I agree with Kevin. I’m glad that Coppola was able to make the story that he’s been wanting to make, but apart from it being a Coppola movie I didn’t feel there was anything special with the world or the goals of the characters. I thought the first 30 minutes or so it was really intriguing but once it went to the colosseum sequence it lost me.
Anyone can comment on how Saturday Night is for someone who doesn't have a clue about SNL and has never watched a single thing from it or about it? It seems like it's kinda a inside baseball thing for Americans.
here in Finland, SNL has influenced the "Comedy combat" sketch entertainment program that has been shown since 2010. In the program, Actors perform various sketches for an hour and a half live. Some of the sketches are pre-recorded. In addition to the scripted parts, the Actors have to perform improvisations. In addition, an essential part of the program is the Sketch Character of the Year competition. in 2016, there was an official attempt to make Finland's Saturday night live program according to the original format, but it flopped badly, remaining for one season mainly because Comedy combat was already our own SNL.
I totally agree with Kevin about Megalopolis. It was irritating and exhausting and entirely baffling. I was more bored than I’ve been in a theater in many moons.
Your friend of the show has not exactly been knocking it out the park lately with outstanding movies. Will there be a good story behind Gladiator 2 or will it be just another movie with good action sequences?
@@seanoconnell2073 You're on the money with your theory though. In the comics, Sentry is Marvel's Superman but with a split personality disorder (hence the Fight Club song reference in the trailer). I can definitely see him being the Big Bad of this movie

It's shocking that Ella Hunt is this British girl who plays this posh lady in Horizon and then goes bananas as Gilda Radner here in Saturday Night
Great episode and interview as always! Thanks for the Night Bitch shout-out!
Mann Jason reitman....I think I'm gonna have to listen to all his interviews now😂 such great stories
I just saw Megalopolis this afternoon and I honestly loved it. it definitely had a Baz Luhrmann flavor to it which is right up my alley

This was really a great one, guys! Even though I have only a slight clue what SNL is, I am now really intrigued to see it once it is out.
Fun episode! Going to try to see Megaopolis.. just to experience it. Can't wait to go see Saturday night as well!

Saving Private Ryan's Brother Bryan 2
You'd watch
Metropolis was horrible, I almost walked out! It was really bad!
I think Sean meant to say Sentry not sentinel.
The old man is really slipping lately. Sad to see. Probably time to put him in a home!
