I do think that the decision to reduce secret packs from 15 to 10 is starting to backfire. It was a logical move to bring down the power level, but it feels like there have been a lot of decks that would’ve been playable with another 5 pulls. Vendreads and Deskbots were both so close this week.
we do have to consider the cost element. IDK how it works exactly, but i think dzeef pays for all the pays so that's 30 MPs and 30 SPs every week. hmm now that i think about it it was 30 MPs and 30 SPs last time too but 15/15 each instead of 10/10 each XD
It's probably not cost, since Doug would be able to write these off of his income as a work expense (at least partially). But if pack openings are too long it can affect retention which in turn affects his algorithm. There are probably other reasons for it, just that cost very likely isn't one of them.

Wanted to throw out a banlist suggestion, since the power level has felt off this season. I think it would be interesting for players get get 1 "grudge ban" against any deck they lose against at the end of each episode. They can ban any 1 card that was played in the deck that beat them that week, and these bans last until the player who issued the ban defeats the player whose card they banned. This means that when a deck goes 2-0 in a week, two cards will be banned from it temporarily, likely forcing the player to choose a new strategy next week. Should that player goes 0-2 next week, all begrudged cards will be removed from the banlist, allowing them to play the deck that was strong enough to go 2-0 the prior week once more. If they go 1-1, they would get 1 card back, and 1 new ban on their current deck, and if they someone go 2-0 again they will be forced to make another deck once more. If a player had multiple grudge bans by one other player, losing to that player will still remove all bans against them. I think this makes oppressive decks feel less bad to both play against and watch while still allowing players to use those oppressive decks multiple times per week before the real banlist. It also allows players who go 0-2 to comeback, while not punishing the total collection of the 2-0 players (winning is better in the long run, but winning will make the short term harder to win). Grudge bans probably shouldn't apply to the last episode, but it would be up to your guys if you want to remove them every banlist episode or do whatever.

if doug had a set card he wants gage to pop (waking) why would he set the winfd up trap he can't activate like ???
Gage basically pulled a Yusei, a bunch of cards basically at the bottom of the barrel or thrown out and manages to win with it regardless
Gods. That 2nd game hurt. He Had Game and misplayed HARD. MBT Better roast him in the reaction for Missing Game
what do you say about the tcg banlist? 80% of all decks would be hittet
Serious question...Why didn't Nhym use Brute Enforcer to out Fog Blade? Am I missing something? Does Fog Blade destroy the monster it's attached to?
If it is not 100% chance, it is 50%. Thats a rule with every %.
Did you know that zenmaines can be material for astraloud.
The Altergeist support is coming to MD in a few hours, I wonder if Dzeff is going to give them a try.
