in London at the end of the month love to do a tour with you :)

Next Year, I am planning a month long tour to London and I am too excited for it.
We hope to see you when you visit!
Great tour im a huge pistols fan.
Glad you liked it, Mark!
@@FreeToursbyFootLondon yes its really good respect is world end still there ?
My friend and I visited the Saatchi Gallery last year for the Bob Marley 'One Love' Experience (it was great!) We had lunch in some posh place, spent 3 hours in the gallery, then ventured back out looking for more food! Peter Jones were charging £9 for a sandwich, so we went on our way hoping to find a chip shop, haha! No luck, we headed home and got our chips there! Just a tale of two old SW London girls who love reggae. Loved your tour by the way!
Sounds like a lovely day you had! Glad you enjoyed the tour :)
What a great video Sinead. I wish we had more time while we were there . Not enough hours in our days .
Hope you are well ❤ How was your Hot Sauce lol
All our love. Larry and Alisa
The pub at the end is the Chelsea Potters, very famous. It’s believed the Great train robbery was planned there.
I read that it was raided by the police in 1968 looking for Bruce Reynolds who is said to have returned there after being in the run for 5 years
Thanks for watching
Sinead

Such a fun glimpse at a very posh and exciting neighborhood. It feels more residential and authentic than Knightsbridge does now -and much less touristy. Thank you for the historical information- the rock and roll connection is right up your alley! ❤
A good and accurate description, Robert! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Happy 113k Subs
Thank you lovely
I grew up on the Kings Rd, in World’s End close to Vivienne Westwood etc………was interested to note that the commentator was completely oblivious to the fact that on the same corner is the Moravian Close once part of Sir Thomas Moore’s estate and now a 500yr old garden/cemetery. My parents had a studio in there with the glazed ceiling framed by 500yr old ship timbers. My folks now sadly departed lived in Chelsea all their lives and long before the money arrived and ruined everything. They were known locally as ‘the last of the bohemians ……’ Happy days.
Thanks for sharing, Richard! Great history.
I love pimlico and chelsea
Me too soo hip
Sinead
Love the history Kings Rd , l've seen the place where King Henry the 6th lived not too far from there.
Glad that you enjoyed the video. If you haven't done so already, you can hopefully check out our back catalogue of virtual London tours ruclips.net/user/FreeToursbyFootLondonvideos. There is more where this came from.
A slight gaff Sinead, it's Register Office not Registry Office, the place where the Registrar registers all the hatches, matches and despatches in the Borough. A Registry is the actual book they were once recorded in before computers. The books were sent to the Central Register Office every three months on the Quarter Days of the year.
Thank you for this Tony very valuable information
Sinead
I was there in 76 wen punk was born I was a friend of Steve Jones I was at the sex pistols early gigs I remember when John Lydon joined he was seen skulking around the shop Malcolm loved his I hate pink flloyd t shirt and that was it very happy days

I am beyond jealous
Sinead
Im a huge pistols fan and collector, met glen and john, seen them 6 times live great that you were close friends with steve kind regards.
You people are too cool
Would love to have seen The Pistols
Any of you see the Vicious White Kids gig in The Electric Ballroom ?
@@FreeToursbyFootLondon just lucky I guess being in the right place at the right time no one knew the pistols and punk in general would take off it wasn't meant to be a fashion or even a genre as such it was bored kids saying this our time now to hell with everything let's just bloody well enjoy it as best we can
❤

hey sinead London England me and my mum we are going to two weeks in countryside Oxford England and in east London

Do food vendors like in Sloane Square, take credit cards or are they cash only?
Most do cards are widely accepted everywhere now
Sinead
I'm wondering if this was the neighborhood in which Twiggy became famous?
I believe so this and Carnaby Street
Sinead
My goodness your lipstick’s so red
Well spotted.
Chelsea is an expensive area
100%!
Not a patch on how it looked in the 60s. Very much like every high street now ...boring
A few people in the comments have said the same, Lesley!
@FreeToursbyFootLondon obviously true then ....when you put in kings Rd youtube 1960s just wow 👌
