I am starting to have a bad feeling that Nice While it Lasted, the series finale of Bojack Horseman, could end up being one of the 10 worst cartoon episodes of 2020 because it completely gave up on exploring everything going wrong in Bojack's life from the rest of Season 6B, and an even worse feeling that it could be one of the best cartoon episodes of 2020 because I don't think it deserves to be that, but that's your opinion if it's the best, not mine. It doesn't try to solve any of that like most other BH season finales do at least try, and I feel like Bojack Horseman betrayed my faith in it by giving up. Even as a final episode that disappointed me, despite me going in with the bare minimum of low positive expectations, Bojack Horseman really betrayed my faith in the series. Although...I think The View From Halfway Down could be one of the best 2020 cartoon episodes if you want to get something from the second half of Bojack's final season for this. With everything else said, Nice While it Lasted still better than Star vs. the Forces of Evil's Cleaved and even if it were to be one of your 10 worst 2020 episodes for that reason, it would not be anywhere near #1. The reason why I feel betrayed by it is because Bojack was the only one of the five principle characters who did not get a happy ending to his arc in the final season, and the wreck of life problems he is still going through by the end of Angela suddenly becomes a non-issue in Nice While It Lasted, when he barely talks about it after Mr. Peanutbutter temporarily removes him from jail for Carolyn's wedding. @@KazuhaEien I wasn't into Ben 10 but I knew how bad the reboot was as a series. I felt so sorry for the fans that enjoyed the original Ben 10. Same goes for the Thundercat fans now (yes it actually a really bad reboot)
I can't wait to see Owl House end with Luz casting a spell that wipes out all Magic and making all previous world building to be completely pointless. Because that's totally how you're supposed to end a show like that, right?
The ending for Star Vs The Forces Of Evil is probably the worst ending I've seen for an animated series. Here's hoping that future shows won't leave too many unanswered questions when they eventually end
I mean,,,,, the 2012 teenage mutant ninja turtles ending was so bad it was deemed noncanonical after it's release because they tried to literally kill off every character but the main 4 characters,,,, but svstfoe is a close second lol
Lol, I just talking to my sister last night how pointless clip show/recap episodes are these days because of the internet. It was something started in the 80's/90's when you weren't able to just look up clips or even entire previous episodes, but obviously we can do that now.
Yeah - like, I could see Gumball doing a clip show if it were 2000/2001, but since it's 2019 and I could just watch Halloween or The DVD or whatever online now. Clip shows are pretty much relegated to parody unless you forgot what year it is.
Star Vs got pretty bad towards the end, the show just got ruined with the needless teen drama bullshit of "Will they get together or won't they?" and the show became all about shipping with some actual plot being sprinkled in only occasionally. That and the fights in Star....kind of sucked? They were so lackluster, like you have Toffee and build him up as this really threatening dude but instead of having a grand battle with him, you stretch out this season premiere with filler-y, stupid nonsense episodes and then when he's FINALLY released in the last like....five minutes, Star just blasts him with a single beam and he gets squashed by a pillar knocked down by Ludo. He's the most wasted potential in a villain I've ever seen, he sounds cool, he's calculating and intimidating....and you just have him stand there doing nothing with it. All I can say is thank God for Eclipsa, Globgor and Meteora, they were the only reason I kept tuning in to this crap.
I felt the same way in the end. Svtfoe started out pretty good, but by the end, they just made many of the main character irredeemable a-holes. Star in an idiot move killed all magic and magical characters. Moon betrayed Eclipsa and Star because -insert reasons here-. And all because of annoying shipping that if was sorted a season before could have wrapped up the show far better. Eclipsa, Globgot and Meterora's end was the only saving grace and I liked Eclipsa and her story to the end. Also at least River remained consistent throughout, he actually grew as a character in accepting monsters like Globogr as an equal, something he wouldn't have done in season 1, showing his growth as a character. Also, if killing all magical characters was fine to do, wouldn't it have made more sense to just have Eclipsa's spell just nuke Mina in the end, and the moment she was dead all the turned mewmans would have just relented, seen how they showed one of them at the end just not being into it? But Noo, can't have Mina just get nuked, that would be bad!! Killing all magical characters though, pff, thats fine!
Not only that but in the end Star did what toffee was gonna do making him sorta right in some twisted way But the thing is tho- He wasn’t right though and neither was star and now she’s responsible for the death and displacement of sextillions of people

Patrick Dy and don’t forget everything Moon learned from the past episode and season were made pointless. Or made worse if we believe she lied to everyone while plotting behind everyones back. And her reasoning for doing it was weak, when eclipsea went through worse
J Yoned Yeah Moon was separated from her daughter but she was found a few months later. Eclipsa’s daughter was taken from her and subjected to abuse by a robot (who built St. Olga and why did she build a boarding school) and turned into a metaphorical monster over centuries. It’s only by doing a spell that if not done perfectly would have killed said daughter but instead reverted her to an infant and they were reunited. Star clearly forgave Eclipsa for that and she didn’t mean for that to happen. Meanwhile Moon was doing false flag operations by freeing Globgor with the hope he’d go on a rampage and hurt innocents and then did the equivalent of giving a pyromaniac a flamethrower. I kind of wish Globgor did what Sans mother did in Princess Mononoke to Lady Eboshi or what the Indoraptor did to Ted Levine’s character in JW Fallen Kingdom. Bite her wand arm off. The only reason they made him a vegan is cause they couldn’t show him eating people on a kids show.

Here’s what happened with Star Vs imo. Starco. It should have happened sooner. It was gonna happen. Then they dragged out the whole “will they wont they” and it wasted a lot of the time in Seasons 3 and 4. Then when it actually did end up happening later, it felt forced and unnatural. It would have been better if Starco just happened sooner. And we would have wasted less time with the whole shipping/Starco drama.

Darken631 Yeah, the Kellco breakup in particular was blatant Starco rushing. The last we see of them together prior to that reveal, they were actually quite compatible. But then a few episodes later, they broke up... *OFF-SCREEN.* And a casual remind that, unlike the Jarco breakup, this was long AFTER the Blood Moon Curse broke.
The Star VS finale almost soured my disney vacation as it aired right before i went to my first park for the first time at disney world last year, thank god it WAS disney world but the finale was THAT BAD-
When it came to shows like "Adventure Time," "Gravity Falls," and "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic," the finales at least ended on a strong note, even when they had their respective flaws. "Star vs." is one of the few times I've been disappointed in a recent cartoon finale. Everything from expelling the magic to that weird explosion that combined Earth and Mewni felt very hollow. Not to mention that purple-haired Sailor Moon lookalike was a weak final villain, and the idea of killing off magical beings like Glossaryck and the Magic High Counsel was unwarranted. I also kind of agree with a lot of other people here on how "Star vs." felt like it was trying to follow the trend of creating an overarching story, like AT and GF, but without making it work properly. Some of the story-driven ideas were fine, such as learning more about the monsters' side of the Mewmen/Monster conflict, but others like Star and Marco's romance subplot felt wonky at best. Also, unlike with "Gravity Falls," and "Amphibia" so far, the tone in "Star vs." felt indecisive on what kind of show it wanted to be (bizarre comedy vs serious drama), or at least a weak blend between these two elements. Now I still enjoyed the show for most of its run, but by the last few episodes I was growing more ambivalent towards the series ending.
I can’t say I hated the entire season. There were a lot of good moments. Particularly with Eclipsa. (Such wasted potential there).The last few episodes though, sucked. If they really wanted to commit to the whole “get rid of magic” plot, it should have been introduced before the last two episodes of the series.

