100k YAY!! Congratulations Renee! I found you this year doing research on hysterectomy recovery. While recovering I watched most of your videos, and fell in love with your energetic personality, your dogs and your family! We have SO many things in common!! ❤ Cheers to you!! And Enjoy this beautiful holiday season!! Merry Christmas!! 🎄
Congratulations on hitting 100,000 subscribers! Very well deserved, indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing your celebratory video. In the meantime, I'm enjoying Vlogmas.
Yay! Honestly, I miss them too. Didn't realize it until I started filming Vlogmas. Thinking I need to do more of these on a regular basis. So glad you love them!
Congratulations on reaching 100,000 subscribers. I just found your videos this year and love watching them. I have tried so many of your recipes, bought things you have recommended. I’m looking forward to your Vlogmas videos. Thank you for all the effort you put into your videos. Merry Christmas 🎄
I definitely will be trying this. I am making your Christmas Crack this weekend for an early holiday family get together. Congratulations on 100K subscribers. Can't wait for you to share your silver RUclips plaque.
I can’t wait to make this….I lived in the south years ago and y’all KNOW HOW TO ENJOY FOOD! All that crunching going on at the end, I could ALMOST taste it!😂
THANK YOU FOR SHARING, I WILL HAVE TO MAKE THIS WITHOUT THE SPICE, WE CAN'T EAT HOT SPICEY THINGS ANYMORE. I WILL HAVE TO THINK ABOUT WHAT TO PUT IN IT. THANK YOU AGAIN, I AM EXCITED TO EAT THIS.
I make a similar version of Chex mix and pour them onto parchment paper or plain old paper grocery bags to cool and dry. It speeds up the cooling process!!
Thanks Renee. Seeing those little fingers dipping in and getting sneak peak tastes is adorable. Great shot!!! Enjoy your family over the holidays and hope Randy's team wins today. Maxxie has it made in his soft blanket😊Oh, and Congratulations on your 100,000 You Tube. That is a wonderful achievement and great for us as the content is entertaining and so personable we get addicted because we simply just Love you, your family and fur babies. Thanks for all the quality time you put into each episode.
I made it yesterday, thinking it sounded kind of gross, but being curious. It is DELICIOUS. I was a bit afraid it would be way too spicy for me, but I actually think I'll kick up the seasonings a bit next batch. I've seen different varieties recently, such as bourbon bacon, which sounds pretty good. That one uses butter, though, and I actually really like the oil. It's light and just enough. Man, this was good - and addictive!
I like to use the honey nut version of the cereals for a sweet and salty taste…and in Canada I use Shreddies instead of Chex…not sure if you get that in the US.
Since 1952, when the makers of Chex cereals first put out the recipe, then called “Party Mix,” it has always called for butter. To each their own, but I prefer butter over oil.
👏👏🎉🥳👏👏🎉🥳 Congrats on 100K!!! Love y’all and your fur kiddos. Been with you since Pollux was newly adopted. Still love seeing those boys. We have enjoyed Chex Mix as family tradition since 50’s only Dad worked for General Foods his whole career so we used Post Cereals and snuck in Kix. Mom used mixed nuts however I prefer only a couple varieties of nuts in mine. Will pass on your recipe to my daughter. They enjoy spicy hot. I am low carb so none for me. Happy Holidays! 100K calls for celebration. 🎊🥂🍾🎊
Oh yay! Randy wanted me to spice it up so I've been working on adding more of the flavors and that's how I've been making it this year. So good and does have a kick!
I use butter and a quarter cup of Worcestershire sauce, and then every 15 minutes I take out of the oven and sprinkle more Worcestershire sauce and more garlic salt! I love how we all make it differently! Merry Christmas!
I agree how we all have our version. Guess how so many of us got started with the butter is because the first recipe that appeared on the back of the Chex boxes was made with butter. From there we have all tweaked the recipe to be as spicy as we like it and with our favorite munchies. We have started using Crispix cereal which seems to hold the liquid so nice and it doesn’t break up as easily when stirring, for my “wheat” taste I love the miniature spoon size shredded wheat! Love it! Then we add the pretzels, cashews, and Cheerios. I use lots of Frank’s and Worcestershire so it keeps the butter diluted to where I have never felt anything was greasy or too heavy. One thing I do is after I take it out of the oven I turn it out on a big brown paper sack that I have cut open, if I have newspaper around I have also spread my mix out on it. I let it cool there and have left it there for an hour or two as I baked the next batch. The paper pulls extra liquid and oil from the mix and my mix is also wonderful. As my husband has gotten older he cannot tolerate heat like when he was younger so I might have to adjust his some this year. (Usually I have him tough it out) but I guess after 45 years I should start giving in and fixing him his own! I had all my grocery items delivered and everything is all lined up. We used to add a large jar of mixed nuts and then we would double up on the cashews but now we just do it with cashews. This mix is great year round and for sure for the Super Bowl. You eat it after you make it and I have to put a batch back for Christmas Eve or there wouldn’t be any left for Christmas. Guess all over, we all love our party mix! Merry Christmas everyone. ❤
I definitely will try making this to take to our Christmas Party. So, did you put in 1 cup each of the Rice, Wheat, and Corn Chex? I wasn't quite sure. Thanks for the snack idea. I took your Christmas Crack last year and it disappeared.
Since Thanksgiving, I've made 3 batches of Nuts & Bolts....and making my 4th today! It's so good and addicting 😋
Im assuming you don’t eat low carb over the holidays? Do you still do that in general? Do you find it hard to go back to it after taking a break?
Hubby approved! Thank you for sharing! Yes can’t stay out of it😊!
I soooo miss these videos. Thank you for at least doing vlogmas.
Glad you like them! I'm having fun filming them and forgot how much they are!

