- A trip to Bill's Restaurant and Bar for a FULL ENGLISH Breakfast and a NASTY SURPRISE! This has to be the WORST Breakfast and some of the WORST food I have ever reviewed! Not a good end to the year 2021. Here's my UK Food review of Bill's and a New Year's message and what's to come in 2022.

Yeah that stuff looked worse than one of those cheap frozen all day breakfast meals lol
this is why i always go to proper greasy spoon local cafes for a proper fry up and not these trendy fancy places.
I know the coffee at Greggs isn’t great but a roll and a drink for what they charge is really good 👍 and no service charge!

Only when try to charge you for a tiny paper bag. Then try to make you feel bad saying it’s for charity 🤡

Wish I'd seen your review before I went for same breakfast in Bill's in Cardiff Bay last week.
Have to say that I was disappointed too. I asked for scrambled eggs which were overcooked.
Yes, for me too, the sausage was awful. So overcooked.

Bill’s is the ultimate triumph of style over substance.
It looked like everything had been cooked before Christmas and kept warm since then. There’s no way those eggs had been cooked to order.

When I see the state of that egg I did actually think someone was playing a joke on you lol. That egg looked so fake 🤣 must be horrible for the staff especially when they arnt cooking it. Good honest review. Look forward to your visit to Ainster ( that’s the local vernacular for Anstruther) we visited the chip shops there last year and it’s a tough choice between there and Arbroath . The St Andrew chip shops are good as well. Happy new year.

I'm English, I had to google 'eggs over easy'. Surprised to see expressions like that on an English review. I appreciate Americans watch the videos but I bet you would be hard pushed to see an American reviewing items in America, using English expressions to satisfy the English viewer.

That breakfast looked awful. By the way... what is an "egg over easy"? Is it like a pink egg, or an egg turned over once, once its mostly cooked on the flat top?

This seriously reminds me of the time circa 2011 I made a Christmas morning fry up. I was about 4 cans in and got the timings all wrong so ended up bunging stuff in the oven to keep it warm however I ended up roasting most of it haha. I remember day dreaming cooking the beans for about 20 minutes haha. It was alot of fun however wouldn't have charged for it
Laughed at that vlog. What a bloody awful looking breakfast. Couldn't stop laughing at the rubber eggs! Anyhow, if you're up in Scotland and you go anywhere near the West Coast and Oban, call in at the George St Chippy & Restaurant. The only takeaway chippy where I was offered a lemon slice with my fish!! And the fish supper was divine!!! Happy New Year to You and Yours!

Dude, those eggs are microwaved; that's how that horrible plastic film forms over the yolks, plus there are weird holes in the egg whites and both eggs are in the exact circular shape of a microwaveable container. Everything else looks pretty shonky too. Possibly the toast was not done in a microwave. But I bet they would have if they could have. I would have sent that meal back.

Bills are interesting, they started off as a greengrocer in 2001and are now a chain of 80 odd "food outlets"
Ultimately owned by the company/chap that also owns the Ivy chain as well as most of the upper-end Restaurant & Clubs in London.
One of the problems with these types of places is consistency, they have huge menus to try and cater to everyone but not enough of the right staff to deliver the goods.
Where are the family-run cafes that we all used to frequent in our youth?

The diner is very retro and the food is good. Shame about your breakfast, when you held up the eggs, it looked like an alien!! All the best for 2022.

Looks like it was cooked hours ago in bulk and stewed on a hotplate. Occasionally at a Premier Inn if you have a late 1030am breakfast it looks like this, but not quite as bad!

This looked really awful. Not good enough for nearly a tenner. However, I think describing it as " one of those trendy, millenial places" is unfair to be honest. I live and work in Manchester which is full of "cool, trendy places to be" and they serve top notch food which would be ranked up there with the very best, millennial or not. The difference between those and this would be that the majority of them are independent. I think a sub-standard chain would be a better description of Bills if I'm honest!