So much of SVTFOE's appeal was that it SEEMED to be slowly developing into an interesting, nuanced character drama. Turns out the writers were just dragging their heels to buy time before being forced to reveal they have no idea where the show is heading. It's been confirmed that much of the show was written as it aired, so unresolved plot-points and contrivances with little care about the end result are understandable, but no less unforgivable. By contrast, Starco was so telegraphed and inevitable that even Marco's VO, Adam McArthur, was telling fans to be patient back in Season 2; there wasn't even an attempt to throw one brick at their perfect, cliché relationship. The fakeouts with Jackie and Kelly were so perfunctory and mishandled that their respective breakups had zero buildup and, consequently, payoff. Daron Nefcy famously modeled Marco after her own husband, and it's easy to see why that was a terrible idea; he's a total Gary Stu, extremely skilled at martial arts, dancing, school, cooking, bodybuilding, motorcycling, and wooing ladies, and his only real flaw is that he doesn't know how amazing he is. Of course the star of Nefcy's show is going to get with her dream guy. Normally, you could argue that a bad ending doesn't detract from the earlier parts of a show, but SVTFOE is a notable exception. Now that there's a conclusion, and it's a completely idiotic one, the show can't hide behind its sense of mystery and intrigue anymore, because it was phony from the start. With all the socio-political narrative completely invalidated, all we're left with is a mediocre action show married to a thoroughly predicable romantic drama. I wouldn't recommend the show to anyone.
Also don't forget not just the mystery leading to nothing, but development of certain characters on the show ending in such a thoughtless way. All magical based characters were wiped out by stars decision (ironically making her as bad as Mina wanting to kill all monsters, cause you know its okay if star wants to kill off an entire group of people!). Characters who not just had development, but set up as figures of the show, like those spider with a top hat shorts, dozens of characters from other dimensions who might have had story, all gone now. After gravity falls I was drawn to this show, it was good and I enjoyed where it was going. But its ending retroactively made it hard to rewatch, unlike gravity falls.

Cleaved is one of The Worst Finale I have ever seen. If people thought Danny Phantom’s Phantom Planet was awful enough to be a series finale, they haven’t witness Star Vs’s finale yet. At least Danny actually saves the day in the end and doesn’t do reckless or insane over a person he’s just started dating with.
Season 4 was rushed and wasted potential. I think the fact they knew they had a limited amount of episodes made them worry and try to cram in as much as they could, without focusing on the consequences. If only they had another season they could have done an even mix of fun episodes and plot episodes instead of a clump of fun episodes and then 3 plot episodes that didn't correlate very well.
Weirdly enough, the creator thought Disney would cancel the show after the third season and she was prepared to ask for one more episode if it did. Disney gave them a fourth season with 21 episodes. So she got 20 more episodes then she expected so there's really no excuse for how season 4 ended up being.
I completely forgot about that. You're right! It has been one of my favorite shows of all time but that finale left me speechless and left a damper on the rest of the show when I rewatch it

Agree and plus I’m not sure if I am the only one who notice this, but I hate the fact that Disney could’ve renewed Star vs the forces of evil for a fifth season, but instead of giving the 5th season to SVTFOE, which is one of there actually Disney shows, they instead gave the 5th season to Avengers Assemble, which was Black Panthers Quest(a was basically more of a spin-off miniseries then an actual season), which is a Marvel show acquired by Disney. In other words, Disney could’ve gave Star a 5th season and it would have been similar to what SU Future is, but instead gave it to a marvel show that made to promote the movies and was used to promote one of their movies that was coming out 😒

In fact, Ponyhead is blatant proof that the 'Magic based civilizations will suffer' is wrong. Because Ponyhead is fine as is her family, so why wouldnt it be the case for every other one? The High Commission was evil, aside from Hekapoo and Glossaryck, and even HE said it was the right thing to do.
The reason why Pony Head didn't die while all the other magical characters died was because Daron Nefcy did it out of spite to those that hated Pony Head. Or that she rushed and didn't think out the story.

One thing I don't like about Star is that I feel like a lot of people give its problems a pass because it's a serialized epic and, in many cartoon fans' opinion, those shows are always great. And I hated that mentality because a lot of quality episodic cartoons got ignored. So in a strange, almost sadistic way, I kind of appreciate Star for dropping the ball like they did, if anything because it showed the community that serialization isn't everything and that a show shouldn't force itself to be something it isn't meant to be. And episodic shows like Big City Greens have been catching on more since.
Toon4Thought Speaking of television/web series in general, I think there are a lot of people who watch and defend mediocre shows because they have the impression that it's "deep", "intellectual", "hip", etc. and thus watching them makes them superior. I actually remember seeing someone claim, "Oh, people who don't watch Person of Interest (a CBS drama) aren't smart and prefer to watch dumb shows!" That is an untrue claim that demeans anyone who wasn't a regular viewer, and which the poster made just to seem smarter and more refined than others. I would much rather hear someone say, "Such-and-such a show is a guilty pleasure of mine," or, "I don't care what people say, I like such-and-such a show," or, "Eh, such-and-such a show gets a lot of attention, but I could never get into it," than to hear someone brag about watching a show because they think it makes them smart or trendy.
Agreed, I want shows like Big City Greens to succeed since Disney only seemed to have hope for story heavy cartoons (which is probably why shows like Wander Over Yonder, The 7D, and Penn Zero were cancelled likely for that reason).

As one who liked the Season 1 finale, even if it was one of my first episodes, it could've been sweet. Although even the end of Toffee could've been a good end.
Don't hate yourself for that, if Star Is The Force of Evil had ended at Eclipsa's Coronation and SU had stopped at Season 5 with White Diamond just giving up, you'd be right. I don't think even the most jaded could've anticipated "Cleaved", and in contrast, I don't think anyone could've anticipated S U Future actually trying to address the complaints garnered from the whole damn series after The Cluster was defeated.
@Tum Tum As someone that followed SVTFOE since the beginning, this show ended up being a complete joke of itself. I'm wondering if it's the fandom's fault because Starco shippers were so desperate for this ship to be canon (and before anyone bash at me, I do like this ship and I liked it better during the first season) or it's Daron Nefcy's fault because she was squeezing in her life story references at the last minute as opposed to using better ideas like she really wanted Monster Arm to come back, but instead she used Naysaya as a plot device for Jarco.

