- The canvas tool is great for BOTH sentence diagramming AND mind mapping! See how to do it in this video.

I watched this video several times and was truly inspired. I am a pastor and my background is Information Technology. I really connected with this and with much prayer I tried it and it was a success. Thank you Pastor Tanner for posting this.
Thank you, Pastor Tanner. I am a subscriber. This is super useful, insightful, and practical. Now I know how to use Mind mapping on Canvas.
Thank you for supporting me! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you out. God bless.

You are a rock star. Way to go!
WOW! This is powerful!!!! I am a visiual learner and often use mindmaps to brainstorm but have never seen something like this for teaching or preaching. Thank you so much for inspring me. I have some homework. And PLEASE... more videos like this 🤗- I've just subscribed.
God Bless you for all you do!
Thanks, Ayo! God bless. :)
@@PastorTanner You’re welcome. Amen 😊
This is fantastic can't wait to use the tips & wisdom here.
Thanks for the kind words, Dolio. Hope you get a lot out of the canvas tool.
Wow! I am inspired and impressed!
Thanks for the encouragement! God bless.
Awesome video!
Great info! Thanks!
My pleasure! God bless. 👍
So cool! Thank you!
My pleasure! Enjoy!!
Thank you, Pastor Tanner, quite an interesting concept (Mind Mapping). Would love to see the basics of putting one together for my Systematic Theology class.
Awesome, Eric. I have put this down as a more in depth topic for the future.
me ajudou muito, thanks!
Just took a methodical study of scriptures course (300 level) at liberty University and I REALLY wish I would have found this before I took that class. 😂
I’ve had logos for several years, not knowing how to use it properly, and I am making it a point to watch your videos and learn… Thank you so much… One question, how do you print off your canvas documents?
Thanks, Scott! I Printscreen (by literally dragging a box around them using something like the snipping tool) them and save them as a photo, then just print them off in landscape.
thank you @@PastorTanner for the quick reply and all your work! One other question that I can't find the answer to...what if I want to put a large passage on the canvas? For some reason it won't automatically make a 2nd page unless I'm missing something? thank you again!
@@scottw502 For me whenever I go beyond the constraints of the given page outline it just expands into more of a field for me to work. There are no page constraints. I'm not sure which setting adjusts this . . .
The way you seem to have this set up allows you to connect an arrow to a text box, so that the arrow follows the text box if you move it. I can't get my canvas to act this way. Is there a setting to make it work like that?
Yes. The text boxes you choose to use need to have 'dots' around the perimeter when you select them. If I recall there are usually 3 on each side depending on the size. If you link the ends of the arrows to the 'dots' it should make it that moving the text box causes that end of the arrow to follow.
I would love to hear some of your sermons
All of my sermons are here on RUclips.
One last question. Trying to use the drawing tool to insert a personal note would require a lot of practice. It is very difficult and time-consuming to draw words. Is there another way to create a note in Canvas? Can I copy and paste a note from Word or from my own notes? Thank you for your help.
Yes, on the far left side you can choose the text option. This will create a text box that you can then type in. Feel free to copy and paste from other sources as with any text box.
@@PastorTanner Wow! Thank you so much (over and out :-)
Is the snipping tool in the canvas tooL?
No, I believe it is native to Windows.
Where can we find a video of you preaching using this mind map?
All of my sermons are available here on this youtube channel. I always preach off of a mind map.
Which iPad is best for preaching from?
I believe the app will run equally well on all current models. For preaching purposes, I would aim for screen size more than anything. I personally would want at LEAST a 10" tablet for preaching purposes.
Can you draw on the canvas on the iPad version
I don't believe so - that isn't its typical functionality even on a desktop.
I started using Canvas for Logos 10 yesterday. I saved my work with the title "2 John Study", but today I can't pull it up. How do I retrieve it? What am I missing?
As long as you made a change to the page, it should be listed under ‘documents.’
@@PastorTanner Thank you!
Pastor Tanner, where do you stand in the debates between the Arminians and the Calvinists?
I have several videos defending the Calvinist position, but it is not an issue I like to focus much attention on.
@@PastorTanner You must know that Calvinist soteriology is a heretical fantasy concocted to make Christians have a false sense of ease in salvation. That is a dangerous theology. 👎👎👎
@@nicholassilverio2227 meh, I’m not so convinced. I’m not sure it matters very much.
What is a Chiasm or Kiasm (Key - As-m)

How can I get your template?
You can build the templates for the arrows and boxes themselves. Once you get them the way you like, just drag and drop them into favorites on the left side.
Any chance you can share your favorites with instructions.
I’ll add it to the list.
Do you have a Faithlife group that we can join ?
No, but the best way to interact our community is through the Discord channel. Link should be in the description.
