I watched Teen Wolf in its entirety and Dylan stole the show and honestly acted better than the script deserved. He pulled off comedic sidekick, romantic lead (he had the biggest love story on the show) and one point had a dual role as the season's villain. I've been waiting for his career to explode, and I really hope it is soon. Also, Emily Henry cast him in one of your adaptations!
i love dylan because he’s this really talented actor but also just a guy. like the way he is in interviews gives such anxious normal person vibes 😭 10/10 no notes
The power of Dylan O'Brien is that this comment section is full of nothing but positive comments. I don't know why production companies don't give him more roles simply because his fanbase has clearly remained so loyal.
He stopped acting for while after Maze Runner 3 (I know love and monsters and another movie came out after it but those were contract he signed during MR3) so he was just taking a break now that he is back hopefully we will see him more and more!
He comes off as socially anxious person pushed to their limit, trying to soldier on. I enjoy this type of humor a lot, though, so it was a fun interview to watch anyway.
Not every actor or musician is great at being a talk show guest, but my favourites are the ones that are prepared to run with a bit and/or let the host pick up the slack if they're trying to find their feet. By the end of this interview I feel like Dylan O'Brien is well on the way to being a brilliant guest. He really comes across as someone can take a shot, and if he can't throw many back yet, well, y'know Olyphants don't grow on trees.
I love Dylan's story, he started out as a RUclipsr before being a "RUclipsr" was even a thing, he was in college when he got the role for the Teen Wolf show and he had very limited acting experience. He's one of those raw talents who remains humble no matter how much success he gains, very different from actors these days who think they deserve their roles and deserve to be treated like famous people, Dylan has always been just a normal guy getting by in Hollywood from his acting talent alone as opposed to having famous family or connections or "clout", love it.
Dylan is a fine actor, a genuinely funny man, and is really likable, too. His ability to portray really different characters and disappear into the roles, is amazing considering his age. Many of our most famous male leads, past and present, never play anyone but themselves. I may be in my 70's, but I never missed a "Teen Wolf" episode, it was really enjoyable!
Some of these comments, relax. I thought this interview went really well, also do yourself a favor and watch other Dylan O’Brien interviews and learn his humor lol. Like this went really well in my eyes and I thought he had great chemistry with Seth. He looked very comfortable.
When he said he'd been watching 7th Heaven, I remembered that Tyler Hoechlin was in that show, and I don't think I've ever seen the whole show, though I have seen part of it, so I may need to watch it again myself.
i ran to watch this when i saw he was on! thought they would have talked about the movie more but always happy to see Dylan. genuinely one of the best actors of his generation (comedy and drama!) and i will never stop yelling that from the rooftops, he deserves more recognition ✌️
Just think 17 years ago Dylan was a RUclipsr just a kid putting what he made on RUclips to staring in movies think about that people. He is a great underrated actor every movie I seen him in he is so God damn good and I am happy to say I am a Dylan fan for life that he can come from RUclips too Mtv's Teen Wolf too all most losing his life making a movie when a stunt went wrong on the 3rd maze runner movie to come back from that and still be acting I am just happy to be a fan of this great actor.
I dont usually watch interviews, but I really enjoyed this one! I loved the energy between Dylan ans Seth. It was definitely awkward but never felt forced. I might have to watch more of Seth's interviews
0:17 I’m so impressed by whatever accent he’s doing here, or just the way he’s talking like this. He sounds exactly like how people spoke in 1940s movies!
all the comments saying they love his anxious normal vibes. I look at him and see a confident, laid back and very funny guy. It's amazing how we all see people diiferently
I wonder if Maze Runner and Teen Wolf were agreed in advance to be off the table, because I find it hard to believe that two of his most well known roles were not mentioned at all in this interview beyond a reminder that he was in them to the crowd. I was less than enthralled by the Maze Runner series, but he really stole the show in Teen Wolf. I used to tell people that I'd love to see him take on basically any role that a young Jim Carrey would have, or even a reboot of one of Carrey's characters like Ace Ventura.
I love Dylan and think he is a fantastic and yet underrated talented actor! Even though he looks nothing like Dan A when he was saying those lines I absolutely thought that was Dan's voice and even briefly at the desk! I'm sure he has the beard for a role he is acting now but I do prefer his handsome clean shaven face. The way Dylan naturally speaks I could see some actors and comedians someday doing impersonations of him in the way they do Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Robert Denero, ect... now. 👍🤩
The best is that Dylan was super unfiltered lol. He had no idea what his team gave Seth's team as prompts. Also when someone makes themselves cringe it's my favorite thing in the world lol. Dylan is invited to the cookout!
Dylan loves the show 7th Heaven ., and he's on the Halloween episode of season 1 which is one of my favorites of the show, love Dylan even more now lol
I thought this was a good interview! Watched it last night but I definitely wanted to rewatch since I probably missed some stuff first go round. Wow you’d think Dylan was telling these hilarious jokes the whole time cause the audience was laughing at everything he said lol but what cracks me up is him actually auditioning for frozen 2! You know I thought he was joking about that the entire time (especially with him having a RUclips video dedicated to him auditioning but never getting in lol) but I’d love to see a video of him singing in that audition room!
Brilliant of Seth (and his writers) to mine the rich comedy found in Dylan O'Brien's audition for Frozen 2. That's one of the funniest Hollywood stories I've ever heard on late night television.
I didn't really like the questions that Seth Meyers asked, he kind of made it awkward and didn't ask good questions. He even admitted at the end that he hadn't really seen anything that Dylan was in after he had asked about a failed audition. I'd be uncomfortable and feel awkward, too.
about not having seen his work, dylan is the one who started that joke so it was clearly a bit but as for the questions i agree they could have been better lol
Watching Adam Brody on talk shows and then this pops up! Been a while since I watched something with Dylan but after starting to watch more of Adam recently, knew Adam and Dylan has some similarities and hearing and seeing Dylan in this I can see the similarities! 🤩 I love rewatching 7th Heaven and Friends! Atm am getting round to watching all of older shows.. atm I’m in last season of The OC!
Dylan O’Brien back on national television we are so back

