The 10mm bolt with the spacer behind, the notch is where you put a pointed pic to stop the lever to stop movement when you loosen or tighten the 10mm, also spraying brake clean does NOT clean the powervalve properly, fully disassembled is required and strong cleaner like YAMAHA CUMBUSTION CHAMBER CLEANER should be used to clean it along with a brass wire brush. Emmanuel Parra I would clean out your power valve, I would take out your power valve (arms, springs, 2 cylinders, all those little pieces) clean thoroughly and re assembly with prelube and lock tight for those little 3 screws. I would make sure that the 2 opening cylinders on each side of the cylinder aren’t opening at the same time or in sync, that could also cause that. I’d also check your carb settings and tune from there.

good job dude, everyone on here is talking shit about literally the stupidest things. It's your bike, you cleaned it first, you'd know if any major debris fell into the engine. don't let them get to you, they've probably never worked on an engine in their lives.

You don't need any major debris to fall in for it to be a bad thing. All that gunk contains tiny particles which could destroy any moving parts or scratch the cylinder. You really don't want to spray that dirt down into your engine. The right way to do it is with the cylinder off the bike. With that you can leave the radiators on the bike.

When you tightened the arm back onto the valve linkage your suppose to put a pin in first that’s supplied by Yamaha when you buy the bike before you tighten it. Otherwise you could damage it.
    Be careful when assembling.

The coolant overflow is right next to the ypvs guck drain. Guck drain is black hose, clear one is the coolant overflow, slow speed riding or idling a hot engine will cause overflow, if your riding trails and it's getting hot, make sure as soon as you stop turn it off. I ride hard enduro on my 2018 yz250 and to help with overflow I added a coolant overflow recovery tank, video on my channel. Have a look

Not the best way to clean the power valves . All the crab spray went down into the cylinder. . You can easily pull out the values by using a allen key . Place a small key under pin or in the pin hole. Wiggle and pull up. Check your owner manual for diagram directional insert of the power valves. Some bikes the head will have to be removed to free valves.
