I remembered playing it as a kid on an arcade machine. I never finished it and allways wondered how the rest of the game was. Thank you for uploading this, because I looked everywhere for this game!
Thank you. I’ve been looking for this for decades. This was in the arcade on the ship that took me to Legoland in 93. We played it and Turtles every night all the way there and back
My Favourite arcade game of all time!! Fun fact, Phase 2 Mechanised Cave was hands down the most batshit fast insane we'd ever seen from any arcade game when this thing hit our local arcade in Aberdare, South Wales, UK!! Also, the ROM in the Aberdare cabinet was a bit bugged as the title screen read " I R BUS " so for about 15 years I always knew this game as I R BUS and it wasnt until the internet many many years later that I learned the real name Airbusters :O
Me siento afortunado de tener este súper juego. , Lo compré hace muchos años lo tengo como colección es mi favorita está placa arcade , lo mejor de los 9Os , un exelente juego , para esos años
Bad ass shooting game!!. I used to play the heck out of this game when it hit the arcades in the US back in 1991. I also owned the Genesis version. It was an exact copy of the arcade. EGM magazine gave both the Genesis and Turbo Grafx 16 versions near perfect scores.
This is the first time I've seen the arcade version. I owned both the TG16 and Genesis versions. I am surprised how close the Genesis version ended up being. The arcade definitely had better sound effects.
and another one by Sensei SCHLAUCHI! Kaneko was a company not known to make good games, but even I gotta admit a few of their shmups were just awesome-sauce! like this one (also known as Aero-Blaster in some parts of the world), Cyvern and Heavy Unit among a few others.
Great game, never really mentioned a lot. Great soundtrack, love the theme to stage 5, as well as the boss theme. Bought the Genesis version, complete with clamshell case, while the game was still pretty cheap ($10), you won't pay that little anymore for it.
@@mariowario5945 All versions of the game are great but one thing's pretty cool about the TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine version; they re-did the music on the second level so it matches the action on screen. It gets more intense when you speed through the tunnels which is quite innovative for its time.
Strange to me that Wikipedia says reviews at the time mentioned the "low difficulty", when I've played the PCE version and it's not what I would think of as easy, even the first stage throws you into the deep end from the get go with lots of enemies and projectiles all over the screen.
Me and my friend used to play this to death in the 90s, we figured out that the game difficulty scales with how many power-ups you collect, if you only collect 2 power-ups and no more(side arms are fine), the game is actually pretty easy 😁
It's actually the opposite : Air Buster is the Genesis version's name & Aero Blasters the Mega Drive's one :) The game starts easy but becomes quite hard in later levels.
This game is just make me smile with tears in my eyes, I use to play this game a lot at my local arcade.
Eso es una enfusion sobre un juego de coches o de gradius por eso este tiene velocidad rápida y los otros eran lentos

Thanks for the longplay, i enjoyed watching it.

I don't know why, but the sound of that small plane taking off was adorable

The music and sound effects alone is nostalgia
Congraturations! Here's the crue.
Wow, the sound effects and music is much more superior on the arcade version than the home console version on the SEGA Megadrive.
I actually disagree. I prefer the genesis sound effects and music.

I like the Genesis port
@@thehumbleone1983 Although I think PC Engine port is superior to it, I don't think there was any bad port of this game at all.
Funny at the name input high-score screen, it has the old Donkey Kong moniker (How high can you get?) 😂
what Cheats uses? (21:13 - 21:17, and many more) i played in an arcade and won 1,600,000 points
They can destroy an entire city in a few seconds but can't take down one lone fighter.
Muy buen Juego Gracias!. Lo Jugué varias veces. Muy bueno y frenético!
excellent game of my childhood.waooooooooo
ALL PHASE PASSED CONGRATULATIONS!
I've always thought as a kid that the first level boss was a flying motorcycle
One of my favs Turbo Graphix 16

I think this game had a different name on genesis. I remember playing it when it was called Aero Blasters. The same game. It was hard as hell!

Ah, so this is the game that turrican 2's spaceship stages were based on
I thought that aswell that boss section with the multi layer scrolling
ALL PHASE PASSED CONGRATURATIONS
Just bought a original copy for 40 with shipping hard to find that was the cheapest I could find
I own the Sega Genesis game it’s a good port 👍
17:54 Taste the Rainbow!!
This game was the amaaaazing to my ten year old self.
How to play in Android mobile ?
Turrican so copied that high speed section circa 4:00
The music is a LOT better on the PC Engine version seemingly (especially Stage Two, which is amazing on PCE).
Nick arcade 1992
YES!
Nice
the music of the tg16 version is FAR superior !
인간적으로 너무 어려움 ㅜㅜ
Para mi la versión de SEGA es la mejor.
