Would it have been easier to put the fire escape on after it was all together . That way you could have laid it down. Nice job on the building . There has to be a better way to stick the sides on .
Well thanks for that captain obvious ! hahahaha, yeah with hindsight the exterior details being fitted after construction would have been a much better way of doing things, and adding the roof last would also be better, and i have square jigs to clamp the sides too but once i fitted the extra details the jig were unuseable! lesson learned on this one
It still a great build, and we all try something different only to decide it was not the way. Sometimes the instructions are right, sometimes our hunches are. You sort it out and make it look good regardless! Thanks for the show and openness, Digger!
its coming along nicely, for the roof sna supporting it, put supports front and back like you did with the sides and 1 in the middle from front to back, that will stop the roof flexing in the middle
"Hey, it happens to the best of us! 😅 Sometimes putting a kit together can be tricky, but it's all part of the fun. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out in the end! 🔧✨"
Nice Build Digger often builds dont go the way it is suppose to to but in the end we get there and end up with a nice building , well done Regards Greg
DPM building kits can have issues from time to time. Your building looks great. Nice job. Just add a bit more weathering on the roof if you think it looks not up to snuff……John
And this is why you are a top bloke, my friend 👍🏻 Offering to help a complete stranger! You will have enough on building your own layout. But the offer of support and help warms the heart. Such a great community to be a part of because of people like you, my friend 👍🏻
Oh, Digger... I feel your pain. Perhaps you can cover the hole in the roof with a air conditioning unit or a few satellite tv antennas? I don't think you should give up on modeling yet.
I see that Tamiya Cement is made in Japan, not China, I guarantee it’s a quality product then. Hey even though it didn’t want to cooperate with you I still enjoyed the video as always Digger, everything is a constant learning experience. Building looks exceptional though 👍🏼🇺🇸😎🇬🇧
Thank you so much stretch, ive found that using the really thin Tamiya cement first works and then go over with thicker stuff for a slower setting but firmer hold
Hi Digger It looks alright to me, maybe a little work on the roof but not too bad, any chance you will be going to the Colne Exhibition on 16/17th November ? Thanks
Hiya Digger, I still don't know how you managed to crack the roof. lol But it should be easy to fix that. Other than that, the building looks really nice so far. It's been quite a while since my last building (the one on the small US photo diorama) and it definitely needs some company. And I would need a new, larger photo diorama anyway (if I only had more space)... Until then, I'll watch your videos and try to learn a few things from you.
You are very patient Digger I am.with people I once served a customer for 4 and half hours and she still didnt buy any shoes 😂. However inanimate objects 🤭not so patient 😂
it turned out okay i didn't get any help, even on the rare occasions that i do ask for help (politely) i'm met with complete refusal to help or even offer opinions or suggestions,

@@DiggerEvans you're very welcome.
What? The kit didn't go together perfect? Still looks great! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you John, it went together, it's just i half assed it with the roof and it kind of failed but it came good in the end
Wonderful, looking model Digger. Sorry to hear about the roof cracking. (Frank)
Thanks Frank my friend, it's all okay a minor problem i have a lot of plasticard in reserve for this kind of failure
sweet kit Digger, love the weathering :)

That's a nice looking model, I find the same problem when assembling models holding the corners together

Thanks Tammy and Ray
@@DiggerEvans 🥰
Still came out Great Digger!!
You could fill the crack in the roof and paint with some semi-gloss and make it look like a patch job.🤔👍
Thanks Ralph yeah I'm sure it'll fix
Still came out great in my opinion!
Thanks Vinny

Fabulous Digger 👌 thankyou 😊❤oh sorry about the roof 😮🙏🕊😊
Thank you mary it's my own doing that the roof cracked but it's not a problem i have a lot of plasticard for this type of foolery
Nice building and a good addition to any layout. Jersey Bill
Many thanks Bill, hopefully i will find the right spot for it
Nice looking building Digger…the widow treatments really stand out…typical DPM kit giving assembly issues😊
Thanks Anthony i'd like to blame the kit 100% but my foolery played a big part my friend
This looks super cool! Nice job 👍

Thanks Hugh I can fit a new roof it's no big deal, Jerry and I were just goofing around last night.
