Well said,.....was amazed at the 'rock cut ampitheatre"...at @7;34mark. My theory?....GEB of Egypt(Gibil. Sumer)....made this as a new temple style, display area. He made diff types ...and just over Red Sea,is Lalibela,Ethiopia @Rock Cut "Churches". the builders,and boat bldr merchants...however, were the @Phonecians, their Alphabeta....the very basis for early greek,and far easier than Akkadian cunieform symbols,or Heiroglyphs. (ie....these old greco-romano column temples, were once Phonecian. Taken over and hidden to us by the greeks.....and blamed on a "Romanian Tribe~roman empire") # Notice Grec-romano.....Byzantine era paint over artwork? Grape vines ,and babies,and birds..points to Bachus....roman wine god? at 5;31 min mark. ## St george church ,Lalibela is incredible too. But its in a square cross shape,hewn vertically DOWNWARDS . A moat and water supply?...A house that keeps all the lions and jackals and elephants out?????...hehehehe.......well worth a look. @ Gibils Sumerian Seal (images)....it actually depicts a man slashing 'mountains with knives". @ GEB....his pre-dynastic ,pre 3000BC,Egypt name......"cackling goose',from his loud laugh, is why his image is the duck on head.....LOLOLOLOL..... * when AMUN came back to rule....i'd geuss Geb "mined/quarried/gem,gold fossicked elsewhere"....and used all this quarried rock to make blocks ....for all their buildings.
Eh? #1. The Nabataeans built Petra. #2. The architectural style is distinctly Hellenic Greek, which has spread to basically everywhere through the Greeks themselves and later the Romans after they conquered and annexed Greece into the republic.

Petra is nothing as compared to Indian Ellora and Ajanta. There seem to be some similarity with Ajanta which are essentially Buddhist monasteries.

PETRA is the Greek word for Stone. The whole city is in Greek style. Yet no One relate PETRA with the Greek wold after Alexander. WHY.?
