I am happy that OK KO is over. It wasn't even IMO a good show. (Invader Zim's issue is that it appealed to everyone but the intended audience... and Danny Phantom actually had a long run.)
Why do people keep saying it was cancelled? It just ran it's course from beginning to end.

Haven't watched the vid yet, but this show was the guttiest and most strongly defined show on Cartoon Network in a very long time. Ian Jones Quartley made the jump from that Mega Fort Awesome show to a Adventure Time writer/boarder, and Steven Universe influencer and earned his spot in making his vision. A wacky, obtuse, avant guarde, YTP-like,promotional, and ambitious show. Even though it got canned, Ian and his team were given enough time to present a proper ending. Whatever happens to Toby Fox, Ian JQ, Stevie Borbolla, Danny Ducker, and whoever else I'm missing, I hope for the best and the blessed

Awesome retrospective! OK KO is such an underrated gem and I adored every second of it! Great character development, fun facial expressions, exciting action scenes, sweet moments between characters for development, a good soundtrack, and lots of references that range from popular to obscure! This is one of the few cartoons I could legitimately rewatch a thousand times and not get tired of it. I hope this show becomes a cult classic among animation fans. Can't wait for your next video!!!
OK KO is one of the most cartoony cartoons I've seen this decade. It did what SU and AT and even Clarence refused to do - take advantage of its medium to make characters as expressive as possible. And OK KO! is an honourable tribute to all cartoons. If you've ever like toons as a kid you have to watch this show. It's a true blast to the past.

No I don't think so in fact I think KO and Clarence where some of the few shows that had substance still and not just fart jokes(what TeenTitans:GO devolved into). And with the freakin' Captain Planet cameo it really hit me in the nostalgic feels. Good animation/graphics style, amazing characters, and definitely interesting storylines.
I've watched this video around three times
this is my favorite cartoon of all time, but i honestly struggle through rewatching season 3. you can tell they were rushing to get through the final conflict with venomous and shadowy figure, so it just feels a lot more bloated, especially since they only got 20 episodes compared to season one's 50 episodes and season two's 30-40. the final episodes are amazing though, whenever i even think about them i start tearing up. you can tell they wanted to do so much with this show, but ultimately so many episodes that could've been amazing (I AM NOT OVER LET'S BE FORGIVEN NEVER BEING MADE), but it was just cut too short too early
also the sonic crossover was so out of left field but considering boxman shares a VA with eggman i see why

I think cause OK KO doesn't take itself as seriously as say: Steven Universe, going off model isn't as much of an issue. It''s easy to see that OK KO is trying to entertain you, first and foremost. It puts the audience first in that way. While Steven Universe harps too much on themes or 'the message' and loses focus, which messes up the pacing. And pacing tends to be the spine of most entertainment media, so if the spine is wrecked, everything else takes a hit too.
Honestly the show not getting any merch is CN's fault, and it's really more two and a half seasons rather than three. And it will always bug me that Steven Universe got more seasons and a movie while OK KO got cut short. Especially with Steven Universe's... issues.

@Dylon Vonszxensxzineu To some , it is obvious. Although even I had to have someone else point out a few things before I could see past the sweet soft superficial outer layer of Steven Universe.
For some, seeing how Bismuth was treated was the spark. For others it was the diamonds. This video is about OK KO so I'll not delve too deep into SU here.
For everyone here: OK KO doesn't bring in really heavy subject matter like Genocide, War, Slavery, Mental illness, etc into it's core story telling. Steven Universe does. Comedy is King in OK KO, which makes the presentation of that show less complicated. Steven Universe not only tackles multiple sensitive issues, but it doesn't execute them properly. Coming off as insensitive, unprofessional and in some cases, Racist or Homophobic.
For example. It's revealed in Season 5 that Pearl was once a slave. Her liberation is a big part of her character arcs. But in the episode "Sworn to the Sword" Pearl actively tells Connie that she doesn't matter. Grooming Connie to 'give Steven her service'.
The issues lie in that a former slave is treating someone else like they're worthless. And considering that Connie is of color, and Pearl is racially coded and actually colored white: This situation comes off as looking racist.
This is why OK KO is professional, acceptable and more viable. It doesn't mishandle sensitive situations carelessly. Because the writers wisely chose not to go there.

@@manidavis4126 Yea no OK K.O is a lot better. Here's the show in a nutshel just looking at KO. Throughout the show ko is growing up with insecurities such as not having a father and being a weak hero as time goes by (even tho the kid is trying to hide it) the kids negative emotions are beginning to pile up and eventually the kid lets his negative emotions manifest and he developes multiple personality disorder. Ko tries to be friends with his new personality called tko threw out the show and it seemed to be working but he wasn treating tko like a friend he treated tko like a creature and when tko did something bad ko locked him away into the depths of his mind. This backfired however and when tko returns he not only imprisons ko but murders ko's friends and family. The Ben 10 reboot isn't comparable to OK K.O at all.

Me and my boyfriend watched it and it was the best we had seen, especially with the finale
We could tell when it got rushed, but the characters were amazing

I'm kicking myself that I didn't watch this when it first came out. It looked fun but I didn't think it would go anywhere story-wise, so I didn't tune it. I binged the series in the past 4 weeks and ohhhh it is spectacular! It's fun, wholesome, and really witty!

I personally love OK KO's art style. It's delightfully simplistic and reminds me of my own art style as a kid
I have the opinion that ok ko is the best cartoon network show ever made purely for the 3rd season alone, this show has so much personality, a gripping story that I loved, and a villain that mirrors the main themes of the show so well. Ok ko is without a doubt the best show Cartoon Network has ever produced in my opinion, not my favorite, but the best.

