Join Free Tours By Foot on a walk through time as Sinead takes you along the historic King's Road. Originally a highway for royalty, this affluent neighbourhood would later play host to the birth of the swinging 60's and the punk movement. You'll start in Sloane Square before exploring the charming Duke of York farmers market, finding hidden gardens, and catching a glimpse of some luxury cars. Find out what item of clothing Mary Quant is famous for, where Vivienne Westwood's Boutique is, and catch a glimpse of the incredible Saatchi Gallery.
You'll learn where and how the Sex Pistols were formed, see where King Charles II's Mistress Nell Gwynne used to live, learn where the World's End is, and visit the real Chelsea Drugstore, made famous by the Rolling Stones! For the best in London history and the story of London's rock and roll scene, join Sinead on a walk along one of the most iconic streets in London.

We had lunch in some posh place, spent 3 hours in the gallery, then ventured back out looking for more food! Peter Jones were charging £9 for a sandwich, so we went on our way hoping to find a chip shop, haha! No luck, we headed home and got our chips there! I grew up on the Kings Rd, in World’s End close to Vivienne Westwood etc………was interested to note that the commentator was completely oblivious to the fact that on the same corner is the Moravian Close once part of Sir Thomas Moore’s estate and now a 500yr old garden/cemetery. My parents had a studio in there with the glazed ceiling framed by 500yr old ship timbers. My folks now sadly departed lived in Chelsea all their lives and long before the money arrived and ruined everything. They were known locally as ‘the last of the bohemians ……’ Happy days.
