This is the only video this year that should be allowed of click-bait title (and wouldn't be a click bait at all). I watched this at dinner and I had to remind myself that I'm pushing too hard with the knife. It's 20 minutes of tension. Couldn't relax. He's not the only one sweating after this game ...
@@ulrichwinkler722 "Win". After years I still haven't figured out why some people feel the need to abbreviate everything, especially when it's totally unnecessary, like this rant right here xD
I thought when you flanked with the marines, it was brilliant. But i also think not having your Vikings ready to cut his Tempests off from his cannons when they went to go kill the marines was such a missed opportunity.
Respect, great showcase of your skill and talent. The opponent had an expert rush and the follow up was even worse with all those batteries backing up the Tempests!
I remember being in this exact situation and winning in a similar way years ago, counter attack their main + take a secret base + finally overwhelm their tempests after like 15+ mins lol
One of the most entertaining canon rush games ever. 2 things i love, Harstem on edge, and Protoss. I always play Protoss, and Stalkers for me are a somewhat weak unit, something expandable but useful for their flexibility, but the moment that single Stalker got out of the Gateway, that was awesome, it made me appreciate once again how awesome and how strong Stalkers are and how amazing Protoss is.
I dont think he knew about your gold base. If so, he for sure would have attacked it, even if he only used 1 tempest for it or - as you mentioned - the oracle.
if only he had taken the few seconds to take out the pylon in Grefs home base.. just leave one unit behind once the nexus was dead. we are all experts when its not us doing the sweating :)
why no bunker when you see the gate and a tank at least after 2 cyclones... auto repair scvs later would've helped as well, they were following the army idling.
I was reading this watching at the beginning thinking like "oh another dude watching this thinking knows whats better" but holy shit not putting auto repair on scvs this whole time was a massive blunder god damn
@@pusicer hes a good ol broodwar player then, back in my day we didnt have no fancy shmancy auto repair scvs we had to do it manualy! and our scvs had 60hp until the zerg bias blizzard nerfed them!
honestly he threw at the start so he got super lucky the enemy didnt notice the medivac load up workers or the fact that he killed cc and didnt scout with oracle, etc
One thing if you know your opponent will try a cannon rush and you're terran you can just send 2 scvs to hold position next to your supply depot and barracks whilst its building to stop them getting into your base
I had really similar game couple days ago. My opponent was BMing me all the time while doing this, but I manage to win after like 25 minutes of this torture. I was also very satisfied and all in sweat like you were. gg PS.: flying my natural to corner of map also saved me.
I love that the opponent talked about throwing, but you threw heaps of stuff early defending with some control issues. That's the whole point of starcraft
incredible. Empathize with Gref for being so tunneled on the vikings that he forgot to send anything to the gold, or send a zealot to your main once the cyclones were dead.
9:38 - 9:40 seems to be the reason why the game stretched out so much. Never played SC myself, so obviously I'm an expert! Years of suffering the "you need to build additional pylons" might have caused some sort of PTSD and thus Harstem might subconsciously avoid his opponents to suffer the same fate.
Yes huge blunder, he should have killed the pylon, fleet beacon, cyber core and forge before killing the nexus. Would have been send a drop ship and the marines instead of the vikings too probably.
@@Rohit0406 I'm not so sure. He needed the vikings back home to defend against the tempests. Stopping mining at the main base was a must but killing the tech would have taken time he didn't have and building a medivac means less vikings.
Could you not split the Vikings and come at the Tempest's from both sides? Then they have nowhere to retreat to. Not very sophisticated but no-one seems to think of it so it would probably work at least one time?
My mind was blown when you left the beacon pylon live . But then I think it would have lost you the game because he will come back to build it and see your other base .
What we need is for someone who can explain all the ways you could have won this game. You don't learn anything from claiming victory because your opponent was a bigger moron.
getting that CC out with the 5 workers without him realizing was such a clutch play, also really smart to build a medivac to bring more workers over to the base when you realized you needed more income
Wow, so many mistakes were made! 😂 2 adepts shuts down the gold and you lose. Or if you leave one unit on his side it kills all his tech buildings. There’s one hundred other things that went wrong, but that’s the fun of messy StarCraft
this game alone gave me anxiety
“REPAIR YOUR VIKINGS” I screamed over and over while slurping my spaghettios
No cash though. float 200 cash so the micro wouldn't drive player insane
You know, he made many mistakes. He just made less than his opponent. As he said himself.