One of the few times I've visited the United States, I flew to Florida to visit an old girlfriend of mine, Every time I returned to my hotel the first things I did was turn on the AC and turn on Cartoon Network, which at the time was almost entirely OK KO, Craig of the Creek and TT Go, and watched in awe as a 25+ year old man. The theme tune of OK KO takes me instantly back to that crummy hotel.
As A HUGE Fan if the series, When I thought about, after I watched The Final Episode/Episodes (Since I’m counting “Thank you for watching the show” As another episode) I’m actually happy the show got cancelled. Not because it was bad (Which It CLEARLY Wasn’t) But because I didn’t have to see such a good show be ruined by continuing on and on, having the people who work there run out of ideas, and then make the show Terrible. I mean, look at what happened to The Amazing World Of Gumball. One of the BEST Cartoon Network shows to exist, but sadly, began to get worse, and worse and the seasons continued. That’s why the show never got a proper ending. Luckily enough, O.K KO did, and I was extremely happy to see that after watching the final episode. Of course, that was after I got finished sobbing over the memories, and the show itself.
I would have bough dozens of ok ko trading cards if they were ever made.

I was so sad when i found out it was getting cancelled but cried so hard at the finale it was handled really well. Ill be fair i had an on and off liking/dislike for the show mostly from bad experiences with its fanbase but at the core the show never stopped making me incredibly happy its just...its a feel good show! And i am happy that i got to be along for the ride
This was one of my favorite shows, easy top 3, it has such great animation and story telling, man I wish it went on for long, I pray Ian makes another show and has references to this show so much. From the intro to the credits, I love every single piece of this show dearly to my heart.

I loved OKKO when it first came out I tried to watch as much as I could but did not see when new EP. came out so I only say the first half of the first season and the crossover. I have been going to college so that has been taking up most of my time but now with winter break, I am happy that I have so much to catch up on.

Haven't watched it yet, but I feel like at the end of season 3, the show was finally just kicking itself into gear and revving it up. They've introduced such a varied cast and such a deep interpersonal connection between the characters that never got the chance to bloom into an entire story. I feel so cheated out of something that definitely was going to be like the next Adventure Time, just because CN wanted more Teen Titans on their screens.
Professor Venomous was hardly the main villain! Fucking hell, he's likely the most complex character in the series but I'm going to believe that he and the whole Shadowy Venomous thing was like the first boss fight in a very long line of boss battles. We never even got to see what MKO would be like (How much would having TKO back in KO affect him??) and I have a strong hunch that Shadowy would be back to deal with Venomous' unresolved issues.
ALSO I WANTED TO SEE OLD POINT KICK VENOMOUS IN THE SHINS HHHHHHHH (I die for angst, as well as unfulfilled angst)
I remember seeing the commercial for the lakewood plaza turbo game, and I remember thinking, "I wish this was a show". It's prolly one of the most entertaining shows I've watched. Like, even the "filler" is super funny and fun. I'm gonna miss it

Even if the plot was simple, I still adored Crossover Nexus. It acknowledged so many shows/pilots that haven't been referenced by the network in years, even ones that were written off like Sym-Bionic Titan and Megas XLR. And it has my favorite soundtrack in the show (besides Let's Meet Sonic) because of nods to the New New New New, Cartoon Cartoon, Cartoon Network Fridays, and CN City jingles.

The amount of references this show pulled off was amazing. One of the the episodes even had the Steven universe star fade out as a joke, it was awesome!
This show didn’t helped me with my art style much but the wired “eye shadow” the characters have is something I probably will never stop using lol
I’ve watched this show since I’ve ever seen the pilot, and slowly seeing the show go from somewhat unpopular to being well known was sweet. I do feel that a lot of criticisms were valid as well, but I’m more focusing on how enjoyable the show is itself instead of focusing on how it looks ugly.

I think Ok K.O. deserves to have another shot and the ending of the final episode looked rushed and left us with lot's of unanswered questions and is just a what on earth. For me I just say just cancel Teen Titans GO and put Ok K.O. Back on the Air because Ok K.O. was a great show that Deserves another chance.

it didn't deserve to end this soon. It only lasted like 1 or 2 years, made an amazing Sonic crossover and yet they decided to out of nowhere throw it away along with its potential, including the chance of seeing how and why Ven adopted Fink. And what makes it worse is that Ian Jones DIDN'T even want to end the show. God, CN's decisions just really put my spine out of place.
I'm still so sad there's not new epsiodes of this show for me to watch. Professor Venomous is too hot for TV I guess, yes I love him, he was my fav.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone says characters being off-model or just take a smear frame is bad animation
going off-model is fine for comedic effect. but if the characters are constantly changing proportions every episode... that is just wrong (cough steven universe Cough)
This mostly happens with critiques of Japanese cartoons I've noticed.
Emperor Alonzo Yep, one of the ones I hate the most are two in between/ smear frames from these great fight scenes in Naruto and these people say it’s bad animation with absolutely no context

Also CN: Hates OK K.O. after mid-season 2 even though it has every decent thing about other shows
This might just be me. However, I feel like 3 seasons is a respectable run. To me, a single season of 13 episodes is standard and anything above that is doing pretty good.
I love how Sonic and Tails returned to CN in OK KO since Sonic Boom finished airing in 2016, 2017, or 2018.

God, I remember when this show was just a pilot called Lakewood Plaza Turbo. Didn’t think I’d live to see its beginning and its ending. Have to at least give the creator congrats to getting his show greenlit for three seasons.
aww man i miss it. every Friday i would come home to find this show available to watch. it has inspired me in many ways. if people ask id be happy to say this inspired me/