The definition of a hero is "someone who puts their own needs aside for the needs of others, especially the majority". The end of SVTFOE saw Star single-handedly screwing over the whole universe just so her own life and the lives of those closest to her wouldn't be inconvenienced. When the characters you consider your "heroes" prevent a genocide by committing a larger and arguably much worse genocide, it's probably time to re-evaluate your skill as a writer...
That's one thing but there are a lot of plot holes that were never issued and left untouched. There's also a bunch of ideas better than Starco that could've made this show better. Turns out Starco is more of a focus as opposed to more serious problems and it wasted potential of many things especially Eclipsa.
Seriously, I loved Star vs The Forces of Evil, but Season 4 had so much potential and never lived up to it. And ugggghhhh...Starco. Star and Marco worked better as FRIENDS and should have stayed that way. Their dynamic was best when it was platonic, not romantic.

i loved star vs the forces of evil. it really was something great in its first two seasons. however, the third season just wasn’t as good, and the fourth really dropped the ball. as someone who binged the show on disney +, it was just so hard to get through.
Also I’m like 90% convinced Star’s finale WAS intended as sequel series bait for Disney+. Daron only said don’t ask her about it and has stated it’s up to Disney, so yeah, everyone that loves the show has been pestering disney about it

Considering the first episode pretty much hammers in how weird and special Luz is, I'm making a bet right now that something is gonna happen just like that minus the genocide aspect.

That's actually one of my favorite episodes of Steven Universe Future so far, alongside its sister episode with Eyeball Ruby and Aquamarine. I'm not really a big fan of Teen Steven being all mopey, all uncomfortable and all angsty, and him being a vegetarian now also feels done just for the sake of being righteous or having a message. Steven seems to struggle a bit too much with his negative feelings. I guess Rebecca wanted Steven to feel relatable, but seeing the 10 episodes so far, it appears Steven had had the fun sucked out of him in certain cases (and that's also why I like the Snow Day episode, which brings attention to this). The aforementioned pair of episodes I like don't focus too much on Steven's angstiness. The one with Eyeball and Aqua feels more like a Season 3 Steven Universe episode, even with a semi-battle against two Gem foes, and both episodes also show a bit of humor.

Season 4 of Star Vs was the most disappointing thing I seen, and I was a major sonic fan. It had such potential to be a fantastic series. But no, Daron and her group of hacks fucked it all up. At least the fandom is salvaging the disaster s4 was with art, fics and AU’s.
SVTFOE Finale seems out of place. It feels like the creator thought about many ways to finish the show, chose one ending and then decided to go with another one halfway trough the season. But let's not let an awfull ending destroy what was a overall good cartoon.
Moon _had_ ample reason to turn on Eclipsa. The fact she threw countless families of Mewmans out of their homes and gave them to monsters whose distant ancestors used to live there generations ago. Leaving women and children to wander around the woods without a home. Trying to undo a morally reprehensible action by literally repeating it. Thing is, the show very much showcases it as something bad that Eclipsa did....but also never calls her out on it, ever. Despite the people recruited by Moon and Mina being the same ones that Eclipsa had made homeless without any consideration for their well being. It's just established and then ignored until the end of the series.
What really has no sense nor justification in Moon's actions, is that she gave an entire army of racist and instable buffed warriors to an even more racist and instable warrior. All this while declaring she "stopped Mina from doing worse" (I'm really curious how it would have been worse than THAT) and expecting no one would have gotten hurt, considering the premises.
The finale of Star should have been a hour long episode. it felt like everything was squeezed in to wrap things up quickly. so much was built up for nothing to happen, just like the new Star Wars trilogy
I loved Star Vs the Forces of Evil and even I can say that I was highly disappointed in the ending of the series, it feels like they just slapped the ending together for Disney to just cancel airings of the series as quickly as possible. I was expecting more of like a Weirdmagaddon from Gravity Falls kind of thing, where it has a bittersweet ending to the series and wraps up many mysteries and theories about the show. Also ended with narration, since it began with narration, it would only make sense.
I think animation in general is slowly deteriorating, becoming unfunny, almost entirely filler and (sorry if this comes off as insensitive) but only concerned about the characters sexuality than their actually personalities or stories.
Peter being addressed as Peter Griffin from family guy really isn't anything new though. It was established long ago in the series that they're all self-aware that Family Guy is a show that they star in. They make references to this all the time.
I really do like Escapism a an episode, and the scene at the end makes me somewhat emotional whenever I give it a rewatch. The placement was just really poor, but if it wasn’t part of the arc and the story, I could see it as being a sweet standalone episode.
I don't even watch Star vs TFoE but dear god just hearing about it makes me want to throw something. I love shipping but don't sacrifice your story and developed plot lines for one ship!
I'm still a fan of star vs, I love tom to death ( he was done so dirty by this show, star cheated on him with Marco, never had to apologize for it, then after they broke up she got together with Marco THE NEXT DAY. And tom gets abandoned and forgotten in the magic dimension cause star and Marco are jerks and the crew put them getting together over them being decent people to anyone on the show). But I did not like that finale, it left me empty and I promptly feel betrayed by the crew. Because the show has real potential with its world and characters but for some reason the crew ignored all the interesting lore and potential and mysteries to play "will they won't they" with the most predictable pairing they could and literally ignore or retcon every interesting idea they had. I can't even say I want a season 5 because theres nothing to look forward to, the lore and world is ruined, star and Marco's relationship is so bad I can't be excited for that, and every idea they had is squandered so I'm not sure they can be revived. I really wanted to give s4 a chance but I can't defend this mess. As a fan I dont want a s5. I want the show to come back someday, but not like that, and not continuing under these circumstances. Honestly, just switch to the fan community, the show may of wasted its potential but the fandom ain't and I'm thankful to see them write the stories they wanted but didn't get from the show.

In my opinion, it WAS a good show. Comedy always was on spot (even in the last season, at least in many instances), and story progression and characters were decently handled, until season 3.
@@InazumaSensei idk what happened to the writers, what were they thinking? The part that made me angry was when Marco was impaled by a UNICORN, and that scene was highly anticipated in the trailers. But then it just ignored later on and was excused as a paper cut. Also, the plot just focused on STARCO after season 2, and that's what killed the show. Marco's relationship with Jackie and Stars relationship with Tom was just a cheap tactic to bring starco. That's it. Also, talk about bad character development.
yeah ok just gonna weigh in here. On something that nobody talks about/has mentioned yet in everywhere i have read. As i re watched the finale i think i got it. I think i got why the finale upset me so much. It was a subtle writing flaw that ticked me off as a writer that i didn't get until now. But now that i do ii understand why i still have issues. Simply put i let myself be confused by her wanting to stop mina. This is not important in the long run. What upset me so much was that Star never considered all the problems for others not on mewni without magic(or the spells) . what star did was the antithesis of the whole show, she became what she hated, a queen making a big decision for everyone else without actually considering the wants and needs of others. That is why i was so upset. When you break it down that is so against what Star's character is that it's downright upsetting. It sort of just...Makes her what she hated so much. Someone who makes decisions for others, saying it's for the best without asking anyone else. Literally her entire problem with the commission was this very thing and them lying about it saying ti was for the greater good of mewni. She basically does the same thing that feels so wrong Its just... So selfish. And there are no real consequences or fallout of this that affects her in a negative personal way It makes Star almost into a Mary Sue Everyone loves her and accepts her decisions no matter what and faces no consequences for her actions She kills magic and gets the guy in the end Simply put it makes star a hypocrite. Think about it. Star is litteraly a giant hypocrite by the end of the series and nobody points this out or addresses it. Heck even most people pointing out the problems of the show DON'T point THIS out either.
As someone who genuinely loved Star vs I admit I’m incredibly forgiving of this show’s many shortcomings. But I also can’t disagree with you and your critiques of the show and its last season. ESPECIALLY that finale.