Thank you so much!
congratulations on 100k very well deserved
Thank you so much 😀
Can wait to make!!! ❤❤
❤
We would never use oil as a replacement for salted butter. Gives it a wonderful flavor. But, you do you.
I can't wait to try this recipe 😊
It's so good!
Yay!!! You reached your 100K!! Congratulations you hard working woman ! :) Enjoy your channel so much!
Thank you so much!!
This looks delicious! Can’t wait to try it out
Christmas favorite here too! I'm not a fan of pretzels, so I do put in a few pretzels but add in crunchy Cheetos to total 2 cups.
I’m definitely going to try this! I’ve always used butter as well. I’ve never heard of using oil. TOUCHDOWN KENTUCKY! LOL
Renee, you are just AMAZING!! I just love your videos!!❤️👋

Absolutely! yes :)

I didn’t expect it to be savoury, I wonder if we have the cereals in the uk to have a go at trying this out xx
You can use any generic brand of pretzels, chex cereal and cheerios. I would assume you have something like that in the UK....hopefully so!
I was wondering the same thing maybe Shreddies?
@@JC.GranmaShreddies are very similar to Chex. Here in Canada a lot of people use Shreddies.
@@JC.Granma yes , shreddies, or the cheaper version shops own brand 👍

Likely developed by the cereal company's kitchens to sell more product. Chex mix goes back at least a half century that I actually can recall myself.
Yes! We made your recipe (I think when you posted last Christmas) it was amazing! We will add the siracha this year 🩷🩷
Oh yay! Randy wanted me to spice it up so I've been working on adding more of the flavors and that's how I've been making it this year. So good and does have a kick!

This is also a Christmas tradition here in Western Canada 🇨🇦. We do a little different version of the recipe.
Cheeze-Its. You need Cheeze-Its in it!
Nuts & Bolts and Baked Caramel Corn are holiday requirements!
I definitely will try making this to take to our Christmas Party. So, did you put in 1 cup each of the Rice, Wheat, and Corn Chex? I wasn't quite sure. Thanks for the snack idea. I took your Christmas Crack last year and it disappeared.
Hi! It’s 2 cups of Chex total….you can use your choice of wheat, rice or corn.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🌲🌲🌲⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
What can we add if we have nut allergies.
You can skip the nuts entirely! Or you can add potato sticks....or cheeze-its
For anyone having problems pronouncing Worcestershire sauce just say Where's your sister sauce 😊 Thanks for the nuts and bolts
I can never pronounce it correctly! I stared the bottle...tried my best...and literally gave up! LOL
Cool
@@WelcomeToMyCurls…We call it “ Worst Word in the World Sauce” at my house.🤣
AWESOME!! 🤣👏🏽👏🏽
I say it: wuss--ter--sheer
cereal is so polluted mpw
❤
