The camera arrangement on the 13 mini is not new for me. I've seen that on an iPhone 7 Plus concept from 5 years ago.

obviously there is no reason to switch the camera position on the mini, it just because apple always change camera design at point to make customer feels and show they are using the newer model.

The real question Is that if this year is an “S” year.
Not gonna lie nowadays apple can do weird stuff with naming, there wasn't 8s or 9 then there wasn't 11s, from 11 jumped straight into 12 and now I am not sure if we are expecting iPhone 12 "S" or 13. I guess there was 11 series and 11 Pro counted as 11S but the difference is not that big.
It isn’t if they bring Touch ID back. If it’s only 120 hz display and new colors, than yes an “s” year
Previously I would think it’s S year this year
But with the smaller notch, new camera array, seems like 13 will be the real name
Usually S years would not have any physical change, except for XS introducing larger form factor
Think there dropping the S think it was a little confusing for some people and was bad for marketing
I'd think it'll be the 13, and not an "S" year, def a number of noticeable updates/upgrades from the 12 series, which I believe will be worthy of the 13 name.

nope. it seems like a premium feature on the 13 Pro
Not on the mini. Pretty much all rumors point to the Touch ID being on the Pro and Pro Max.
Touch ID definitely will make a return to all 4 modes, I just think 120hz will be specific to the pro models. Even then we should just wait until September to see what they say

the notch is all over their marketing everywhere and ppl are recognising it and buying it since 2017.. they're not gonna give that $$$ up until a good 5 or 6 urs in phrasing it out.. had more to do with marketing than functional at this point tbh..
Fuck no the notch is awesome yall tripping too much. Plus draw 2 rectangles rn. Put a notch in one. What do you see? Ones an iPhone and the others are all phones that look the same. Apple doesn’t want that. They wanna be unique. Easily recognizable to be an iPhone and when someone’s a few feet away from you and see your phone they’ll know you have an iPhone cuz of the notch. If they remove the notch it’ll just be like all other phones.

the iPhone Mini should be rebranded as SE, and remain as an exclusive to the SE line.
My only concern now is if I’d still be able to get that same surround sound from both front and bottom speakers, now that the front facing speaker will be smaller I wonder what will happen with the sound quality...and if the 14+ goes all screen that means for me that I won’t get that surround sound anymore

That would be good but there needs to be some separation from the pro and non pro iPhones. If both the pro and non pro models had Lidar then the pro iPhones aren’t really pro iPhones.

Last year for mini model? Why.. Got the 12 mini, first I like ”the screen too small durrr” but the size of the phone is just perfect. Screen is good size and phone fits on pocket perfectly.. Hope 15 or 16 will get mini model