I miss teen wolf that was my favorite show during my teen years and i had such a major crush on Dylan
once he did maze runner his acting improved 100% in teen wolf
I only watched the show for him
He would kill in an Emily Henry adaptation

Love & Monsters is an underrated gem.
The best Monster Hunter movie that’s not Monster Hunter.
its so well edited i dont get how its so underrated
Facts.
Love & Monsters 2 WHEN????!!!!!!
I watch it at least 1x every year if not more.
i love dylan because he’s this really talented actor but also just a guy. like the way he is in interviews gives such anxious normal person vibes 😭 10/10 no notes
Same he is going to be amazing in this movie
Agreed. He's been the same for years.
@@purpleamber1 I hope he wins a golden globe for this role
tbh he gives off that he has impostor syndrome
Remember when he was just a teenage RUclipsr?
dylan has been my celebrity crush since i was 15. i'm about to turn 29 and i'm still here. that goofy personality has captured my heart
zip it up when you're done
Always has to have one male to ruin the fckng vibe.
Yes!!!

He seems like Joseph Gordon-Levitt's more awkward brother.
That's because he totally is. Lol

Right? I’m so confused by the comments, this was a great interview:
I've always considered him underrated. Glad that he's getting the recognition he deserves.
it is so nice to listen to him talk, we need more of him in talk shows
I LOVE STILES!!! Dylan is such a brilliant actor, he's able to play so many different roles, yet each one feels authentic to him. It's amazing.
When he said he'd been watching 7th Heaven, I remembered that Tyler Hoechlin was in that show, and I don't think I've ever seen the whole show, though I have seen part of it, so I may need to watch it again myself.
Exactly talk about irony
lol Tyler is still Martin Brewer in my head, also I can definitely picture Dylan teasing Tyler about it when his character pops up 😂
I didn't know Hoechlin was in it now I am definitely sad I can't stream it where I live
@@thatangelread In the later seasons
@@TheFlowMind yea j figured I used to watch reruns of the first few seasons on tv
Day drinking when?!?!? That episode would be epic and need to be at least 30 minutes long!
Dylan O'brien is one of my most favorite actors and truly wish I could see him more....

100 % agree.
More Dylan O’Brien please. I know he’s a busy actor but still, I need more Dylan on screen. Somebody make it happen.
Met Dan Akroyd on the street in Toronto some time ago - he really is just the nicest guy.
Loved him in Teen Wolf, Maze Runner and The First time. Ive been obsessed with him for so long!!!

That's SNL ACKROYD there though!
*_Whoa._** He's got (young) Ackroyd's voice, mannerisms, pacing down COLD.* 🤯
Oh, cannot wait for the hilarity when he reaches Hoechlin's 7th Heaven Era
I need to know his reaction to that xD
Oh yeah! I forgot Tyler was on the show.
😂god yes
oh my god the things id let this man do to me are IMMESURABLE
I will never stop loving this man 🥹
I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! He's SO self-deprecating!!! SO EXCITED we're in a "Dylan O'Brien Renaissance"! CAN'T WAIT for "Saturday Night"! ❤❤❤
Dylan nailed the fast-talking, quick, sharp wit of Aykroyd.
Have been following his work since TEENWOLF, so happy for him..
6:45 "Hopes... ... ..." is an insane clip.

Dylan is great & so likeable.
made me smile throughout the whole interview
So happy hes doing interviews again they are always the best🤣
They both have wry, dry humor. Love it 😂
This interview had me laughing from beginning to end.
Thankssss for calling Dylan O'Brien on your show❤❤❤❤❤❤

He came to promote the snl movie so that's what was asked about the most, but I would not be shocked if his injury from Maze Runner was off the table.
That's better if that's the case, he's there for SNL and that should be their only focus
I was hoping the 4th maze runner movie plan would come up
Eh, none of his previous roles came up. And those movies are 10 years old- not “news” that would be fruitful for Seth to ask about
We miss Dylan so much, it's heartbreaking
The comedic chemistry here is great!
I swear dylan is such a cutie and such a great actor. I love him sm ❤
Such an anxious, awkward, and relatable dude.
The way I would kill for a Dylan O’Brien x Seth Meyer’s buddy cop comedy 😂
I hope that happens
That is an awesome idea.
@@Rebelfire75 I Agree but I also hope that Dylan get's to host #SNL
This is so weird because Im from Kingston Ontario Canada and Ive met Dan several times. Great man.