That was insane; nice that Captain hasn't gave up and ended up with a very satisfying W.
GG WP
What is the meaning of "W"?

like he said sc2 is all about mistakes, he made less than his opponent
Damn, why are such games are always so interesting to watch
sick saves are the best games.
Respect, great showcase of your skill and talent. The opponent had an expert rush and the follow up was even worse with all those batteries backing up the Tempests!
That stalker kill in the early game was clutch
Man, Harstem is so good now. That was a sick game
I remember being in this exact situation and winning in a similar way years ago, counter attack their main + take a secret base + finally overwhelm their tempests after like 15+ mins lol
Never watched a 20 minute game that did not feel like a 20 minute game. I was stressed until it ended and saw 21 minutes had passed lmao
Multiple times I thought the game was a total loss. The fact that you crawled out of the dirt with this win was such a tense moment.

Intense game! And a satisfying win)
We need a serie
PrintF vs harstem and
PrintF vs Uthermal
Or the 3 of them making the entire 3v3 ladder rage quit
I dont think he knew about your gold base. If so, he for sure would have attacked it, even if he only used 1 tempest for it or - as you mentioned - the oracle.
tempest takes like 7 seconds to kill one scv, not the harrasment of choice
not sure it's a good idea to expose your tempest outside of canon and battery protection
He should have known because he loaded 8 SCVs into the medivac under revelation and then the medivac was not seen again for another 5 mins lol

That's what he said
Harstem never autorepair. I am not sure if he knows the functionality honestly

Cause this game is really hard. Remembering to do things is probably the hardest part that even the pros can forget as you see
Great video 11/10 for sure
so satisfying, how did you pull that off

That looked really strong, I would’ve lost
Matches like this make me realize how good Uthermal actually is. Harstem, using a mule on a gold doesn't do anything.
My God!!! I think I would have squeezed my mouse to death when those Oracles started the revelation insanity…
I am clenching my teeth for a win so hard...
YEEEEEEES!!!!!!!
So stressful. Well done
18:02 THIS! 😂
He forgot Tectonic Destabilizers
your finest game in a long time :)
Was thinking if you come back from this then xmas is saved :D :D

what a game. The ammount of controll from Harstem
Holy fuck that was so fun to watch
This cheese is the single reason why I veto'd golden wall back in the day and now el dorado.
thank you on behalf of every terran player ever
when you killed the main, why not take the fleet beacon too?
well played captain, i thought for sure it was over when protoss had that many tempests
4:20 (lol) that was actually very good unit controle
Man this game was really something. ggwp
insane, one of the best in long time, as far rushes go
I'm no expert but I feel like perhaps the hard counters spoken of in legend may have worked out a little better.
Nice to see, that P is not only all time cheesing against Zbut also vs T😮
i felt like i was as stressed as you were and i was just watching, wp
We don't negotiate with toss
Well played and fun to watch
I wanna see the moja response now :)
a thor would have made the game thousands times easier >:(

the longest short game ever

what a sick game!
Would it be better to go Thor?
18:05 Die!! It's funny to see him raged :D
What is Harstem Daily? First time Im expieriencing it
Edited: Nvm I read the descibtion
What about a thor in stead of the tank and a couple of vikings? A thor defended by the vikings would have hit the tempests pretty hard, right?...
When cheese fails
You won because that guy didn't have the multitasking to micro the tempests. And do harass. Very happy to see cannon rusher beaten at their game
Why you didn't destroy pylon is his main base? Wouldn't that help a lot?
20mn of back and forth....hat's off to those who are willing to play this.
Why does is say RoseRating27 on the score screen, and not Gref? I'm about to put on my tinfoil hat, Captain...

I think noone enjoys to be cannon rushed or cheesed by anything. it is actually not even a strategy, it is a game of nerves.
@@keep_walking_on_grass sadly it is a strategy
Best Game I've seen in a long time
Does it seen like he is reacting to Harstems units in fog of war? Ontop of being cheesy using maphack? 7:50 ish
after watching the respectable vod of him losing to a cannon rusher 6 times in a row. I cant take these other cannon rush videos seriously lolz
intense game
I w as so so hoping you would win this game gg
ur micro was a lil off, but u did it. when u lost those first marines in medivac and then tht tank. I thought it was over for u
1 bunker makes your life soooo much easier vs the zealots
Crazy game gg
what if you just moved your base to a spot he couldnt cannon rush
Sick game, would have died 11/10 times and had 69 melt downs, nice.
Brilliant
awesome
I was getting second hand rage from this game
what is moja ?
An German Terran around 50-100 GM usually. Who i assume, out of this video, invented the best response to an cannon rush as Terran.
What is moja things?
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
help.. i cannot unclench my butt. It's been 12h.
one oracle sent to your gold base would win it for him
cool game
what a game dammnnn

wow, amazing!!
Yeah! pretty easy to stop a cannon rush, almost effortless
Lately rushing became almost mandatory in every game, hate it , they all just want to end the game as fast as possible 🤦
