I'm going to be starting Seminary at the beginning of the year, Lord willing, so I was wondering if you had any advice or tips on how to best use logos and all of its features for Seminary use. I imagine highlighting and notebooks will be a large part of that, and I'm super thankful for this video. But I was also wondering if there might be anything else that would specifically help out with Seminary studies and research?
Thank u for this valuable tutorial. So much better than Logos' help videos! I got to understand from u the difference btw Passage Guide vs Factbook from one of your videos. Could u give an overview of the different search boxes, search tools & their differences? Also, when we click a search term, will a new window or tab be opened or the page refreshes itself? How do we go back to the search result page? How do we go to previous search terms & search results i did after doing several different searches? How do we organize our windows arising from different searches? Not sure why when i click a word, it jumps to a window on the right, why it brings up a new tab on the left, or why a new window appears, & when i click the left (or back) arrow, i couldn't find the previous page... 😂
@PastorTanner - do you have any videos on using the Logos tablet app? While I use the Logos desktop app when studying at my desk, I'd like to also use Logos while sitting in a church service / Bible study. When someone shares something on a verse or topic, I'd like to capture that and possibly use later myself. Also, any tricks with Apple Pencil usage or Samsung S-Pen usage. And, when you go to teach do you bring your laptop with you? use a tablet/phone? or print everything out? AND thanks so much for all the great content!
Hi Darren have you since figured out how to do what you are asking about? I started using my phone to locate a verse and then add a note. I like to add a subject tag, like the book or subject.
I second this. Please offer tutorials on how to use the App in different versions. I am struggling in using it with FireHD. I use the desktop version for everyday study, but I want to bring my notes and highlights with me when I take my tablet to church or study and I can't do that right now.

Say, I am looking into Galatians and have a Galatians Notebook and then I moved on to create several Canvas where I marked up (inductive Study style). Naturally I would want to link my Galatians Notebook with these Canvases. I searched Logos Help but could not find anything near or on this.

@@PastorTanner Hello Pastor Tanner, I can see in Canvas, I can get a link to it and paste it inside any Note that is grouped in a particular Notebook. I was hoping for more like a drag-n-drop visually scaled-down version.
Charles, you can join 'groups' on Faithlife and 'opt-in' to other users notes and tags. Those tags were built by those other users and 'shared' to me via the faithlife group.

Do you mean that the words are displaying as red when you would not like them to? If you open the program settings, there is an option to toggle words of Jesus in red on or off.
@@PastorTanner I think what he meant is, for example, create a markup that DOES NOT include changing the text color i.e. create or use a background highlight. Apply it and the words of Christ in Red mysteriously turn black even though your markup did not include a change to text color.
Something a little frustrating ... I purchased Logos Fundamentals - but it does not include the highlighting feature. They dont seem to delineate what exactly you get for features at which level. Highlighting would have been very important to me and I would expect that at entry level.
Yes, I completely understand the frustration of that. The 'available' features in each base package are often buried in a long list and hard to find. Remember they do have a 30-day no questions asked Money-Back guarantee, so if you are still within that window, you can call and return the package and then decide if you want to go deeper. You can also purchase some features a la carte, so you might check one of the feature sets and see if you find the pricing reasonable.

Thank you so much. I will work on putting together some search videos. It is one of the most powerful functions, but not always the easiest to use.

When I created my own highlights (which I love) but the RED words of Jesus turned back. Do know how I keep it RED?