I think you're doing The Secret War from Love Death and Robots a disservice by telling others to not watch it. I certainly enjoyed it, for it's action, plot and animation, (which doesn't really look like a PS3 game like you said). The demons are cool too. I would recommend for others to watch the episode for yourself.

I remember when Star vs The Forces of Evil was a both an action pack and comedy show with no forced romance or boring drama, the characters were likable instead of being dull or selfish, a good villian, great flash animation instead of boring hand drawn animation and it was a great series. Why Season 3 and 4 had to ruined this show?
I hated the whole last season of STVOE along with a good chunk of season 3. I didnt hate the racism plot but it wasn't implemented well at all. The whole plot was one-sided and failed to establish why the Mewmans wouldn't like monsters despite the show constantly showing prior to this showing monsters to be dangerous and potentially harmful to mewmans and yet they only showed the mewmans hating monsters and that's it.
I remember watching star vs the forces of evil and I loved it, it seem really good and I was excited to see season 3 and 4 after I stop watching it because I was not a fan of watching tv anymore, the show went downhill faster then the titanic
There are only four of the episodes mentioned on here that I've seen, so I'm just going to go through them real quick... The Electric Princess - I didn't think it was too bad. Not the best episode at all, but I still enjoyed it. I do agree with what you said though. Escapism - I agree with everything you said and I feel the exact same way. Spring Break Forever - eheheh... Um... This is my favourite episode of Twelve Forever and I've watched it three times already... lmao SVTFOE finale - that can go to hell. Season 4 of the show as a whole kinda threw the story out the window in favour of the really bad and dragged out romantic subplot. And it all ended in a trashfire. If I rewatch SVTFOE, I'll probably give season 4 a miss.
Honestly when it comes to The Inquisition as an episode it's one of the best of the whole series, but it falls flat on it's face when looking at it as the series finale. Thankfully we're gonna be getting the movie to wrap everything up.
Rad's Alien Sickness was gross. Not one of the show's better moments, but I found it funny at times and especially liked the dig at crystal healing. Also, the animation was pretty good, although it was used for grossout humor. Also the ending of Star VS was horrible, but it actually made me appreciate Star Twinkle Precure's story a lot more. They also tried to tackle the topic of racism with magical girls, but did it in a better way than "lol racism is over". Having a magical girl who actually faced racial prejudice due to being Mexican-Japanese helped the story a lot on that front.
I thin we can agree All Through the House is the best episode of Love, Death and Robots, as it solely relies on tension to achieve what it sets out to do.

My problem with Star Season 4 was that I felt it was going to be a "Detroit Become Human" scenario where one side are portrayed as such huge assholes that they are beyond being redeemed and the whole story just becomes an "Us Verses Them" thing. Granted it's not as bad as Detroit Become Human but it felt cringe worthy on how Star was pretty much almost alone in trying to create peace between Mewmans and Monsters and showing the good within Eclipsea.
Marco should have been stabbed by the evil unicorn eailer in season 4 have him be pretty hurt by it while it slowly corrupts him and re aweakens monster arm
The pilot episode of Harley Quinn was definitely a bad episode, and a horrible start to a series that has become quite enjoyable to watch. Way too much gore, sexual innuendo, and cringe humor.

All of the most popular cartoons of the last decade took a 90 degree angle nosedive in quality, yet the fanbases refuse to let you criticize them. For example, Steven Universe. Steven just kept getting bullsh*t powers that he never used again. Powers that even the other diamonds don’t seem to have. And Steven always wins by just being nice. Even against the characters that have been set up to be cold, emotionless dictators, who view emotions as defects in their subordinates. But if you criticize these, or any of the dozens of other shortcomings of the show, you’ll get fans trying to explain that the show was only ever meant to be taken as a slice of life, despite it having fights in 90% of the episodes, or explaining how the characters aren’t bland because they cry sometimes. Adventure Time fans will pretend like the bullsh*t pretentiousness the show engulfed itself in, was not the writers trying to act philosophical and failing, but were all actually well-written, smart, and high-intellect outlooks on the nature of life. In a show aimed at 12-year-olds. Rick and Morty completely lost its sense of identity, about half-way through season 2. The whole point of the show, originally, was that nothing mattered, and that, that fact was funny, given how humans long for meaning. The show pushed this idea by having basically no continuity between episodes. It hinted at the idea by having the environment slightly reflect previous events, but the characters basically never talked about previous events, or changed because of them. And that’s what made it funny. Rick was the jaded narcissist who found fun by simply following his moment to moment instincts, and the rest of the family acted as foils to the various aspects of his narcissism and nihilism. But now every character is no different than Rick, aside from Jerry. Summer and Morty have killed dozens of people, and yet they still find the time to humiliate Jerry for his mistakes, and Beth is just a sociopath, now. Where there would once be a joke, there’s now bullsh*t drama. Where once the joke of everything was that the show would reset to the standard by the end, humorously undercutting the horrific things we saw during the episode, the show now tries to build tension, by suggesting that any of the characters might kill one another, despite the fact that the same rule of everything resetting at the end of each episode, still applies. The show is never going to kill Rick, he’s too popular, so any hint that Morty is going to do that, is bullsh*t. And again, Season 1 Rick and Morty would have made a joke about that dynamic, rather than ignoring it, and playing it straight for drama. Regular Show actually went out on a high note. Gumball is somehow still creative, after all this time, and I respect it for that. Star Vs went on for two seasons too long, and got too invested in relationship nonsense. Marco and Jackie, and Star and Tom, those two pairings made the most sense, since it would symbolize the growth all four characters went through, throughout the series. They made good couples, we even saw as much, when the writers were wasting our time with relationship nonsense. So rather than do the stupid thing, of sacrificing literally all character development and character likability by forcing Jackie and Star together, just do what makes sense. She-Ra was never good. Anything else is probably not worth remembering.

