    Hi guys,
I’m riding a 2018 wet head in Ireland on short and long rides into Europe.. I’ve thought it’s better to have the automatic shut off.It is a hard fit to make the hoses work but having done it my experience is that it works well.In the tight area at the front of the crankcase my hands are in bits!😂😂😂

Just a note. Got a full JAGG kit on my 2013 48 and love it. Temps were going up to 240 during parades or slow funeral escorts. Temps are generally 80s and 90s on Guam. After some time noticed cooler wasn't having oil go through. Seems built-in value was stuck in bypass. Ordered the replacement, but master tech recommend having it always open. So he did something. Never had issue since. Usually see temperature go to 190-210.

That is a great reason someone may want the manual bypass! Glad you got yours fixed. Those are some great oil temps! Thank you for commenting! 👍 MB

What I would really like is a smaller oil cooler for my M8 softail.... something that doesnt block the airflow to my engine so much. Something made of aluminum, and is more boxy and not as tall as the stock one.

One may be able to make that work, however, it will not be plug-n-play. That oil cooler is integrated with the M8 oil that goes around the exhaust valves, and even if one did do the work of removing the factory oil cooler and replacing it with a smaller one, I am not sure it would handle the extra heat well at all.

    I have had a Jagg 10
Row oil cooler on my 2007 Fatboy for about three years. It has a built in bypass for cold weather. Ride year round.

I have the side mount, from you of course, without the bypass.
I'm happy with it as it is.

Why are Jagg oil coolers "the best". In comparison the jagg oil coolers only flow around 75 cfm compared to an ultracool brand one that flows around 220 cfm over the cooling fins.. Both with fans of course. Wouldn't that make the engine cooler over all from the ultracool? I'm in the market to buy one at the moment and not sure which one to go for..TIA

We have tested the Ultracool Oil Coolers, with fans and without fans (we were considering running some on our own bikes and offering them on our website). They definitely cool the oil a significant amount. They do Not cool the oil as well as the Jagg oil coolers. They are around 80% as effective as the Jagg units.
Additionally, they do not make their adapters, coolers or fans. One of the reasons their coolers have so many counterfeits (see their homepage) is because the factories that they have used in China are knocking them off.
They only have a 1 year warranty...and if you have a new Touring model with lower fairings they want you to cut the lower fairing.
If it was the only oil cooler available, we would run it. But it is not.
Jagg makes their own and if you have a problem with one 5 or 10 years down the road they will take care of you.
Jagg has been the lead dog in oil coolers for decades, and they are still the leader in cooling, quality, and backing up their product.

Great thanks for the fast reply..The warranty part and where they are made is a big decision maker for me and I didn't realise Jagg has such a long warranty period..You've just added the deal breaker for me and I think I'll go with the Jagg..Thanks for the advice and thanks for the time and effort you guys put into the great information videos you put out..They really help👍
