Rochelle - UP Waits On BNSF Then Horn Battles Another UP At Washington Street

September 8, 2013: As BNSF 4985 West Intermodal approaches Rochelle Railroad Park, another horn can be heard in the distance. Re-positioning to the UP side, the source of the horn is revealed as the tail end of the BN train crosses the diamonds. It is UP 6770 East Grain. As UP 6770 starts to make it's way across the diamonds on track 1, another horn is heard in the distance and an approach aspect is displayed on the westbound track 2 signal. As UP 6770 crosses 7th street, UP 7988 West Intermodal comes into view on track 2. The two UP trains battle horns as they meet at the Washington street crossing. The westbound intermodal is short and the two UP trains part ways at the diamonds.
