Almost every drummers actually are a multi instrumentalist. Drum to me is a more advanced instrument than a guitar or keys. And yep all of the drummers that i know they all can play guitar even if they not that good-good they still know how to play it.

As a fellow drummer, I can feel Taylor's pain here... there is nothing more frustrating than a band member starting a song that you really wanna play and turns out he was just "fooling around" and stops before you even start..
On another note, though, it seems like Dave still hasn't fully recovered from Cobain's suicide, and likely never will. Just look at the way he reacted to "Their heads would explode!" joke in this exact video. Real sad, man. I don't think he can play any Nirvana songs.

Poor Dave he suffered alot from Kurt's death. He had depression for quite a time where he made bad decisions too. Maybe Nirvana's songs will bring him back the memories which will make him sad.

They haven't played the obvious ones like the ones here but you could count Marigold as a Nirvana song since it was only released as a Nirvana song and not officially released by FF. They also did the Nirvana version of Molly's Lips once
Look at how Dave got nervous as soon as Chris started playing Lithium. Like come as you are and teen spirit were hit enough to be silly when covering them but when you move towards lithium it gets more real. Its like "hold up this shit is getting serious now"

He basically got off the drugs and made a new band. On the other hand kurt shot himself in the face with a shotgun, despite all of the people who loved him, which inspired others to commit the deed. After kurt did the deed.. my respect for him went down... after Dave got clean... my respect went way up. Daves baby was and always is the music.
Nirvana is coming back. For many years many people got sick of nevermind being everywhere all the time. Now that is wearing off and people can appreciate it for what it is... an absolute masterpiece. Even Dave is tempted.

To the family of Taylor my most heartfelt sadness, over your loss. And Dave too of course. When Ronnie James Dio died... I binged-watched out in 2010 on Dio/Rainbow/Sabbath and even his ELF audio. Same with Rush after Neil Peart... Chris Cornell. To a lesser extent, a lot of David Bowie. Charlie Watts too, the list keeps growing sadly (as do the gray hairs on my head/beard). And just like when Zeppelin closed up shop on an era, after John Henry Bonham unexpectedly died - I think playing songs with a "Taylor Hawkins replacement" is certainly something Dave is thinking about halting Foo Fighters. I grew up playing/learning the same songs these guys did and... LOL (Dave I plenty of guitars... I also have a Wermoothy, parts'caster a Chris Shiflett Tele neck! Lol- hit me up. Lol - I'd even play 3rd fiddle to you n' Chris) There's no shortage of greats waiting in the wings for that drums gig. Travis Bickel and Chad Smith are two that come to mind who could finish the current tour on a week or two notice