Unicorn Bunny Yeah, it’s rather obvious that Star vs wasn’t meant to be that much of a story driven show at the start. Which isn’t always a bad thing, but it appears the crew for Star vs kinda couldn’t handle it completely near the end.
I loved the world and the magic of star vs, but I only watched the first 2 seasons and stopped because I didn’t care about Starco and the ship drama, hearing how the story ended is even more disappointing
As a big fan of SVTFOE I feel like the ending would’ve been properly developed if they cut out a large junk of the shipping stuff and replaced it with world building and plot. Also Escapism was ehhhhhhhhhhhh.
The one thing that pissed me off the most is how they just railroaded Ludo's story to an end in one episode without him ever formally making amends with Star and Marco or going out of his way to gain their friendship. He was so slated to pull a Prince Zuko arch and it was a pretty missed opportunity. No reconciliation with his parents either. But that's not important because we have to waste time with crystalized Globgor, Star's missing mom, the beach day photo, dumb shipping and a thousand other totally pointless B-side plotlines.
I'm fine with him not reconciliating with his parents and living on his own with his siblings because, well, those two were jerks, but for the rest, yes, a Ludo's arc was something that definitely missed in the last two seasons.
@@InazumaSensei I feel like Ludo's dad may have been carrying some of the same baggage Ludo did in that he was pressured to succeed by his own dad. I think he became miserable and a worse person because of it. I've been writing my own fanfiction because of my disappointment with the last season and I've been trying to imagine who the Avarius' were as people. I try to imagine them as a couple that at least at one time loved each other. I dont think they have a happy marriage and they have a bit of a despise towards each other. I think Lady Avarius hides the way she feels about things around her husband. As a mother I bet shes worried sick about Ludo because hes so small and on his own. They have to know their castle got destroyed. I feel like there is a part of them that Ioves their son but well never know because that wasnt explored.

I mean, it would probably be worst if he was just yeeted away from the way right after BoM. Unless THAT wasn't the time in which his arc converged, with the ending with Dennis and all the other siblings.

I am starting to have a bad feeling that Nice While it Lasted, the series finale of Bojack Horseman, could end up being one of the 10 worst cartoon episodes of 2020 because it completely gave up on exploring everything going wrong in Bojack's life from the rest of Season 6B, and an even worse feeling that it could be one of the best cartoon episodes of 2020 because I don't think it deserves to be that, but that's your opinion if it's the best, not mine. It doesn't try to solve any of that like most other BH season finales do at least try, and I feel like Bojack Horseman betrayed my faith in it by giving up. Even as a final episode that disappointed me, despite me going in with the bare minimum of low positive expectations, Bojack Horseman really betrayed my faith in the series. Although...I think The View From Halfway Down could be one of the best 2020 cartoon episodes if you want to get something from the second half of Bojack's final season for this.
With everything else said, Nice While it Lasted still better than Star vs. the Forces of Evil's Cleaved and even if it were to be one of your 10 worst 2020 episodes for that reason, it would not be anywhere near #1. The reason why I feel betrayed by it is because Bojack was the only one of the five principle characters who did not get a happy ending to his arc in the final season, and the wreck of life problems he is still going through by the end of Angela suddenly becomes a non-issue in Nice While It Lasted, when he barely talks about it after Mr. Peanutbutter temporarily removes him from jail for Carolyn's wedding. Lol, I just talking to my sister last night how pointless clip show/recap episodes are these days because of the internet. It was something started in the 80's/90's when you weren't able to just look up clips or even entire previous episodes, but obviously we can do that now.
Lmao the latest time you could maybe get away with a clip show was like the early-mid 2000s. Any later is pathetic.
Yeah - like, I could see Gumball doing a clip show if it were 2000/2001, but since it's 2019 and I could just watch Halloween or The DVD or whatever online now. Clip shows are pretty much relegated to parody unless you forgot what year it is.
Star Vs got pretty bad towards the end, the show just got ruined with the needless teen drama bullshit of "Will they get together or won't they?" and the show became all about shipping with some actual plot being sprinkled in only occasionally. That and the fights in Star....kind of sucked? They were so lackluster, like you have Toffee and build him up as this really threatening dude but instead of having a grand battle with him, you stretch out this season premiere with filler-y, stupid nonsense episodes and then when he's FINALLY released in the last like....five minutes, Star just blasts him with a single beam and he gets squashed by a pillar knocked down by Ludo. He's the most wasted potential in a villain I've ever seen, he sounds cool, he's calculating and intimidating....and you just have him stand there doing nothing with it.
All I can say is thank God for Eclipsa, Globgor and Meteora, they were the only reason I kept tuning in to this crap.
I felt the same way in the end. Svtfoe started out pretty good, but by the end, they just made many of the main character irredeemable a-holes. Star in an idiot move killed all magic and magical characters. Moon betrayed Eclipsa and Star because -insert reasons here-. And all because of annoying shipping that if was sorted a season before could have wrapped up the show far better.
Eclipsa, Globgot and Meterora's end was the only saving grace and I liked Eclipsa and her story to the end. Also at least River remained consistent throughout, he actually grew as a character in accepting monsters like Globogr as an equal, something he wouldn't have done in season 1, showing his growth as a character.
Also, if killing all magical characters was fine to do, wouldn't it have made more sense to just have Eclipsa's spell just nuke Mina in the end, and the moment she was dead all the turned mewmans would have just relented, seen how they showed one of them at the end just not being into it? But Noo, can't have Mina just get nuked, that would be bad!! Killing all magical characters though, pff, thats fine!
Not only that but in the end Star did what toffee was gonna do making him sorta right in some twisted way

Patrick Dy and don’t forget everything Moon learned from the past episode and season were made pointless. Or made worse if we believe she lied to everyone while plotting behind everyones back. And her reasoning for doing it was weak, when eclipsea went through worse
J Yoned Yeah Moon was separated from her daughter but she was found a few months later. Eclipsa’s daughter was taken from her and subjected to abuse by a robot (who built St. Olga and why did she build a boarding school) and turned into a metaphorical monster over centuries. It’s only by doing a spell that if not done perfectly would have killed said daughter but instead reverted her to an infant and they were reunited.
Star clearly forgave Eclipsa for that and she didn’t mean for that to happen. Meanwhile Moon was doing false flag operations by freeing Globgor with the hope he’d go on a rampage and hurt innocents and then did the equivalent of giving a pyromaniac a flamethrower.
I kind of wish Globgor did what Sans mother did in Princess Mononoke to Lady Eboshi or what the Indoraptor did to Ted Levine’s character in JW Fallen Kingdom. Bite her wand arm off. The only reason they made him a vegan is cause they couldn’t show him eating people on a kids show.

Here’s what happened with Star Vs imo. Starco. It should have happened sooner. It was gonna happen. Then they dragged out the whole “will they wont they” and it wasted a lot of the time in Seasons 3 and 4. Then when it actually did end up happening later, it felt forced and unnatural. It would have been better if Starco just happened sooner. And we would have wasted less time with the whole shipping/Starco drama.

