    Thanks so much for your thoughtful insights! It's so cool that you got to get up close and personal with the new products. I upgraded to the iPad Pro 13" and the Apple Pencil Pro and I'm SO excited. Thanks so much for sharing your hands-on knowledge with us!

    Thanks for the update! I still have my original iPad pro and apple pencil from when they launched (I bought it with money from my very first paycheck in my first adult job!) but I'm thinking about an upgrade to the iPad air and pencil pro.

    If you ever want to make a video on drawing in 3d, to utilize the barrel roll the way they did with the street cone……I would love to put in a request for that. Is Procreate going to be exactly the same on the new Air? I read that it may not have as many layers as the pro. I currently have the Pro and wanted to upgrade to a 13-inch screen. I only use my iPad to draw on Procreate. Please advise

    • @Cooner-ToonRaccoon

      Layers in Procreate depend on RAM. From what I can tell, the iPad Airs and the iPad Pros with 256/512 storage will all come with 8GB RAM; the 1TB/2TB iPad Pros will come with 16GB RAM. Procreate might introduce more efficient layer storage someday, but hardware-wise the Airs and the baseline Pros should be comparable, but the higher-end Pros will give a huge layers boost. Hope this helps!

      It should have as many layers as the current M2 iPad Pro 256 or 512 model. I am cited to see what Procreate does. The iPad Air is a great buy!

    I’m super curious on how the nano-texture feels. I love using a matte screen protector. I’m definitely torn on either to get a standard glass and get a matte protector or go for a nano-texture.

    • @BardotBrush
      @BardotBrush  5 месяцев назад

      The Nano-Texture feels a lot like a matte glass screen protector! It is not textured (a la PaperLike screen protectors). I really enjoy the feel of the Nano-Texture. I'm putting together a video about Nano-Texture with some in-depth tests. Stay tuned!

    Which one would you recommend to artists? I've seen people say that you don't need that much power to illustrate. And a lot of professional artists are saying if you're not going to be like using intense apps for video editing, you should just go with the air. Because if you want like the good Ram and all of that you have to get the 1 TB version and after buying like the apple pencil and if you want cellular it's going to be close to $3,000.

      @@BardotBrush thank you. I think I will go with the air. I don't want to spend that much money for the pro because it's a bit too much. And 13 in isn't that big since I work on display tablets. I would like at least a 16-in iPad in the future. So if that would ever come out then I would drop that kind of money. But until we get a bigger iPad I'll just go with the air to save money. Screen sizes everything to me because if I want to replace my setup with an iPad I would at least need 15 in to work in 3D programs and stuff. Because a lot of apps they make the screen even smaller with all the stuff in the background

    Interesting. So if someone wants a paperlike texture as well as the nano texture glass, can they even apply a screen protector to that special glass or will it damage it?

    • @BardotBrush
      @BardotBrush  5 месяцев назад

      I wouldn't put a screen protector on the Nano-Textured glass. I don't feel like it would adhere well and you might run into issues with fuzzy graphics due to the competing textures of the glass and screen protector. If you prefer a paper-like texture, I'd probably go without the nano-texture and add the screen protector.

    Thank you! Do you still need a screen protector with the nano texture screen?

    • @BardotBrush
      @BardotBrush  5 месяцев назад +3

      I'm doing some tests on that soon, but my initial reaction is no, I wouldn't put a screen protector on the Nano-Textured glass. I don't feel like it would adhere well and you might run into issues with fuzzy graphics due to the competing textures of the glass and screen protector. The Nano-textured glass has a matte finish and the pencil glides across more smoothly than the naked glass, which I what I prefer for drawing anyway.

      I already saw videos of what it looked like and it makes everything look. Duller. So if you put a screen protector over top of that it will make it look twice as dull

    • @dianekoziol7832

    The big issue I have is I can’t use desktop apps like photoshop. Also the cost has gone up considerable. The windows tablets with pen I can..

    • @williammclean6594
      @williammclean6594 5 месяцев назад

      People have been asking for that for 10 years. Apple is never going to put Mac iOS on iPad. If you want to use the desktop versions, you're going to have to buy a MacBook. If you want more powerful like applications, that's the software developers problem that they don't want to make their apps identical to the desktop version. For example, clip studio paints app is exactly the same on iPad or desktop. Photoshop would have to make their app identical which they can because it's just as powerful the iPad. But I don't think they will because there's a lot of low quality iPads. The entry level iPads wouldn't be able to run them without crashing. Clip studio is optimized to run on everything. Basically Photoshop would have to do the same.
