You really can't look at these guys and say, "Same old Lions." This really was their best season in 32 years. I'm not even a Lions fan, but I have no problem giving them their flowers.

In the Super Bowl era, this was literally the second ever season we’ve won not just 1 playoff game, but 2. And we also almost went to the Super Bowl, if it wasn’t for a historic second half collapse… still almost made it. Best season ever baby

@Amurica4 Back when Tom Landry was the coach, I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be an honor, and it came down to two teams, the Cowboys or the Steelers. The Steelers declined, so the Cowboys got the title. Back then, being America's team was supposed to be something to be proud of. Now, it's just a joke for the whole world to use whenever the Cowboys lose.
Even my Bears have been twice this century ffs.

As a 40 year Lions fan that loss to the 49ers REALLY hurt mostly because I spent more than half that game thinking they were FINALLY going to the Super Bowl.
I honestly didn’t even fully care if they won the Super Bowl, I just wanted them to FINALLY get there.
It was a great season though, I’ll never forget it.
The Lions fan wanting to wear a new jersey at the end is so ironic because the Lions are actually getting new jerseys next year 😅

As a lions fan.. watching our team go from zero to hero is amazing… the drafts, the coach, the coordinators… I feel blessed. You got every emotion right. My wife and kiddos started feeling why this season was special… the wife especially is a convert. Thank you mcdc, thank you sun god, and thank you Grossi for getting our feelings.

If the first Reynolds drop was the stagger shot, that Aiyuk catch was the knockout blow. That was beyond ridiculous
Agree on both fronts. That catch Aiyuk made was a back breaker. And so was that drop. Both.
People keep acting like that would have been an interception otherwise, when it actually would have been defensive pass interference otherwise.

You can call me a loser or whatever, but I was at the watch party at Ford Field during the NFC Champ game.
For one half of football, I was jumping, hugging my fiancée, hugging my best friend, high fiving strangers.
For one half of football, my team was going to the super bowl.
Regardless of how it ended, that half of football was euphoric, and I will never forget the happiest I've ever been while cheering for this team.
Thank you Sheila, Brad, Dan, and everyone in the Lions org for giving me the most fun season I've ever had watching football.
And thank you Tom Grossi for not taking this video as an easy cheap shot to Lions fans. I appreciate that your videos have been fair and entertaining and it truly felt good to see division rivals give us this season and let us enjoy it without shi**ing on us too much. We needed this.

As a Niners fan, keep your head up. Those Lions are *stacked* and I see genuine reason for the rest of the NFC North, including the Packers, to be scared of them. After all, if the Lions came within five yards of knocking off the 1-seeded Niners then they are truly a force to be reckoned with. And I’m gonna start watching Lions games, because they’re now my secondary team.
I wouldn't ever think about calling you a loser because those moments were just as euphoric for me. We're running it back next year. We just need to get to the playoffs and see what happens, and I garuntee nobody is going to feel safe seeing the lions as their opponent next seasonñ

Bears will be dangerous next season. Hopefully the new OC can properly use Fields. I feel like that dude has a crazy amount of skill and potential but right now his growth is being stunted by the organization. Would be nice to see that change this coming season. I want the NFC North to be the deadliest division in the NFL and I want all our games in division to be all-time classics match after match.
@@SirRob24 That would be a double edged sword. Yeah, having four teams that can take out any of the remaining 28 is a huge flex in and of itself. But then we beat the living 💩 out of each other to win the 1 seed, which turns into three or four playoff teams with no gas left in the tank

The one thing I have been shocked (in a good way) by is how nice the 49ers fans (that I have seen) have been to us. It is nice to see and I am thankful for it.
None of us wanted to be the ones who ended the feelgood story of the season, it's just something we had to do. You can bet that if we'd not made that comeback we'd have been right behind Detroit in two weeks

Listening to Detroit sports talk radio throughout the season I can tell you that you captured it perfectly. I was laughing through this whole video it was so spot on, right down to the news today that our OC is coming back. And given you are a Packer's fan it is impressive how you do this.
As a Lions fan, my heart might've been broken from the NFCCG lose, but I will truly never forget this season. Best season ever, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this team!

Accurate. Went into the NFC Championship with the mentality "No matter what happens I'm happy." But to destroy the 49ers in the first half just to pull an Atlanta Falcons was incredibly frustrating.

He's right though, the offense didn't execute cause they can convert on both and he has been consistent. The first one should have been converted and the second one if the oline held, then Goff would've seen an open receiver bottom left
