Looks good on the board, but our market is typically $5 per pound with buyer paying processing, or $7 per pound with processing included. $15 per is not attainable in our area.
My problem is I live around Amish. As soon as you start something they low ball you. Tell their friends and they also do it. Everyone would rather buy from Amish for bragging rights. Even though they raise them super cheap so the beef is cheap, then they come to me complaining about their product.
$15/lb! That’s crazy for most people. How about something actually affordable and sustainable? Even $10/lb would be higher end. Where does your $5/lb cost come in?
Great question. We don't recommend a business that's "all things for all people". You're much better of choosing a premium niche. Also, for most smaller producers, they actually need to make their nut on margin because they are unable to produce volume. As far as the $5/lb cost, that's based on cutting and wrapping and fulfillment.
quarter is priced at $5.70 per pound hanging weight. We are anticipating 150-200 pound hanging weights per quarter. A quarter beef with processing and delivery included will cost between $750-1000 This deposit goes towards the grand total, with the balance being paid at delivery.
A friend of mine sent this to me because we have land thinking we would be interested. After watching the video I didn’t see anything about shipping. Is shipping built into the $5lb?