Darken631 Yeah, the Kellco breakup in particular was blatant Starco rushing. The last we see of them together prior to that reveal, they were actually quite compatible. But then a few episodes later, they broke up... *OFF-SCREEN.* And a casual remind that, unlike the Jarco breakup, this was long AFTER the Blood Moon Curse broke.
The Star VS finale almost soured my disney vacation as it aired right before i went to my first park for the first time at disney world last year, thank god it WAS disney world but the finale was THAT BAD-

When it came to shows like "Adventure Time," "Gravity Falls," and "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic," the finales at least ended on a strong note, even when they had their respective flaws. "Star vs." is one of the few times I've been disappointed in a recent cartoon finale. Everything from expelling the magic to that weird explosion that combined Earth and Mewni felt very hollow. Not to mention that purple-haired Sailor Moon lookalike was a weak final villain, and the idea of killing off magical beings like Glossaryck and the Magic High Counsel was unwarranted.
I also kind of agree with a lot of other people here on how "Star vs." felt like it was trying to follow the trend of creating an overarching story, like AT and GF, but without making it work properly. Some of the story-driven ideas were fine, such as learning more about the monsters' side of the Mewmen/Monster conflict, but others like Star and Marco's romance subplot felt wonky at best. Also, unlike with "Gravity Falls," and "Amphibia" so far, the tone in "Star vs." felt indecisive on what kind of show it wanted to be (bizarre comedy vs serious drama), or at least a weak blend between these two elements.
Now I still enjoyed the show for most of its run, but by the last few episodes I was growing more ambivalent towards the series ending.

I can’t say I hated the entire season. There were a lot of good moments. Particularly with Eclipsa. (Such wasted potential there).The last few episodes though, sucked. If they really wanted to commit to the whole “get rid of magic” plot, it should have been introduced before the last two episodes of the series.

If your show can make an ending worse than SU’s, you’ve truly screwed up.
So much of SVTFOE's appeal was that it SEEMED to be slowly developing into an interesting, nuanced character drama. Turns out the writers were just dragging their heels to buy time before being forced to reveal they have no idea where the show is heading. It's been confirmed that much of the show was written as it aired, so unresolved plot-points and contrivances with little care about the end result are understandable, but no less unforgivable.
By contrast, Starco was so telegraphed and inevitable that even Marco's VO, Adam McArthur, was telling fans to be patient back in Season 2; there wasn't even an attempt to throw one brick at their perfect, cliché relationship. The fakeouts with Jackie and Kelly were so perfunctory and mishandled that their respective breakups had zero buildup and, consequently, payoff. Daron Nefcy famously modeled Marco after her own husband, and it's easy to see why that was a terrible idea; he's a total Gary Stu, extremely skilled at martial arts, dancing, school, cooking, bodybuilding, motorcycling, and wooing ladies, and his only real flaw is that he doesn't know how amazing he is. Of course the star of Nefcy's show is going to get with her dream guy.
Normally, you could argue that a bad ending doesn't detract from the earlier parts of a show, but SVTFOE is a notable exception. Now that there's a conclusion, and it's a completely idiotic one, the show can't hide behind its sense of mystery and intrigue anymore, because it was phony from the start. With all the socio-political narrative completely invalidated, all we're left with is a mediocre action show married to a thoroughly predicable romantic drama.
I wouldn't recommend the show to anyone.
Also don't forget not just the mystery leading to nothing, but development of certain characters on the show ending in such a thoughtless way. All magical based characters were wiped out by stars decision (ironically making her as bad as Mina wanting to kill all monsters, cause you know its okay if star wants to kill off an entire group of people!).
Characters who not just had development, but set up as figures of the show, like those spider with a top hat shorts, dozens of characters from other dimensions who might have had story, all gone now.
After gravity falls I was drawn to this show, it was good and I enjoyed where it was going. But its ending retroactively made it hard to rewatch, unlike gravity falls.
If only there was a way for fans to edit this series properly

Cleaved is one of The Worst Finale I have ever seen. If people thought Danny Phantom’s Phantom Planet was awful enough to be a series finale, they haven’t witness Star Vs’s finale yet. At least Danny actually saves the day in the end and doesn’t do reckless or insane over a person he’s just started dating with.

Season 4 was rushed and wasted potential. I think the fact they knew they had a limited amount of episodes made them worry and try to cram in as much as they could, without focusing on the consequences. If only they had another season they could have done an even mix of fun episodes and plot episodes instead of a clump of fun episodes and then 3 plot episodes that didn't correlate very well.
Weirdly enough, the creator thought Disney would cancel the show after the third season and she was prepared to ask for one more episode if it did. Disney gave them a fourth season with 21 episodes. So she got 20 more episodes then she expected so there's really no excuse for how season 4 ended up being.

Agree and plus I’m not sure if I am the only one who notice this, but I hate the fact that Disney could’ve renewed Star vs the forces of evil for a fifth season, but instead of giving the 5th season to SVTFOE, which is one of there actually Disney shows, they instead gave the 5th season to Avengers Assemble, which was Black Panthers Quest(a was basically more of a spin-off miniseries then an actual season), which is a Marvel show acquired by Disney.
In other words, Disney could’ve gave Star a 5th season and it would have been similar to what SU Future is, but instead gave it to a marvel show that made to promote the movies and was used to promote one of their movies that was coming out 😒

One thing I don't like about Star is that I feel like a lot of people give its problems a pass because it's a serialized epic and, in many cartoon fans' opinion, those shows are always great. And I hated that mentality because a lot of quality episodic cartoons got ignored.
So in a strange, almost sadistic way, I kind of appreciate Star for dropping the ball like they did, if anything because it showed the community that serialization isn't everything and that a show shouldn't force itself to be something it isn't meant to be. And episodic shows like Big City Greens have been catching on more since.
Toon4Thought Speaking of television/web series in general, I think there are a lot of people who watch and defend mediocre shows because they have the impression that it's "deep", "intellectual", "hip", etc. and thus watching them makes them superior. I actually remember seeing someone claim, "Oh, people who don't watch Person of Interest (a CBS drama) aren't smart and prefer to watch dumb shows!" That is an untrue claim that demeans anyone who wasn't a regular viewer, and which the poster made just to seem smarter and more refined than others. I would much rather hear someone say, "Such-and-such a show is a guilty pleasure of mine," or, "I don't care what people say, I like such-and-such a show," or, "Eh, such-and-such a show gets a lot of attention, but I could never get into it," than to hear someone brag about watching a show because they think it makes them smart or trendy.
Agreed, I want shows like Big City Greens to succeed since Disney only seemed to have hope for story heavy cartoons (which is probably why shows like Wander Over Yonder, The 7D, and Penn Zero were cancelled likely for that reason).

I'm wondering if it's the fandom's fault because Starco shippers were so desperate for this ship to be canon (and before anyone bash at me, I do like this ship and I liked it better during the first season) or it's Daron Nefcy's fault because she was squeezing in her life story references at the last minute as opposed to using better ideas like she really wanted Monster Arm to come back, but instead she used Naysaya as a plot device for Jarco.

