@@TheDinofou I think zerg would be way better against protoss and worse against terran, and terran would be way better against protoss. So protoss would really come out the worst from this.
actually it might be possible for one player to play slower then the other, if the player with less time is spinning around the one with more time at near the speed of light, there is 3 problems with that -the first one is that it is difficult to make, we don't have the spaceships to make this work - second the g forces on the slower player would be massive, or there is gonna be a lot of ping because of the distance required to make the g forces lower - third is the easiest problem, and that is that we need to make software that can run star craft on these time delayed computers but yeah in a hypothetical futuristic society, it could work edit: i did the math, and if you want to keep the g forces at an almost managable 3g, and you want to keep the ping to under a second you can achieve about 1.00000000001 times speed, so its not really doable physiclly, even with futuristic tech
You also need to switch to pov of "serral" if you can fix the bug to show how freaking fast this guy is.... of course the game is played at half the speed😂
If you still wanted to do the bit at some point, you could record the replay at normal speed and then speed up the footage to x2 before casting it instead of casting via the actual replay engine. That way the animations would look more on point. The only downside is you'd have to make sure you linger for a long time before each transition so when you speed up the footage your camera movements look natural, you could even halve your screen scroll sensitivity to make that look natural too lol
In these low speed videos you need to pay more attention to efficient mining in the late game. The base at the bottom had 21 workers for so long and multiple bases around it were empty. Also the min/ gas ratio should be more important. In a real game army control has the priority but here you can pay attention to it! This video was so cool!
you could still do the ideaof casting a slowed game, since (i think) the game is by default played at "very fast" speed, you can play the game at "normal" or "slow" speed, i mean by setting it in the settings of the sc2 UI.
You would need a live observer who is just observing and then speed the video to 2x then cast over that 2x video. Would still be wonky but ,ets be real does anyone watch the games that close? Nm, game sound would be busted
Also during watch of the Serral replay i thinked about one thing, Zerg, toss and Terran mindsets. I think we Zergs, thinking about Future way ahead, we dreaming about Map fully mined out, and how to work with it all and stuff, being partially hatefull towards tosses with their insane Shields for such situation, While Terrans think about it at a moment, they consider to grab all resourses they can at a moment, turtle up, and wait till their opponent will fall beating their head into their mighty fortres walls. And tosses? I dont know, what are theirs perspective?
I always watch on 2x speed. Try this: play game on 0.5x, "cast" the game at 0.5x locally to get a video. Take notes from the 0.5x cast and then cast over the 0.5x playing on 2x speed so your voice is 1x and the game is 1x. Then I can watches it on 2x. Lol.
Playing against someone else with 0.5x speed is actually not entirely physically impossible. If you're moving in circles at a relativistic speed, you'd be able to experience the game at a slower pace. The circle should be relatively small (as in, not much larger that the earth itself) to prevent unplayable lag, and of course you'd need to create the technology to do this in the first place. I didn't bother to calculate the exact speed, but if ChatGPT o1 did that correctly; you need to move at approximately 86.6% the speed of light.
As soon as i heard the promise, i searched for videos with Serral, sadly i remembered it was Seral vs Maru, TvZ, so i found one.. and i actually thinked second game there was played by you captain... I returned to test it, and i see different map and you start saying that you didnt post it... i dont know what to think now...
We have Serral vs Maru at home:
This is how Serral sees the actual game probably
Best comment ever.
I'm really enjoying the gradual change from trying to play perfect starcraft to just trolling and trying insane plays.
somehow, overlords travel at the same speed
If apm becomes less of a factor, I suppose the strategy becomes more and more important
I think Zerg would be terrible if every player were able to micro like alphastar
@@TheDinofouseems like the banelings are pretty useless as they are able to be targeted and split much easier.
@@TheDinofou I think zerg would be way better against protoss and worse against terran, and terran would be way better against protoss. So protoss would really come out the worst from this.
just watch this in 2x speed
💀
I did
Harstem becomes the fastest player in the world. It’s like Reynor at 1.25x

cant you just change the speed from fastest to fast? or something lower to achive the same results but without the bugs?
yeah he can but this is more funky
Pretty sure he can put the game to slow or normal speed for the same results without the game animations being buggy
yeah i think setting the game speed to slowest would work decently
Harstem is the only StarCraft youtuber who can show gameplay in half speed while still being entertaining.
I love that you try to trick people from time to time on the harstem cast channel. I hope you can solve the issues in the future and can cast it!
You also need to switch to pov of "serral" if you can fix the bug to show how freaking fast this guy is.... of course the game is played at half the speed😂
Maybe using the own game's "normal" speed instead of a mod would do it?
Man, I love short little 30 minute videos like this one
If you still wanted to do the bit at some point, you could record the replay at normal speed and then speed up the footage to x2 before casting it instead of casting via the actual replay engine. That way the animations would look more on point.

Perhaps have another player spectating the game live and screenrecording for the cast video so they can look around in slow motion
This way super cool! Can you do that mod as toss vs some player too?
I was wondering if a mod might change the Timescale while properly affecting the animation speed. because you can see the sliding in the recording.

33:51 Insane LOL, 3 in a row ....SO Intense 37:40
Interesting how Harstem tries to talk faster in the 2x speed video but here talk with his normal pace.
Would love to see what blink stalkers can achieve at slowest game speed
I pretend to be Serral all the time trying to play like him at his speed, but instead of winning, I just end up perfecting the art of losing 🤣

Serral lose againt Maru? In late game? Next fairy tale: drone invasion over New Jersey
i remember serral at an interview saying that units need to be faster in starcraft... that they are too slow
regarding the cast plan, maybe you could've casted a recording of a game that was sped up instead of an actual replay
You would need a live observer who is just observing and then speed the video to 2x then cast over that 2x video. Would still be wonky but ,ets be real does anyone watch the games that close?

There should be a mod that limits the amount of effective actions per second. I would like to see how good Serral is with a 60 APM cap
That would be so annoying, lag on purpose
7:55 that's actually not physically impossible 🤓 One of you just needs to be moving really fast or be near a black hole 😂
The only way "road to rank 1" will finish 😂
you gotta cast this game
Mind games
So... this mode makes gameplay feel more like warcraft 3 micro.
he actually did it, i asked about this in chat a month back or so :D
A cool idea!
I think you should cast the game in "normal" speed anyway, just to see the difference.
I always watch on 2x speed.

This was the slowest game of StarCraft 2 I've every watched.

Yea i thought this while he said it that itd be impossible while keeping the units the same speed relatively
Cast this game none the less please
i like an idea
So you need 348 zerg bases to destroy 6 human bases....
You know something about hydralisk?
you are serral with single "R"
ghosts too strong
Let guess - You got Canon Rush again into Oblivion ?
That was a banger video

I watch Serral vs Clem on 2 times speed anyway, wouldn't have notice
Yikes
Now do a Bo7!
I'm watching the video on 1.5x speed.
😂😂😂
Ghost > Thor
