- The DCF 860 can beat any impact out there for impact-driving applications. However, leave the big lags for the 892 and the bigger lags for the 961!
I think the power is great and all, but people are comparing the wrong tools. I will never use an impact driver to drive screws bigger than 4 or 5 inches. If I’m driving long skinny screws I’m gonna use a regular drill because it’s much faster. If I’m driving long thick screws, I’m gonna be using a mid torque impact with a socket. I’ve snapped plenty of adapters on a 1/4” impact and it’s not worth wearing out the tool because I don’t believe it’s designed for that anyways. Thanks for the video tho, I can’t wait to try out the new drill
Like you said in the video! I agree with you haha
That 860 is sick!! And hearing the 961 go into vtec never gets old
Never liked how the 845 sounded but it perfroms amazing man. It's smooth and fast. The ipm reslly makes a difference when installing fasteners. I do metal buildings and the Milwaukee guys heats up because sure its strong but if its taking a strong impact besting all day its going get hot the DeWalt uses less power but more impacts and keeps it cooler. Depends what your using it for. But for mechanic work or bolts you'll want power or impacts
Sounds like your a LINEMAN
Commercial Inside Wireman. I'm working at a Naval Air Station right now.
It only seems to cut out with the 5ah power stack. Torque Test Channel mentioned that it didn’t cut out with other DeWALT batteries.
Also, best performance for this impact is with the 6ah XR battery
I'll try it with the 9AH Flexvolt tomorrow
The 860 has more TQ in REVERSE
It has never cut out on me with the 5 AMP POWER STACK
You are loosing tq with the long EXTENSION on the 860
Eric, I'll get more 1/4" adapters, I broke my spare.
The own the 850 and 845, I prefer the 850 all day every day. They both run hot, but the 845 hasn't broke on me like my 850 did....
The issue I had with the 845 is one paper is should be able to keep up with the m18 3.5. But it can't. It has higher numbers than the 840, but the 840 beats it still half the time.
How comfortable is the 860 vs the 845 and the 850?
The 860 is levels above the 845. I went from having the 887 to the 845 and it wasn't that big of a difference. Once I got the 860, I could instantly tell it was Dewalts best impact, in every area.
I’m curious what are you using those big lags for on your job sites ?
I don't use those, this is just a tool comparison.
@@ChristianElectrician I gotcha….i build decks and I don’t even use lags that big 😂. It’s usually 4-6” ledger lock screws
The numbers don't make sense. Where's the order?
I tested the new DCF against previous dewalt impact drivers and against the best dewalt mid torque and high torque. Hopefully that clears it up for you. Thanks for viewing and Happy 4th.