That's one thing but there are a lot of plot holes that were never issued and left untouched. There's also a bunch of ideas better than Starco that could've made this show better. Turns out Starco is more of a focus as opposed to more serious problems and it wasted potential of many things especially Eclipsa.

i loved star vs the forces of evil. it really was something great in its first two seasons. however, the third season just wasn’t as good, and the fourth really dropped the ball. as someone who binged the show on disney +, it was just so hard to get through.
Also I’m like 90% convinced Star’s finale WAS intended as sequel series bait for Disney+. Daron only said don’t ask her about it and has stated it’s up to Disney, so yeah, everyone that loves the show has been pestering disney about it

The Steven Universe Future episode “A very special episode” was my least favorite Steven episode by far
That's actually one of my favorite episodes of Steven Universe Future so far, alongside its sister episode with Eyeball Ruby and Aquamarine.
I'm not really a big fan of Teen Steven being all mopey, all uncomfortable and all angsty, and him being a vegetarian now also feels done just for the sake of being righteous or having a message. Steven seems to struggle a bit too much with his negative feelings. I guess Rebecca wanted Steven to feel relatable, but seeing the 10 episodes so far, it appears Steven had had the fun sucked out of him in certain cases (and that's also why I like the Snow Day episode, which brings attention to this).
The aforementioned pair of episodes I like don't focus too much on Steven's angstiness. The one with Eyeball and Aqua feels more like a Season 3 Steven Universe episode, even with a semi-battle against two Gem foes, and both episodes also show a bit of humor.

steven universe future is "angsty overweight teenage boy: the show"
Season 4 of Star Vs was the most disappointing thing I seen, and I was a major sonic fan. It had such potential to be a fantastic series. But no, Daron and her group of hacks fucked it all up. At least the fandom is salvaging the disaster s4 was with art, fics and AU’s.
SVTFOE Finale seems out of place. It feels like the creator thought about many ways to finish the show, chose one ending and then decided to go with another one halfway trough the season.

But the Star vs finale is definitely the worst cartoon finale I've ever seen.
Moon _had_ ample reason to turn on Eclipsa. The fact she threw countless families of Mewmans out of their homes and gave them to monsters whose distant ancestors used to live there generations ago. Leaving women and children to wander around the woods without a home. Trying to undo a morally reprehensible action by literally repeating it.
Thing is, the show very much showcases it as something bad that Eclipsa did....but also never calls her out on it, ever. Despite the people recruited by Moon and Mina being the same ones that Eclipsa had made homeless without any consideration for their well being. It's just established and then ignored until the end of the series.
What really has no sense nor justification in Moon's actions, is that she gave an entire army of racist and instable buffed warriors to an even more racist and instable warrior. All this while declaring she "stopped Mina from doing worse" (I'm really curious how it would have been worse than THAT) and expecting no one would have gotten hurt, considering the premises.
That what makes me sad. Any chance for gray morality was thrown out the window.

The finale of Star should have been a hour long episode. it felt like everything was squeezed in to wrap things up quickly. so much was built up for nothing to happen, just like the new Star Wars trilogy
I loved Star Vs the Forces of Evil and even I can say that I was highly disappointed in the ending of the series, it feels like they just slapped the ending together for Disney to just cancel airings of the series as quickly as possible. I was expecting more of like a Weirdmagaddon from Gravity Falls kind of thing, where it has a bittersweet ending to the series and wraps up many mysteries and theories about the show. Also ended with narration, since it began with narration, it would only make sense.

I really do like Escapism a an episode, and the scene at the end makes me somewhat emotional whenever I give it a rewatch. The placement was just really poor, but if it wasn’t part of the arc and the story, I could see it as being a sweet standalone episode.
I don't even watch Star vs TFoE but dear god just hearing about it makes me want to throw something. I love shipping but don't sacrifice your story and developed plot lines for one ship!
I'm still a fan of star vs, I love tom to death ( he was done so dirty by this show, star cheated on him with Marco, never had to apologize for it, then after they broke up she got together with Marco THE NEXT DAY. And tom gets abandoned and forgotten in the magic dimension cause star and Marco are jerks and the crew put them getting together over them being decent people to anyone on the show). But I did not like that finale, it left me empty and I promptly feel betrayed by the crew.
Because the show has real potential with its world and characters but for some reason the crew ignored all the interesting lore and potential and mysteries to play "will they won't they" with the most predictable pairing they could and literally ignore or retcon every interesting idea they had.
I can't even say I want a season 5 because theres nothing to look forward to, the lore and world is ruined, star and Marco's relationship is so bad I can't be excited for that, and every idea they had is squandered so I'm not sure they can be revived.
I really wanted to give s4 a chance but I can't defend this mess. As a fan I dont want a s5.
I want the show to come back someday, but not like that, and not continuing under these circumstances.
Honestly, just switch to the fan community, the show may of wasted its potential but the fandom ain't and I'm thankful to see them write the stories they wanted but didn't get from the show.

In my opinion, it WAS a good show. Comedy always was on spot (even in the last season, at least in many instances), and story progression and characters were decently handled, until season 3.

But then it just ignored later on and was excused as a paper cut. Also, the plot just focused on STARCO after season 2, and that's what killed the show. Marco's relationship with Jackie and Stars relationship with Tom was just a cheap tactic to bring starco. That's it. Also, talk about bad character development.

As i re watched the finale i think i got it. I think i got why the finale upset me so much. It was a subtle writing flaw that ticked me off as a writer that i didn't get until now. But now that i do ii understand why i still have issues. Simply put i let myself be confused by her wanting to stop mina. This is not important in the long run.
What upset me so much was that Star never considered all the problems for others not on mewni without magic(or the spells) . what star did was the antithesis of the whole show, she became what she hated, a queen making a big decision for everyone else without actually considering the wants and needs of others. That is why i was so upset. When you break it down that is so against what Star's character is that it's downright upsetting.

Season 4 to Star Vs the Force of Evil was NOT Only Disappointing with TOO Much Filler episodes But it's series finale was a Complete Dumpster Fire of a Mess with a Shitty ending just having Star And Marco being together witch I'd call it Lazy writing with a Shitty ending and thus I'd still think Steven Universe is better then Star vs the Forces of Evil

I think you're doing The Secret War from Love Death and Robots a disservice by telling others to not watch it. I certainly enjoyed it, for it's action, plot and animation, (which doesn't really look like a PS3 game like you said). The demons are cool too. I would recommend for others to watch the episode for yourself.

I remember when Star vs The Forces of Evil was a both an action pack and comedy show with no forced romance or boring drama, the characters were likable instead of being dull or selfish, a good villian, great flash animation instead of boring hand drawn animation and it was a great series. Why Season 3 and 4 had to ruined this show?
I hated the whole last season of STVOE along with a good chunk of season 3. I didnt hate the racism plot but it wasn't implemented well at all. The whole plot was one-sided and failed to establish why the Mewmans wouldn't like monsters despite the show constantly showing prior to this showing monsters to be dangerous and potentially harmful to mewmans and yet they only showed the mewmans hating monsters and that's it.
When Star admitted that Toffee, the monster that almost killed Marco and killed her grandmother, was right all along was disgusting.
Bruno Linares It feels like by the end Toffee didn’t care about the monsters. He just wanted payback against Moon.

The Electric Princess - I didn't think it was too bad. Not the best episode at all, but I still enjoyed it. I do agree with what you said though.
Escapism - I agree with everything you said and I feel the exact same way.
Spring Break Forever - eheheh... Um... This is my favourite episode of Twelve Forever and I've watched it three times already... lmao
SVTFOE finale - that can go to hell. Season 4 of the show as a whole kinda threw the story out the window in favour of the really bad and dragged out romantic subplot. And it all ended in a trashfire. If I rewatch SVTFOE, I'll probably give season 4 a miss.
Honestly when it comes to The Inquisition as an episode it's one of the best of the whole series, but it falls flat on it's face when looking at it as the series finale. Thankfully we're gonna be getting the movie to wrap everything up.
Rad's Alien Sickness was gross. Not one of the show's better moments, but I found it funny at times and especially liked the dig at crystal healing. Also, the animation was pretty good, although it was used for grossout humor.
Also the ending of Star VS was horrible, but it actually made me appreciate Star Twinkle Precure's story a lot more. They also tried to tackle the topic of racism with magical girls, but did it in a better way than "lol racism is over". Having a magical girl who actually faced racial prejudice due to being Mexican-Japanese helped the story a lot on that front.

Star Vs. had SO much potential for a good story, but the ending just squanders anything... Seriously, Toffee for some reason was just NOT important.
imagine you are walking by the sidewalk, suddenlt a giant hole appears from nowhere, you see a dude running towards the hole, a girl gets out of the hole, then the next thing you see are some random ass flying unicorn heads that talk, and huge monsters etc. like bruh i would just silently start to cry and immediately go "yo what acTUAL THE FUCK?!"
My problem with Star Season 4 was that I felt it was going to be a "Detroit Become Human" scenario where one side are portrayed as such huge assholes that they are beyond being redeemed and the whole story just becomes an "Us Verses Them" thing. Granted it's not as bad as Detroit Become Human but it felt cringe worthy on how Star was pretty much almost alone in trying to create peace between Mewmans and Monsters and showing the good within Eclipsea.

The pilot episode of Harley Quinn was definitely a bad episode, and a horrible start to a series that has become quite enjoyable to watch. Way too much gore, sexual innuendo, and cringe humor.

All of the most popular cartoons of the last decade took a 90 degree angle nosedive in quality, yet the fanbases refuse to let you criticize them.
For example, Steven Universe. Steven just kept getting bullsh*t powers that he never used again. Powers that even the other diamonds don’t seem to have. And Steven always wins by just being nice. Even against the characters that have been set up to be cold, emotionless dictators, who view emotions as defects in their subordinates.
But if you criticize these, or any of the dozens of other shortcomings of the show, you’ll get fans trying to explain that the show was only ever meant to be taken as a slice of life, despite it having fights in 90% of the episodes, or explaining how the characters aren’t bland because they cry sometimes.
Adventure Time fans will pretend like the bullsh*t pretentiousness the show engulfed itself in, was not the writers trying to act philosophical and failing, but were all actually well-written, smart, and high-intellect outlooks on the nature of life. In a show aimed at 12-year-olds.
Rick and Morty completely lost its sense of identity, about half-way through season 2. The whole point of the show, originally, was that nothing mattered, and that, that fact was funny, given how humans long for meaning. The show pushed this idea by having basically no continuity between episodes. It hinted at the idea by having the environment slightly reflect previous events, but the characters basically never talked about previous events, or changed because of them. And that’s what made it funny. Rick was the jaded narcissist who found fun by simply following his moment to moment instincts, and the rest of the family acted as foils to the various aspects of his narcissism and nihilism. But now every character is no different than Rick, aside from Jerry. Summer and Morty have killed dozens of people, and yet they still find the time to humiliate Jerry for his mistakes, and Beth is just a sociopath, now. Where there would once be a joke, there’s now bullsh*t drama. Where once the joke of everything was that the show would reset to the standard by the end, humorously undercutting the horrific things we saw during the episode, the show now tries to build tension, by suggesting that any of the characters might kill one another, despite the fact that the same rule of everything resetting at the end of each episode, still applies. The show is never going to kill Rick, he’s too popular, so any hint that Morty is going to do that, is bullsh*t. And again, Season 1 Rick and Morty would have made a joke about that dynamic, rather than ignoring it, and playing it straight for drama.
Regular Show actually went out on a high note.
Gumball is somehow still creative, after all this time, and I respect it for that.
Star Vs went on for two seasons too long, and got too invested in relationship nonsense. Marco and Jackie, and Star and Tom, those two pairings made the most sense, since it would symbolize the growth all four characters went through, throughout the series. They made good couples, we even saw as much, when the writers were wasting our time with relationship nonsense. So rather than do the stupid thing, of sacrificing literally all character development and character likability by forcing Jackie and Star together, just do what makes sense.
She-Ra was never good.
Anything else is probably not worth remembering.

Unicorn Bunny Yeah, it’s rather obvious that Star vs wasn’t meant to be that much of a story driven show at the start. Which isn’t always a bad thing, but it appears the crew for Star vs kinda couldn’t handle it completely near the end.
The worse part of this video is finding out the PPG reboot is still running.

I loved the world and the magic of star vs, but I only watched the first 2 seasons and stopped because I didn’t care about Starco and the ship drama, hearing how the story ended is even more disappointing
As a big fan of SVTFOE I feel like the ending would’ve been properly developed if they cut out a large junk of the shipping stuff and replaced it with world building and plot. Also Escapism was ehhhhhhhhhhhh.
The one thing that pissed me off the most is how they just railroaded Ludo's story to an end in one episode without him ever formally making amends with Star and Marco or going out of his way to gain their friendship. He was so slated to pull a Prince Zuko arch and it was a pretty missed opportunity. No reconciliation with his parents either. But that's not important because we have to waste time with crystalized Globgor, Star's missing mom, the beach day photo, dumb shipping and a thousand other totally pointless B-side plotlines.
I'm fine with him not reconciliating with his parents and living on his own with his siblings because, well, those two were jerks, but for the rest, yes, a Ludo's arc was something that definitely missed in the last two seasons.
@@InazumaSensei I feel like Ludo's dad may have been carrying some of the same baggage Ludo did in that he was pressured to succeed by his own dad. I think he became miserable and a worse person because of it. I've been writing my own fanfiction because of my disappointment with the last season and I've been trying to imagine who the Avarius' were as people. I try to imagine them as a couple that at least at one time loved each other. I dont think they have a happy marriage and they have a bit of a despise towards each other. I think Lady Avarius hides the way she feels about things around her husband. As a mother I bet shes worried sick about Ludo because hes so small and on his own. They have to know their castle got destroyed. I feel like there is a part of them that Ioves their son but well never know because that wasnt explored.
@@InazumaSensei Yeah, or just not have him appear at all. Ludo for some reason kept showing up occasionally despite his arc being over in BoM, like they were teasing a future role for him. And he only got like 5 sec in Cleaved lol
I mean, it would probably be worst if he was just yeeted away from the way right after BoM. Unless THAT wasn't the time in which his arc converged, with the ending with Dennis and all the other siblings.
